After seeing his wife and son, Mladic asked to visit the cemetery where his daughter Ana has been buried after committing suicide in 1994. An article on her father written by the former editor of a monthly magazine People's Army, Gajo Petkovic, showed her the real picture of her dad. Mladic is far from being the WAR HERO some Serbs think he is. Read this:

So the Mladić family's lawyer has asked that "a medical report be compiled on whether [Ratko Mladić] has the capacity to act, that is defend himself from the charges that he is facing".

The world invites the lawyer to demonstrate the relevance of that request. He implies that the roughly 7500 Bosnian Muslim men and boys who were murdered at Srebrenica in July 1995 had all been in _perfect health_ before they so unaccountably met their collective state of terminal poor health. None of them was in a position to plead "poor health" to their murderers or to whichever person was the main instigator of the command to murder them.

Anyway, any fugitive from justice who for 16 years was able to hide in the open in his own country is likely to have retained his wits throughout that time.

No one has clean hands, not Bosnian Muslims not Albanians.

Your statement is very cynical and heartless. The men slaughtered in Srbernica were no fighters, everyone knows that, none of them was killed fighting or holding a gun in their hand. They were with their families, sorrounded by Serbian forces for months trying to survive in the city, until Serb forces separated them. Their killers were typical cowards, killing them while they could not defend themselves and had no chance to fight back.

During WWII no one had clean hands too. Americans bombed German cities and killed innocent german civlians, russians did the same..... But it was clear who was the main culprit and who was to blame for all the evil that happened.

After all is said and done, Serbs remain the main perpetrators. They had the main guns and power, with which they could have brought and command peace. Instead they used their power and guns to kill, cleanse, and dig mass graves.

He was in Lazarevo at another relative's patron saint day celebration, but he had no contact whatsoever (with Mladić). He didn't even imagine that his father was so close, the houses are very close. It's up to you whether you are going to believe that or not, I cannot make anyone believe something they don't."

I'm not going to believe. And I'm not going to believe that the relatives didn't know about where Mladic was hiding. In the end, he was even hiding in the house of another relative. Hard to imagine the police wasn't able to find that out. Or is it like in a Kosovo clan where a person has 1000s of relatives?

Could not resist the opportunity to slam the Albanians, could you? Do you not realize Mladic who you apparently detest, was able to do what he did because the hatred was so ingrained that people could not have a conversation without slamming the non Serbs.

But now I think it is coming to light that this was not a govt operation at all. Mladic is in need of medical attention and this is all a ruse inorder to get it for him. The govt did not "track him down" his "capture" was arranged, now he will spend the rest of his days in a hospital and no trial will take place, due to his failing health. And your govt will swelled up their chest and say to the world "our hands are clean now".
Sad isn't it?

Classic debate: a non-Serb mentions the Srebrenica massacre of July 1995, and a Serb counters with comments about the earlier massacres carried out by Muslims from 1992-3.

Of course, Srebrenica is just one area, and while the number of Muslim victims there in 1995 alone could probably ensure that Serbs would lose any serious debate about massacres in that town, what about all the other places along the Drina?

One more thing to Obilic and the rest.

You are so blind that you don't understand that if Mladic did not do what he did in Bosnia, you would not have such problem with Kosova today.
You are so ignorant to know that the west intervened in Kosova, precisely to prevent a second Srebrenica, precisely because they saw what Serbs like Mladic could do in the name of "Greater Serbia".

In the most cynic way one can say that the suffering and the dead men in Srebrenica gave Kosova the freedom that K-Albanians enjoy today. Regardless of who started the war, Mladic made Serbia a pariah and a criminal state in the eyes of the western Europe and US.

You keep calling Mladic a hero. I say only a person with serious mental issues could continue to do so.

1/ … murdered in cold blood thousands of civilians

*** Just like the other side had done to 25% of the Serbian civilians of Srebrenica …

. 2/ … Where is justice? Why is he given the right to see his family ?

*** What about Naser Oric and Harris Silaijic and late Alija Izetbegovic ?

P.S.

It's quite logical they asked for Russian doctors cause by now Russia is the only state to stand openly against this extradition. Russia insists that this one side practice should be stopped or implemented to all the sides involved to the Balkan conflicts. Punishing mostly Serbs won't bring them succes. They can check it when they meet Adolf and Benito.

Miri, nobody is forcing you to read these articles. Please do us all a favor and stop reading ad posting your comments. Btw General Mladic is a HERO. He was protecting his people, let's not forget how many hundreds of Serbs were slaughtered in Srebrenica before Mladic arrived.

It's so irritating to read these articles.

This beast murdered in cold blood thousands of civilians, evaded the justice for a decad and now he is looking for medical treatment. He is having his family visiting him while thousands of Srebrenica mothers and wives will never see their sons and husbands. Where is justice? Why is he given the right to see his family? How could someone have compassion for this criminal?

If their sons and husbands didn't go around murdering Serbians in the surrounding villages then they would probably be alive today. You can thank the Dutch for sheltering those killers after finishing their murderous rampages. No one has clean hands, not Bosnian Muslims not Albanians.
