Brammertz is disappointed the hague is disappointed but i more disappointed the Hague and its prosecuters prejudical and peverse discourse which has blamed serbs for everything maybe we shot JFK too has become less loathesome to me as it has become boring. the system of the hague runs in a parallel moral universe where its obssessive pursuant of serbs has become narcisstic and perverse whislt ignoring the crimes of the KLA Bosnian miltants and nationalist ic croats and the world knows thats why Bosnia and kosovo you are ont he front page of the papers you are not credible but mafia states the world knows this

To the comment that croats bosnians and albanians can hold there head up high i give just three names of a vey long list GOTOVINA, NASER ORIC and THACI. i think my head is standing a liitle higher.

Bob,
I'm guessing by your name you are sitting somewhere in the US of A, eating your chicken wings, and lapping up all the propoganda that CNN showers on you.
Ever ask yourself why the generals who napalmed Vietnam and killed 1 million civilians, that's right, 1 million civilians, are not in jail as they should be? Did Mladic ever use a poison gas? No. Did Mladic illegaly bomb another country for 78 days around the clock, killing thousands of civilians needlessly based on lies and propoganda? No. Mladic did not go to a foreign country and kill in the name of the almighty dollar, which is what you people do all the time. He simply defended his own land and his own people. Srebrenica, where the women and children were separated and let free, and the men responsible for the war crimes in Bratunace were handed revenge, you call this 'genocide'?? Please, that is an insult the Serbs in Jasenovac who suffered REAL genocide.
Furthermore, why would Mladic go to a fake Kangaroo court, a court that releases war criminals such Nasir Oric? The court is not a real court and has nothing to do with justice, and no Serb should recognize it.
Cheers and enjoy your chicken wings!

Rarely have I read such ill informed and hate fuelled rubbish on this site. Look at the current treatment of Serbs in Kosovo, look at the Albanian KLA treatment of Serbs, look at Operation Storm, look at the way in which Serbs have been murdered for their organs and look at so many other instances of violent behaviour being perpetrated against Serbs, then see if you can still honestly tell me that all other nations in the region can really walk with their heads comparitively high? Just for one moment can I ask you to take a less Serbophobic view and consider the facts of the Balkans recent history. All sides have blood on their hands and all need to move forward and away from the violence of the past. Can I suggest that your kind of blinkered comments only go to prove that some sections of the region are maybe less able to take a pragmatic stance when it comes to looking ahead to a better future for all.
With regards to the article here...I will repeat what I have said so many times before. If all those who criticise Serbia in her efforts to catch 2 outstanding alleged war criminals know so much about where they are and who is protecting them and why they are not being properly searched for, why dont they give this information to the authorities and help arrest them now. Instaed of telling the world how Serbia should be doing more, how about helping Serbia do more with your expert advice? Can I also ask those at the Hague and the EU to apply the same measures of performance to all other countries in the region as is applied to Serbia.

Dear B92, has it occured to you that many reasonable commentators have said adieu to you because you have failed to control extremist like "Roberto", "Lenard", "Kosovo-USA" and many of their clones? They are all nothing but a bunch of Serbia-obsessed "computer warriors" who have way too much time on their hands and whose comments have contributed zero to any reasonable discussion. I think it is time that the B92 management ask itself where its true priorities lie and if it is really willing to enforce its publication policies. Let it be clear that the trash postings are by no means discouraging me. I am just sick and tired to read the same BS day after day while knowing that this could be a forum of positive exchange and understanding. Wise people like our Greek friend Leonidas or Ataman or our Serbian friends in North America actually put effort to challenge each other and their opponents. Please consider this plea for a positive change because without some self-reflection this site's reputation will go down the drain very quickly and you have to ask yourself if that is worth all the effort you have put into it. Good luck and you need it.

What a comment, innocent until proven guilty means a person cannot be punished until they have been convicted in a court of law it is not to be taken literally.
Curious have you not accused Thaci of war crimes??
People are arrested and kept in jail awaiting trial in every country of the world, if you took the meaning literally no one would be in jail until they were convicted.
I agree the trials have taken too long but look at most of the delays. Seselj, Karadzic, and Milosevic have all been notorious for filing numerous court claims causing the process to halt until they are answered.
How many months was Seselj's trial delayed because his Dr's claimed he was too depressed to participate?
but I agree the trials should nto have taken more than a week with the evidence available but then you would have been on here calling the court a lynch mob.

Hey JohnC!

Can you imagine Mladic apprehended and sent to the Hague?

I can see it right now, a 20 year prosecution with no evidence and no verdict.

Milosevic spent 7 years at the Hague and no verdict.

Seselj currently residing and commencing his eighth year and still no verdict.

Karadzic currently residing at the Hague and commencing his third year and still no verdict.

The only denial come from you JohnC! Osama Bin Laden only received a one day trial and Saddam Hussein's trial didn't last very long either.

