If Germany attacked Britain with styrofoam in ww2, Britain would fell in less than a couple of days. Styrofoam is a deadly weapon. Stefan was really and really lucky to have survived the styrofoam attack. Styrofoam should be banned before it causes any more threats!

ataman, you should know that my brother meets a lot of people because of his facebook account. he likes to friend everyone - well, at least the official facebook pages. meeting people is looking at their uploaded photos. talking with them is posting something on their wall. even asking them to join farmville.

yes we try to explain to him the difference between meeting people in person and stalking their facebook wall. but what can you do?

"once again: it is so incredibly difficult to build up stable democratic institutions in such conditions: centuries of ottoman oppression, decades of commie-nism, a truly miserable decade of milosevic's nationalist-socialism, and what has come after. deep frustration inside kosova about the future, the ever-high unemployment, belgrade's determination to keep it isolated and under its heel, and yes, internal corruption, nepotism.
(roberto, 13 May 2011 05:30)

It is. I think the main problem in Kosovo is the Albanian tribal structure: Loyality to the tribe leaders count most, and democracy and usual civil structures comes later. You could see it on the manipulated elections and the fact that Thaci, an alleged crimnal, won again. Kosovo Albanians should understand that they will never become a recognized state conform with general European standards as long as those people are in power.

With 'stupid clown' you must mean Albin Kurti, who is inciting his simple-minded followers to riot and vandalize things over a visit of some politician. Shame on him, yes, and best wishes for the injured KPS policemen and -women who tried to do their job stopping a mob.

Now it's up to you to prove it.

Your words do more damage to your cause than anything else. The worst is, you do not want to listen to anyone. You did not want to be part of the team - with lamest excuses. Not sure what is your agenda here. I have no agenda, Nothing can be proven to few IQ-challenged ultranationalist Albanians not even representing their diaspora or an old, senile Hungarian nazi figure from New York who is very likely a fictive creation of a tongue-in-cheek geek.

Yep, yep, "we", pardon me, "I" know the very friendly, intelligent, bright Albanian diaspora. Open and nice people, proud to represent their nation in the West where they permanently live.

Who follows the way Albanians communicate all over Internet will get a little shocker. There is not much close to that. I just can't imagine, the school system is THAT bad in the area, in particular that some aren't even first-generation immigrants. I am totally lost.

But hey, there you have your buddies like Joe, Hruz, Roberto - all came by, it seem that it's some sort of congress nearby?

--Borko Stefanović first spent a short time in Priština today at the U.S. embassy there, and then proceeded to Laplje Selo, where he was to meet with political representatives of local Serbs.

Meanwhile, the radical ethnic Albanian Self-Determination Movement organized a protest against Stefanović's visit.--

We just saw mr stefanovic in march, up close and personal (prove it!!) and i can assure you, it was not a very pleasant experience. i would say he represents the vuk jeremic (radical) school of thought -- he was very defensive with me (prove it!!)about his anti-kosova rhetoric; didn't blink an eyelah about the issue of mass graves of albanians on serbian soil, or the industrialized mass burnings of albanians in the spring of 99. didn't bat an eyelash, just retorted arrogantly and defensively. so if that's not Radical i don't know what is. but that's why he's so well respected here.

as for the Styrofoam attack, i find it rather funny and appropriate, altho any kind of physical attack can be dangerous. and he was presumably given permission by kosovar authorities to be there.

then there is the throwing of stones, paint... i understand the frustration, but it's not my way; i choose to do battle (if necessary) with words, and about ideas. that's my way.

but again, stefanovic and his not so highly esteemed colleagues continue, day in and day out, to try to spread as much misery to their neighbors (read: bosnia and kosova)as possible, and some of those neighbor's citizens are sick of it. you can call them "ethnic albanian radicals" or freedom fighters, but they have interesting ways of actualizing their principles.

once again: it is so incredibly difficult to build up stable democratic institutions in such conditions: centuries of ottoman oppression, decades of commie-nism, a truly miserable decade of milosevic's nationalist-socialism, and what has come after. deep frustration inside kosova about the future, the ever-high unemployment, belgrade's determination to keep it isolated and under its heel, and yes, internal corruption, nepotism. the role of the US visa vis its ambassador, it's all problematic. so throwing stones and paint can seem pretty attractive, but what exactly will it solve?

