Despite this huge compliance rate compared to others in the region, still people attack Serbia when she tries to get justice for her dead and the institutions accuse her of not meeting her requirements with rgard to membership of european institutions. From an Western perspective, Serbia is the main (nr.1) culprit of ALL wars in the region. Lets analyze:

1. War in Slovenia (with Serbian initiative ex-Yugoslav forces attacked Slovenian for declaring the wish of the nation to be free and independent.

2. War in Croatia, similar to that of Slovenia was initiated because Croats declared their wish to be free and independent. You know how many were killed in Vukovar, Siege of Dubrovnik, Slavonia, last but the most important how many were killed in Knin area when RSK was declared once was ethnically cleansed through torture, killing and forceful expulsion. Killed approx 18,000 Croats and 2,000 Serbs.

3. War in Bosnia was the worst of all. Genocide occurred almost in the middle of Europe. Approx 110,000 killed, only a fraction of it approx 7-8,000 Serbs, and 2,000-3000 Croats. 100,000 Bosnian killed, 10,000s women raped by Serbian military. No further comment needed.

4. War in Kosovo also extremely brutal with incentives to increase killings. Killed approx 15,000 Albanians 1500-2000 Serbs.

While I regret every single killing of innocent civilians the above leave many of us in the West speechless on how we left Serbian forces commit such awful crimes one after the other. We in the West were only spectators.

Than, again - there is no iron-clad proof of that, too. Hence all we can say about 9/11: "no idea, either version is fishy somewhere".

It was most likely well in thousands. Unfortunately either way there is a huge political interest to keep things only fully uncovered. Because foreign powers did bear some guilt and there was a lot under-the-table dealing. IMO this is the main reason Mladic is not caught. Unlike Osama he is a nice S.O.B. who prefers to keep silent - and that's the best solution for American politics. The last what they want is Mladic and Osama singing like canaries. They took care (most likely) about Osama and Mladic knows, how to take care about himself.

See Srebrenica. Unfortunately American politics was close enough to both. I am very skeptic we will ever know the full truth for all these cases, except the Moon landing.

This is pefect ! del Ponte is not afraid of anyone, she has put many persons on every side in prison. I think she will have this post. And by the way, neither Serbia or its province Kosovo decides one bit of this. UNSC does. Period.

And we supposed Serbian moderates are accused of abandoning 'the(ir) cause'. It looks a little to me that this demonising of women makes liberals join with extreme nationalist behaviour. What next, will Dick Marty be 'accused' of being gay because of his report? Perhaps its the 'liberals' that need to return to moderation.

I'm glad I never let my bitterness let me indulge in such hatred as certain nationalists and liberals do.
