Mr Dacic we all know Kosovo is lost in 1999 and will be lost forever because Kosovo was never Serbias and never would be but you and the commentators here are free to dream. Keep dreaming it's free.

So Dačić is basically saying that instead of giving away 15% of Serbia to KLA vermin, it should be something like 10%. The man is a thundering disgrace. He has nothing constructive to contribute to the Kosovo issue except to undermine Serbia’s territorial integrity and all the hard work that has been done by Jeremić. There are many models that can be proposed during eminent status negotiations that would give Kosovo Albanians enough autonomy to do whatever the hell they want; but it needs to be within the UN recognised borders of Serbia. Albanians interlopers are not entitled to steal one square inch of Serbian soil and the majority of the world acknowledges this principle.

Demi you have it partly right of course. This move will eventually end in some recognition of Kosovo by Serbia, but the question is which Kosovo.

More correct would be to say that all of this moves us towards a solution in Kosovo. And a solution for Kosovo must be found as much in Pristina (if not more so) than in Belgrade. In other words these statements are not only designed to represent some unofficial policy by Serbia supported by Tadic in the background. They are designed to moderate public opinion in Serbia and among Kosovo Albanians as well. That includes the influence such statements will have on Kosovo Albanian politicians.

This process will not be about Serbia slowly surrendering to the Kosovo Albanian position. Its about setting an example, ceding ground and expecting compromise in return.

I truly look forward to a fair, quick and lasting compromise in Kosovo. Too much time has been wasted whilst the world around moves forward.

BTW your figures for Serbian population in the past 300 years are incorrect. But more importantly you don't appear to understand that the reason that people leave an area is primarily economic, nothing to do with 'caring'.

If you don't understand this and if there isn't a solution to Kosovo soon then you will see more and more Kosovo Albanians migrating to other countries including Albania.

This economic migration is inevitable as night follows day. What Serbia was to Serbians in Kosovo (more developed, more economic opportunity) Albania is increasingly becoming to Kosovo Albanians.

One thing people should know is that Serbia is just testing the water through Dacic because they know that they will have to recognize Kosovo to enter EU. Do people wrelly think that Dacic is a stupid man who speaks against his goverment and the serbian constitution just because he feels so ?? t's not the case but Serbia is going in the direction on recognizing Kosovo and through Dacic is testing how people will react to this. This way if people react radical then Tadic will say that it is Dacic own personal view.

How come Dacic diden't say this things before the Prishtina-Belgrade dialoug ?`The dialoug is an way for Prishtina and Belgrade to get closer to each other so in the end with respect to recognize each other. Nobody belives that Serbia will control Kosovo and that is why Dacic with the blessing of Tadic&co wants to partition Kosovo so they can get N.Kosovo and get rid' of the Kosovo problem. Because Kosovo is just a problem for Serbia since Serbia would not win anything if they got Kosovo. The fairytale of Kosovo being the heart of Serbia is just stupid because how come then only 7 & of the population in Kosovo are serbs ?? For 300 years serbs have been as much as 20-30 % in Kosovo. That sayes alote how much serbs care about Kosovo. Dont tell me that albanians with no army kicked out serbs of Kosovo. How come Serbia dident fight for Kosovo??

Kosovo being the cradle of the serbian nation is just fairytale to occupy Kosovo. Somthing that nobody belives or ever belived. Nobody in Serbia cares about Serbia.

How long has it been since Serbian troops withdrew? 12 years? If they could take all of KiM then they would have by now but since they can't, status is blocked. The "international community" wants this resolved so they can stop flushing much needed funds and resources down the drain.

Serbia holds the key here so the question really is what is the pain threshold of KiM Albanians? Remember, after a few decades Cypriot Turks voted to abandon Turkey and reunite with the Greeks.

Finally he got it; Resolution 1244 is useful to Albanians in Kosovo because it provides the legal basis for keeping the Serbian armed forces out of Kosovo.

We can discuss here all day long if we want if Kosovo is independent, and bla, bla, bla... but regardless of that one thing is clear thanks to 1244; the number of Serb military and police personnel in Kosovo has to be agreed upon.

Why separate? Why not accept your differences and live in peace?

I would not take too much notice of Dacic as this is his way of fulfilling his EU master’s contract. You see Kosovo is a stalemate and the only way to try and move it from the present position is to “talk about reaching some agreement”. He is trying to have a debate on the issue.

I say leave Kosovo as it is and let it rot in no mans land. I’d love to see the EU knuckleheads give non visa travel to Kosovo as it would see their allies leave that paradise of freedom and democracy for greener pastures in the EU.

According to him, it is not enough to say "we are upholding the Constitution and hold some patriotic rally and think this will solve the Kosovo issue".

That to me seem a STRAIGHT TALK although I do not agree with him in separation....exchange of territories....maybe...

Honestly, I hate seeing 2 muslim country in the heart of Europe, but your idea of autonomy for Kosovo within Serbia, is outdated. Dachic is right. If there is no solution found in the next 15 years, you will have nothing left in Kosovo to bargain for. All Serbia can get at this point is symblically exchange few towns, or consentually redraw few borders, and call it a solution, or should I say a fuzzy green light to EU.

What do you have to back that up with? Old maps perhaps? Show me some evidence that you guys have always had Kosovo (recognised borders of Albanians Kosovo) and I will give you that one.

I understand that some compromise has to happen soon so everyone can get on with their lives. Maybe some territories can be given away and under no circumstances can they be called Kosovo. Kosovo remains part of Serbia and whatever is given away must be renamed.