When a people such the Serbian one says in polls that a proven genocide committer shouldn't be arrested and is seen as a hero, then it isn't much of a surprise that the reputation not only tarnished by this, it also proves that the "stereotypes" of this people are actually no stereotypes, but simple facts. It's much easier to believe in conspiracy theories like it was 'the west' that destroyed Yugoslavia than to admit the own guilt and see that it has been the majority of Serbian population who voted for Milosevic and his sick idea of 'greater Serbia' which ended in a disaster, for all EX-YU countries, and especially for Serbia itself.

Demi, I'm not so sure that Mladic is living in such miserable conditions. For all we know, he might be chilling, friends and family by his side, in a sweet villa somewhere in the Serbian/RS/Montenegrin countryside. Or maybe in a nice penthouse in the center of Moskow.

I'm also not so sure that many Serbs would view Sloba's final days in the way that you think. To them, he died a heroic fight against an extremely biased court backed by Serbia's enemies and was ultimately murdered. I will say that no matter who you are, it's hard to see the manner in which he was returned to Serbia as anyway dignified -- that's a fate that no one wants!

Anyway, these stories about the ICTY prosecutor's reports seem awfully repetitive. B92, tell us when there's something new.

Now only the coming elections matter an thus Serge came with the new instructions. Cause if only Ratko is betrayed the way it used to happen with the others a revolt is guaranteed ! And we all know what country Toma is going to visit first ... So the West works according to the changing situation.

They "punish" Boris as if they have evidence that he is hosting Ratko. They punish the whole country for a man who is possibly dead or abroad. All because they need to punish Serbia for solving the internal problems of the comprador elites and to cover their own incapability to accept Serbia as a part of the Anglo-Saxon community.

There is no political will to find these fugitives. There are those that really do want these (suspected) war criminals to be arrested, but these are few. The government is being stonewalled in its efforts, but can't admit they lost control. The massacre at Srebenica, where 7000 men and boys were slaughtered involved many 10's, if not 100's, of people, all of them possible candidates for The Hague. These are the same people, some of them in very high places, now protecting Mladic and Hadciz.
So for those that like conspiracy theories, the following scenario is a quite likely possibility :
The whole of Europe is afraid that if those two go to Holland the rest of the mob will soon follow, and the whole of Serbian society could crash as a result. So I believe that these two fugitives will be never be (willingly) found. No one wants to open a can of worms, so to speak.
On the other side of the coin one also needs to understand that while these fugitives remain at large, Serbia loses over 1 Billion Euro of investments and aid every single year. Money desperately needed to fuel the economy and create jobs.
So if these two want to be real heroes, I would suggest to them; Do everyone a favour and jump of a bridge.

What exactly is Mladic guilty of?

Tell me Bob, is Mladic as guilty as Milosevic, Seselj and Karadzic?

Don't forget that we are all innocent until proven guilty Bob!

I am sorry to say but it is only fair to present a negative report. You can't resume lying indefinitely. Chief Hague prosecutor must at the end of the day tell the truth that Serbs can but do not want to do the requested demand.

I believe this is crystal clear to every one, and the Serbs know that the inaction on Mladic and Hadgic is very transparent now.

Lets hope Serbia get serious and do the job or else stay isolated

Yes, we are all destructive and evil people, Demi. You Albanians need to show us the way towards the enlightenment your people have attained. How is Albania and the fake state of Kosovo doing?
Give me a break, your comment is one of the most idiotic comments I have ever seen on this site. Victimization is your only attribute as you all have never accomplished anything on your own without lying and crying to greater powers that have their eyes set on strategic goals; your bellyaching only serves their plans.
Every negative report from the Hague Inquisition is a feather in the cap of the Serb people; thank you, Serge.

what else to expect from somebody representing a country desperately in need of attention ? That's all what the Hague is about. A big joke with the purpose to give Holland its moment of glory.

This is the best advertising Brammets could do for Tadic and the team ! The stakes are much higher than the EU membership.

That makes you guilty of the same crimes and taints Serbia with your existence.
This is not a joke issue and it is not a western conspiracy"
(Bob, 19 May 2011 17:44)

It's much easier to believe in conspiracy theories like it was 'the west' that destroyed Yugoslavia than to admit the own guilt and see that it has been the majority of Serbian population who voted for Milosevic and his sick idea of 'greater Serbia' which ended in a disaster, for all EX-YU countries, and especially for Serbia itself.

How about the Nuremberg trials?

To Another Canadian Serb:

If he is not guilty let him face his accusers.

His hiding in holes is somewhat indicative of an inability to mount much of a meaningful defence.

When a people such the Serbian one says in polls that a proven genocide committer shouldn't be arrested and is seen as a hero, then it isn't much of a surprise that the reputation not only tarnished by this, it also proves that the "stereotypes" of this people are actually no stereotypes, but simple facts. That report engraves this just in a written form, once again.

Bob,
I'm guessing by your name you are sitting somewhere in the US of A, eating your chicken wings, and lapping up all the propoganda that CNN showers on you.
