His job as General of the Bosnian Serb army was the preservation of Serbian lives and territory. Why would you expect him to shoot fellow Serbian officers/soldiers when they've come to arrest him? It's not as if the SAS or the 'Seals' were going to arrest him so him resisting would have resulted in the death(s) of more young Serbian men and that would be contrary to his profession.

Like Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden, Mladic is a coward. Now for Oric, Dudakovic and Hash to face the judge to answer for their crimes.

All cowards, each and every one of them to the last.

To the wankers who previously posted, you have no clue about who did what. How many innocent people have america and its allies killed in the past 10 years????? but thats all for the good of hummanity, right?

It's not at all surprising that a coward who chose to slaughter unarmed and defenseless civlians would decide to save his own life. All those responsible for the mass slaughter of civlians in the Bosnian Genocide are cowards and criminals that will need to face justice in order for the region to move forward towards a better future.

"Even though Mladić had two pistols on his person, there was no resistance and he talked with members of the Security Information Agency (BIA) and other institutions in a completely normal and natural manner,"

Oooohhh. What a great man.He only slaughtered thousands of unarmed people.Serbian hipocrisy at its best.