so yes, i have my differences w/ our frnd (prove it!!!)albin kurti and his party, but according to my kosovar alb. frnds, he is one of the kosovar politicians with personal integrity.

it's not that i buy into the libelous fabrications of the marty SMEAR report (3x per day in the milosevic press), but corruption and nepotism are all too widespread among politicians, in kosova and throughout the balkans. though no one can touch that evil piece do-dik...

great! once again the international audience has had the opportunity to see how mature and peace-loving the k-albanian regime is! it could have been easy to control and prevent some stupid hooligans from attacking an official convoy, but the socalled "government of Kosovaaah" let it happen!

and that´s quite good, seen from the viewpoint of a serb supporter.

while our dear k-albanian friends cannot but show their aggressiveness, the Serbs are these days showing off european values, not only with a superbly playing Novak Djokovic but also with a young girl presenting Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Germany.

the world is watching, and slowly but surely they do see the differences between albanian aggression and serbian success. and that is quite good, indeed.

pre 12 godina

I'm laughing hysterically at how the Albanians try to portray the visit as a "State Visit". Stefanovic himself stated that it was and informal/private visit that had nothing to do with recognizing the Unilateral Declaration of Indepedence. Serbia will never recognize the UDI, get it through your heads. Serbia has Kosovo right where it wants it, "Less than Indepedence, More than Autonomy". Kosovo Albanians completely rule themselves and Serbia has no influence over them, but when it comes to "Kosovo" actually trying to act like a State, they fail to do so. Serbia does not allow them to attend any international meeting or join any international organization without it's blessing. The fact that Serbia controls if "Kosovo" enters an international organization demonstrates that Serbia has Sovereignty over the province. Serbia has the Albanians right where it wants them! Serbia doesn't control them and they Albanians run their own affairs (which is what Serbia proposed in the status talks), but when it comes to sovereignty....Serbia holds it.Do the Albanians really honestly think that they will ever become a full fledged country? "Kosovo" will never become a EU or UN member. The EU has admitted itself that due to the opposition of Spain, Greece, Romania, Slovakia, and Cyprus, "Kosovo" can not even start accesion talks... so I would forget about Visa free travel my friends! I think that the only way "Kosovo" will be able to join the EU or even start the accesion talks for that matter is to be viewed at Kosovo(UNSCR 1244). That is the only solution! Serbia along with the 5 EU countries will never allow "Kosovo" to start accesion talks as a Sovereign State, because it isn't one! "Kosovo" will also never join the UN due to Russian and Chinese opposition by them to the UDI, which is almost as equally strong as Serbia's. There is no room for negotiation on "Kosovo" entering the UN, because it is reserved only for sovereign states. "Kosovo" is no Sovereign State and is probably most closely compared to Scotland. "Kosovo" and Scotland both run their own local affairs, have their own parliments, goverment, budgets, and laws but at the end of the day neither of them are legitimae states and Serbia and Britain have sovereignty over them. Kosovo is very much still a part of Serbia and it will remain that way as long as Serbia does not recognize the UDI, which is unlikely to oever happen. "Kosovo" will start to become isolated when the entire Balkans is in the EU/UN and they are not. They will be a blackhole with no foreign investment, no economic growth, major unemployment, and extreme poverty. The Albanians in "Kosovo" will soon come to their senses and realize that it's either their dream of becoming an indepedent state which will never materialize or prosperity and self autonomy within Serbia. Im sure that when it comes to either having a job and normal life or a far-fetched dream that blocks prosperity, the Albanians will choose the first. It will just take time for them to realize that they are all alone and will remaiini that way until they come back to tthe negotiating tabel to negotiate a deal on it's status with Serbia. A new generation of Albanians is being born in "Kosovo" and I'm sure that they are not going to choose isolation over prosperity and and a bright future.I am just stating the facts! As long as Serbia does not recognize the UDI by the temporary institutions in Pristina, the UDI will never be legitimate. "Kosovo" will not be able to join any international organization or act as a legitimate sovereign state in the international community. "Kosovo" is going to be cornered when its people start asking when they will be joining the EU, becasue they won't be able to unless they come to an agreement with Serbia. No EU means isolation, poverty, and economic hardship. And please don't try saying that Serbia and the 5 EU countries will recognize "Kosovo" soon, because you and I both know that it's not going to happen anytime soon at all. "Kosovo" will be in a tight position very soon, everything seems like fun and games now, but when reality hits home it won't be so fun. So please "Kosovo" supporters enlighten me and explain to me how "Kosovo" would possibly be able to join the EU and prosper while there is opposition from 5 countries in the Union. Please explain to me, because I would love to hear your anwser. I'll give you my anwser. The Ksoovo Albanians will have to negotiate a deal with Serbia over status, plain and simple.

