A smart move by Dodik. He's keeping the pigs in Brussels sweating. It also provides more leverage for Belgrade against further pressure from Brussels.

It is curious is it not that the west who created the Frankenstein in Bosnia by keeping the war rolling for two and a half years have decided that it is too expensive to keep. The idiots think it can make Bosnia financially viable by folding the RS in and centralizing, thus reducing the ridiculous number of ministries and massive goverment. There is a small problem with this. The vast majority of the cost is because of the Bosnian Moslem authorities that are paying off various of their own factions to stay in power, much in the same way that in Italy many civil servants are only notional civil servants and do not have an offie or perform any state function. The other little problem with the BM's is the very, very generous pensions that they give to their hundreds of thousands of 'war veterans', that include boot polishers, cooks, 2nd line pesonnel etc. regardless of their physical ability. This is a massive drain on the State budget, yet Brussels is not demanding Sarajevo to cut back despite recieving billions of euros in subsidies (the RS has recieved almost nothing by comparison). Could it be because they are afraid that all these military trained men could upset the delicate political balance? In effect they are holding Brussels to ransom by threatening war, just like the Kosovo Albanians are. Brussels, spinless and clueless as ever and all of their own making! Now where's my bacon sandwich?

Just as I expected. When it comes rough, this troll dodges away. Of course, his cheer leaders will find always euphemistic words for failure, but in fact the stupidity to think that Dodik can go anywhere with this but to fool the voters is remarkable.

And the point of all this is? Why is Dodik engaged in political circus while people are out of jobs and looking to make ends meet every day of the week. It's completely ridiculous that this man buys cars for hundreds of thousands of dollars and has taken millions for himself and his family while doing everything he can to keep the rest of the people poor and powerless. It's time for the EU and US to step in and do everything in their power to help the Bosnian voters get rid themselves of this cleptomanic group of politicians whose only goeal in life seems to be sponging off people that are scraping by at the bottom of barrel. Dodik is a criminal and it's time for him to go!

AS I predicted! Mr Dodik realizes he will always have more power if RS is a part of Bosnia instead of being independent. Mr Dodik is toying with Bosnian Serbs in RS like pawns in a chess game. He has lost all credibility with this postponement. Serbs in RS should vote him out, because he can not back his talk with action.

More or less off topic:

But isn't it time that Bosnia will govern itself? How can Bosnia ever think about joining EU while being governed by EU?

The Serb Republic is holding a Legal Referendum to ask their Citizens if they want to be Governed by Democratically Elected Representatives, or Dictated to by a Foreign Imperial Viceroy or Colonial Governor.

This Referendum is a Perfectly Legal and Highly Democratic Referendum that has nothing to do with Succession from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is not like the Serbian Province of Kosovo that is not a Country in its own Right, and therefore has no Right to succeed from Serbia unless it has the permission of the majority of the Serbian Voters.

Those Countries that call themselves the International Community, and who Lecture others on Democracy want their Appointee to Govern the People of the Serb Republic by Decree, rather than having them Governed by the Democratically Elected Honourable representatives of the Serb Republic.

The High Representative Valentin Inzko, has threatened to dismiss the President of the Serb Republic, the Honourable Milorad Dodik, if he insists on asking his fellow Citizens if they want to be Dictated to by the Decrees of a Foreigner, or if they wish to be Governed by their own Representatives, that they themselves have Democratically Elected.

The Honourable President of the Serb Republic, Milorad Dodik is asking his fellow Citizens this question by means of a Legally Valid and Highly Democratic Referendum.

The Honourable Milorad Dodik may in the future find it necessary to proceed with the Referendum that is motivated his and his fellow Citizens Commitment to Proper Democratic Principles.

The Honourable Milorad Dodik would proceed with Legally Valid and Highly Democratic Referendum, even if it means loosing his Duly Elected Presidency, because of the Decree of the Appointed Valentin Inzko.

There are many Citizens of the European Union who admire Honest Politicians, who put Proper Principles before their own Enrichment and Careers.

The Honourable President of the Serb Republic has offered to Compromise by Postponing the Legal and Democratic Referendum, and it is beholden on others to reciprocate by showing goodwill.

There are those who think that are could be suggestions of giving up on Proper Principles, but they need to be reminded that there are several Principles in this entire Affair regarding the recent History of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

All of these Principles are Worthy, and it is difficult to collectively prioritize any them in strict order of Merit, because everyone has their own Opinions.

However, the Democratically Elected Honourable Representatives of the Serb Republic are willing to show their Reasonableness by Postponing the Legal and Democratic Referendum, in order to facilitate further Debate on the Matter with their Democratic European Partners.

We, the people of the Serb Republic, whose National Borders are defined by the United Nations Charter and by International Law, are committed to Democratic Principles.

The Serb Republic, will be a True Democracy; it will have 100% Public Funding for Elections; it will have no military alliances; it will be 100% against racism; it will have no genetically modified crops; it will plant many trees; and it will have 100% recycling.

I did not expect this. But it is fine with me. Hope there will be a solution for this issue. And not only this issue but or Bosnia as a whole.
Bosnia is dysfunctional as it is now. Keep Dayton as the basis. But make some changes.

Problem is: all three sides want change in a very different direction.

My proposal:

- Create a Croat entity
- More power to the regions
- A confederation on top

More ore less: let the regions do what the regions can do best. But to some things at the national level.

Like in Belgium. But even that rich, democratic country is slowly fallin apart. And without a government for almost a year now...

The western administration is filled with very stupid players and here is an excellent example. One man has made then bend to what he wants and now they will give everything he demands – well done Milorad Dodik, well done. One Serb is worth a thousand western windbags.
Brussels will sell out their own mothers just to keep Dodik from going to a referendum. Oh, for anyone that thinks that the supposed EU sanctions of freezing assets and moneys was actually going to work, don’t. It was one of their weakest threats ever because there was nothing to freeze and if they then decided to withhold aid to RS then the real referendum was back on the cards where the people would be asked whether they stay or leave BiH. You don’t have to be Einstein to guess the answer.
Congratulations Milorad, Srpski sin. Keep up the good work especially now that they know you mean business. You can get what you like and once you have squeezed every last Euro out of the geniuses in Brussels then call the final referendum and put BiH out of its misery once and for all.
Brussels will have to get someone better than that Austrian goat herder to out whit the Serbs, I have not stopped laughing since I heard about this today.
