Brammertz's report will say that Serbia is cooperating and later this year Serbia’s candidature will be announced. This is all BS of the highest order.

Western Europe and the US were eager to bring the south of Europe - especially Greece, Romania, and Bulgaria - into the club as soon as possible to avoid their ending up under Russia's sway. If they closed their eyes to certain deficiencies in the documentation submitted for membership, they are are as guilty as the countries now having problems meeting western standards during a worldwide crisis - which they had very little role in producing. There's no need to go all moralistic about the situation. You're dealing in most cases with countries that were under foreign domination for centuries, hardly the best way to develop economically responsible societies. Maybe there should be a two-class membership option for euro-based economies, maybe there are other ideas, but beating up on countries that are having trouble as it is seems counter-productive, somehow.

Eu integration or not is not really the issue here. The Dutch are right to take a firm stance on this matter. Any war criminal, whatever his/her nationality and wherever they are should be brought to justice, so that whoever in the future even contemplates war should think twice about the consequences.
We are talking peace on earth here. Even if this possibility is a long way from reality, more people should listen to John Lennon's "Imagine" and we wouldn't have a need for the EU, America, people like Brammertz, Mladic, George W Bush and the court in The Hague.
Here follow the lyrics and have fun dreaming.

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

These countries are responsible for their own financial mess because they lived above their means and have no fiscal and tax discipline.
(Joe A, 25 May 2011 12:56) Those countrys thought it was free lunch and those shared credit cards were "free". Just for joining the club and it would take care of the payments even give you free money back and now they feel very stupid. Thats what I tell people read the contract and get your magnifying glass out to read the very small pro quo writing on the bottom ,those EU bankers our one "tricky" dudes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfv3kBzJZgU .

I am Dutch and let me tell you that many Dutch as well as citizens from other EU countries are fed up with the EU and want out as well. Why should taxpayers in Holland, Finland, Germany, etc. bail out these corrupt countries like Greece, Bulgaria, Portugal and soon Spain? Why should we raise our retirement age so that in Greece they can continue to retire at 55?

The Dutch official concluded that he would read carefully and study the next Brammertz report, and decided on Holland's position based on that.

Do Serbia a favour and block EU membership. More Serbians are against EU membership so it is only natural that we don't join. What good has it brought to Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria and others when debt levels have made the citizens slaves?

Most UK citizens would vote to exit the EU, however this government slavishly pushes towards membership. We can negotiate free trade and open borders without joining the EU and handing over our sovereignty. There are beneficial options available to Serbia but EU membership is not one of them.

Once again I stressed the need of Serbia's full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. How will Serbia handle 10s of thousands of Serbian war criminals running around Serbia if it cooperates fully. Why do you think even the war criminals of the so called Srpska aka Grater Serbia run to find shelter and are pensioned for their criminal service by their state employer Serbia. WHO kidding who and now pleading innocence of insanity .