I noticed in your comments before that you do nothing else then repeating over and over again what others have been repeating for decades, without ever thinking for yourselve, but this shows that you'll probably never learn. For me, again, it is a shock to realise such people exist. I sincerely hope that you are no older than 15 years of age. Albin Kurti, the leader of the "Self-Determination" who has been illegaly held hostage in Serb prisons for years by the Serb government, (where he was tortured, beaten, deprived of food and water in revenge for NATO bombing) knows what Serbia is capable of, unfortunately better than Serbs know themselves.

Thus the response!

Good job Albin!

Did not rate, but here is the explanation. "KPS" was the name used by UNMIK, an authority recognized by Serbia. "KP" is the new name since UDI. Calling "KPS" the new way would mean, B92 would indirectly recognize the new authority. B92 is in Belgrade and they may not, cannot and most likely do not want.

We just saw mr stefanovic in march, up close and personal (prove it!!) and i can assure you, it was not a very pleasant experience.

"We", the king? Not "we", at best "I". But I do don't believe you. Are you working for Blic? That interview was with Blic. And if you are such an important person who would be granted time with Mr. Stefanovic - you won't post your comments here.

Now it's up to you to prove it.

so yes, i have my differences w/ our frnd (prove it!!!)albin kurti and his party, but according to my kosovar alb. frnds, he is one of the kosovar politicians with personal integrity.

Congratulations to know Albin Kurti in person. I know the Pope, Dalai Lama and Queen in person. Yesterday I dined with Putin. Prove your words. But even if you know Obama in person that won't make you a lesser loser.

----

as for the Styrofoam attack, i find it rather funny and appropriate, altho any kind of physical attack can be dangerous. and he was presumably given permission by kosovar authorities to be there.

then there is the throwing of stones, paint... i understand the frustration, but it's not my way; i choose to do battle (if necessary) with words, and about ideas. that's my way.

Your words do more damage to your cause than anything else. The worst is, you do not want to listen to anyone. You did not want to be part of the team - with lamest excuses. Not sure what is your agenda here. I have no agenda, Nothing can be proven to few IQ-challenged ultranationalist Albanians not even representing their diaspora or an old, senile Hungarian nazi figure from New York who is very likely a fictive creation of a tongue-in-cheek geek.

thanks. sometimes it seems that a little Glasnost is seeping thru the pages of this media. other times its like pravda, 1970 :)

No, it's just a depressing place where everyone listens to himself only. Waste of time, a lot of time.

ataman, you should know that my brother meets a lot of people because of his facebook account. he likes to friend everyone - well, at least the official facebook pages. meeting people is looking at their uploaded photos. talking with them is posting something on their wall. even asking them to join farmville.

yes we try to explain to him the difference between meeting people in person and stalking their facebook wall. but what can you do?

And then what? After a cup of coffee, chat and a good onya mate everyone goes home.

Kosovo Albanians should understand that they will never become a recognized state conform with general European standards as long as those people are in power.

this is just k albanians telling their leaders "hey expect this times 10 should you make any changes" only problem is their leaders dont have much say so it was more a show to the EU envoys(their real leaders)then anyone else. The EU has a real problem..picked the wrong side and the right side isnt letting it go..so EU needs to admit its bad judgement or continue this farse..I think the farse continues..too bad !!

"Over 20 people tonight will be spending the night in hospitals to be treated from light to heavy injuries because of this stupid clown.

With 'stupid clown' you must mean Albin Kurti, who is inciting his simple-minded followers to riot and vandalize things over a visit of some politician. Shame on him, yes, and best wishes for the injured KPS policemen and -women who tried to do their job stopping a mob.
