If Serbia does not become an eu "candidate" by the end of this year, tadic and the ds are history. Good riddance.

1. Arrest the national heros and turn them over.
2. Make the UDI of Kosovo uncontested.

You choose which, but I am betting your govt will choose one or the other by the end of the year.

I can't really blame Serbs for thinking this way. The asymmetrical interdependence the EU exhibited towards other Eastern European countries ("You need us more than we need you. But to show our benevolence I'm going to risk my secure economic markets and let you peasants in") has largely dried up. That Serbia has diversified its economic portfolio over the past few years with BRIC is also a good explanation. The EU no longer is the light at the end of the tunnel, particularly now with Greece, Ireland, Portugal, and maybe even Spain and Italy feeling the pain.

You really think Serbia is going to control any portion of the Russian economy by holding their oil hostage to gain anything from Europe????????????
Russia owns 51% of your energy sector, which means "THEY" control every decision from how much, how little, what price and what percentage Serbia will take of the profits.

I'd be more curious as too how much is undecided and how much is against.

Until the day does against is greater then those for, it will still mean that technically if there were a vote held a large majority would be for the EU.

Example, 57% for, 33% against, 10% undecided. Do the math 57/.9= some 63% could be expected to vote for the EU in a vote.

Not really surprising. Belgrade is promising much on a daily base, but in fact that are lies. Serbia is not going anywhere and will be only interesting for those who find Bulgaria and Romania to expensive.

EU for countries such as Serbia is closed. Whether your support or reject it by 100%. The people in the West could not care less.

wtf - what a surprise to see you posting today, NOT. I suppose you will deny you posted under another monicker to attack me.

And I suppose it just a coincidence that you advise to Go East - another one of your various posting identities. Troll.

Hows the multiple voting going on here? I really think your comment is worth 3 figures, go for it!

It took this long for serbs to realize that €U is what Germany was to Serbia in WW2. Anschluss für untermenschen, stick and mace.

Pick yourself and your pride up now and go east, where your friends are....

The actual figures are worse but even these do not paint a happy picture. The simple explanation for the decline is that the people are starting to realize that there is no pot of gold at the end of the EU rainbow. In future the figures will drop even further.
