It seems Libya is now holding out longer than Serbia - though the bombing was more intense on Serbia's civilian infrastructure and there were far more countries and planes participating in the bombing.

Geee.... I never did think I can say the "neo-con and neo-liberal extremist poodles serving their bibsi overlords of Wall Street" phrase in my life in defense of Gaddafi - but I may re-consider it. What a world we live in... :-O

Is this the same Libyan authorities who the other day did a story about a baby being killed as a result of a NATO air-strike even though the Hospital where the baby was taken stated that it died as a result of a road traffic accident? I think it is fair to say that you should take whatever Gaddafi and co have to say with a pinch of salt.

No they're not saying that, they're saying that we have a large deficit which needs reducing hence the cuts.
"They can't afford to maintain their health service, build affordable housing, create more school places, sent their students to universities or care for the elderly, but they can afford to blow the shit out of the Libya." - Leonidas
This is just part of the Tory agenda of wanting to keep the working classes poor and to Privatise everything as they know the middles classes can afford it and money can be made from it at the expense of the working classes. The Torys are just taking advantage of this deficit to benefit their political agenda. And of-course we "can afford to blow the shit out of Libya" as the UK has the fourth highest military budget in the world (behind the US, China and France).

I´m surprised they waited until now to do it. One of NATOs first targets after in Yugoslavia was RTS (for sending "propaganda", so i guess it´s ok for Iraq Afghanistan and Iran to bomb FOX CNN & BBC)subsequently, after becoming an alliance of overseas aggression, they bombed Iraqi television and a number of journalist both from the Arab world like Al Jazeera and European like Nicola Calipari who took the shots and died for Giuliana Sgrena in an American ambush, waiting them in. Same thing in Afghanistan and in Gaza and Palestine too.
