Com' on so if Serbia get's 7 % of our territory(N.Mitro) Serbia is ready to recognize Kosovo as independent ? What happend to your heart and soul now ??

But anyway it's good to see that ou are getting realistic and notice that you will never get whole of Kosovo. That was just a dream.

btw Tadic just want to come back home with somthing and whatever he can get. This to tell the serbs that they won against the albanians in their historical conflict. Like you won against the ottomans in 1389 ?

Mirel - recognition, that is what Kosovo gets in return. This offers a chance to join the UN and a whole range of other organisations, proceed towards eventual EU accession, play international football, get your own dialling code and internet top level domain, and even participate in Eurovision. But to get all this requires doing a deal with Belgrade. The stark reality is that Serbia has fought this one to a stalemate. Kosovo may not return to Serb control, but neither will it become a full member of the international community. You need to do a deal with Belgrade to get this, and this is their price. Land for recognition. All things considered, it sounds like a very fair deal to me.

But hey, if you would prefer that Kosovo continues to remain in diplomatic limbo for the sake of a slice of territory inhabited by Serbs who do not want to accept Pristina's authority then that is your choice. Good luck sitting on the sidelines of international politics as a perennial spectator.

Hey albos.. UCK was heavily defeated in 1999 in Presevo, then they had same destiny in Macedonia. You can only have dreams about taking another part of Serbia.

The more debate about "division" of Kosova in Serbia goes on ,the better it is. When they accept this"division",they have already accepted Kosova sa Independent State. In the end ,the north Kosova dominated Serb area, will get not one mmillimeter more then autonomy.

So how is the compromise according to serbs?Take North Mitrovica and nothing in return?
How about take North Mitrovica, give Preshevo Valley to albaninans recognise republic of Kosova, stop blocking Kosovo to join UN and leave albanians alone?I think this is better.
Btw USA today was against Kosovo partition.

"Tadić stated that this matter also requires favorable international circumstances and added that wishes of Serbia and Albanians from Kosovo are not the only factors that will determine the outcome of this process, but that the entire international context is important as well. "

Tadic should know very well that he does not have the partition in his pocket.
The idea of partition will throw off every balance in the region. Ahtisaari plan that has guaranteed this stability so far will also be revised and K-Albanians will not be bound to it any longer but might as well request to join Albania. An independent Kosova was the compromise that K-Albanians made in the name of peace and stability, a compromise that was blessed by big powers. Now if Serbia doesn't like it, than the partition proposal will start, from K-Albanians perspective, Kosova joins Albania, then the land swap with Serbia will be on the table.

Serbia is late, very late as usual to make any such proposals. If I were to go back 6 years and bring the comments that has been written in this forum you will find plenty of suggestion for partition that would have been viable at that time. If you got 10-15 years you would find plenty of proposals made to Milosevic to give Albanians autonomy within Yugoslavia etc, etc.

You see, Tadic and its Serbia don't get it that they lost the war. You lose, you cut your loses as fast as you can.

The "outsmart all" and "refuse all" attitude of Mr. Jeremic has only brought Serbia "nothing". Everyday that goes by, K-Albanians become more and more aware of their self identity. What is Tadic and Jeremic expecting? That with time K-Albanians will soften their stance against Serbia, while Serbia maintain the same hostile position?
I mean, isn't this so stupid? I have no intention to insult anyone but I always try to see the reality from the other side of the fence as well and when I do that, I see a blind tunnel that Serbia is directed into.
