Just keep the Albanians entertained and their minds away from their real problems of horrendous poverty, but they do live in democracy and freedom – I wonder how well those ingredients go in a stew? Crunchy or is it light as air?

If they want to tackle crime there they need to work with the Serbian police not the ones from the illegal state of 'kosova'. EULEX are on very dangerous ground, I suspect they know this and will try and get any Serbs working for KPS (if there are any)to do this so. I would have thought they wouldn't have time to go to the North when there is so much crime in 'kosova' why not arrest Thaci et al for organ trafficking and war crimes? This is just political of course.

Seems strange to me that EULEX are not concentrating on the organised crime in the South.... there at least you know who the criminals are....

The daily stated that the KPS "is introducing certain changes in its chain of command in northern Kosovo, and noted that the process is expected to conclude within several days ahead of the beginning of a operation against several points of organized crime".

It would make more sense to start operation against organized crime and corruption where it's present most - i.e. Pristina.

How many more times are we going to read about the albs taking over the north? Why don't they do it already? This is nothing more then an attempt to satisfy the alb dominant south. A few albanians controling a majority Serb population? Good luck!

The Serbian criminals in the north are not giving the "snake" in the south his cut of the booty so naturally the "snake" needs to establish control in the underworld since he has no abilities, skills or talent to contribute anything positive in the upper world.

To all Albanian that think this is a “backdoor” way of recognising an independent Kosovo.

The official list of countries in crises as at 1 May 2011 has been published and they are Iceland, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, UK and US of A.

It has taken a long time to add the last two because the west was hell bent on keeping this quiet and hoping a miracle would occur and at least the US would be saved.

Have a good long hard look at Bosnia and RS and you just might get the right message. The west and its huffing and puffing, but the west is unable to do anything except try and negotiate, but if the Albanians have any spare cash please send it to Barak Obama via the White House, Washington DC – please no IOUs just cash.

All the steps taken so far by Belgrade towards Pristina revolvesaround reintegration.

When did "integrating the north" become a euphemism for "crying wolf"? Clean up Pristina before you look towards Mitrovica.
