You must be talking about the organ harvesting fairytale. If there were no proof Milosevic would not have had to present his defense, the case would have been dismissed when the prosecution rested.

ZORAN AND wtf, if you are adamant in your belief that Milosevic was innocent and would have proven himself so, then there is no arguing with your beliefs that he was somehow killed by the west.
You do bring to mind a favorite proverb for brevity sake I will only quote the one verse that is pertinent:
He who knows not
and knows not
He knows not
he is a fool, shun him.

--"This would certainly not be the first time we get an indictee who is trying to prove he is physically or mentally unfit to follow a trial," she said. However, we have not yet had a case that the Tribunal declared anyone physically or mentally unfit, nor has the indictment against anyone been dropped for these reasons, she concluded.--

This cry of "ill health" is always the hallmark of every 2-bit mass murderer that finally -- due to a culmination of outside pressures -- comes to see their day in court. if mladic wanted to face trial at the height of his good health, he should have turned himself in in 1995, instead of hiding out like a damn coward for 16 years. so give us all a break and extradite him now, and we shall put him on trial. period.

mladic is one evil piece, i mean even for the balkans, even for serbian war criminals, he is especially evil. after he was arrested, in his poor ill health, he was still reportedly threatening people. the nightmare never ends. just one recent link, which may have already previously been cited:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/may/28/ratko-mladic-serbs-share-guilt

other people have alluded to it, but i will say quite openly: i want him tried, convicted, and had i the option, executed. ala eichman. that is how vile his war crimes have been. some years in a comfy prison hardly seems appropriate to the crimes, for the thousands of victims.

yes, of course the Hague is too "civilized" for such punishments. on the other hand, the intrnl community had no problem facilitating the genocide in bosnia, ordered by milosevic and co., executed by karadzic and this evil mladic, not to mention the many, many other willing executioners (99% of whom have found total impunity for their crimes.) so something is quite wrong here, quite off kilter.

on a lighter note, thanks for the foto of our frnd (frndly acquaintance) Nerma. she is one sharp cookie, a fearless journalist, also glamorous. quite a woman. she comes from visegrad, one of the many sites of greater serbia's genocide project -- in fact just late last year they were still digging up the remains of those bosnian victims. there's a very moving article about that project on helsinki committee's website:

http://www.helsinki.org.rs/index.html

just search the site.

nerma is fearless and driven, and i have such respect for her. glad she ended up where she is today.

i do hope to witness some of mladic's trial, up close and personal. we shall see.

again i wish to thank all those who never gave up, kept pushing for this arrest, never bought in to all of the lies and diversions. we did it! never give up in the pursuit of truth and justice, even when things seem the most hopeless...

If they can put 90+ year old Nazi war criminals on trial they can certainly prosecute someone 68 who has successfully "eluded" capture for all these years, especially since the Serbian govt was leaving no stone unturned during their search for him.
Eventhough the last comment was tongue in cheek, common sense tells you anyone capable of putting together such a campaign to avoid arrest is certainly mentally and physically competent to assist in his own defense.

However, we have not yet had a case that the Tribunal declared anyone physically or mentally unfit, nor has the indictment against anyone been dropped for these reasons, she concluded.

We are aware of that and the reason so many have died or shall we say killed?

These are NATO´s own team of doctors, from NATO Anglo.American & client states just like the rest of the "tribunal".

Milosevic where suspicious about them and for good reason (just one week before his death he wrote a letter about something fishy going on, his request for independent Russian doctors where denied by the NATO court). As it turned out, they where (by "mistake") giving him Rifamcinin which knocked out his other medication for blood pressure and subsequently led to his death, just before he was about to wrap up his case. A very successful one.

The odds for General Mladic to survive this inquisition is about zero.
