Russian President Dmitry Medvedev speaking at the G8 Summit in France called on Gaddafi to resign and said that some countries might be able to shelter him.

This gathering of G8 leaders reminds me a scene of Godfather the movie and the gathering of the mafia leaders in Cuba under Battista to share the spoils.

Regarding Libya ,it is disingenuous of russian leaders to claim on one hand they’re appalled by the bombing of Libya by western powers and then for Medvedev to offer his services in removing Gaddafi. Whether one dislikes Gaddafi ,and i include myself in this group, its up to the Libyans themselves to choose their leaders and for anyone else.

I think Medvedev knows that Libya is just a game of chess. It will get more interesting as it reaches check mate and the strategic skirmishes in the region come to a head.Iam dying to see what will be Russia’s next move.
