--“Brankica (Stanković) has been moved to a secret location outside Belgrade for safety reasons, we did our work through emails, Skype, phone… A half of the team practically joined her at the secret location at one point. Despite of it all we are satisfied with the storm that Kolubara series caused in the public,” she pointed out.

“Satisfaction is not complete because a response from the official institutions is missing. Nobody has reacted so far, Insajder will therefore continue dealing with the issue and asking awkward questions because it is in the interest of all citizens,” Tanja Janković said.--

In no way am i congratulating b-92 or the serbian media, which is a disgrace! i am sending my best to Brankica and her colleagues, who have had to go into friggin hiding to stay safe from the criminal elements there -- to stay alive inside modern-day serbia. that is the atmosphere for independent journalists of integrity, like her. welcome to putin-russia (wannabe).

the press in blgd is pathetic, it is (as the ass. of journalists there just wrote) default to nationalism and subject to hysteria, esp.ly against minorities (Marty SEAR report, 3 x a day!!) near total marginalization of dissidents, attacks on minorities, journalists on their knees, selling their souls (that's assuming they have them) -- we're supposed to congratulate that? are you frigging kidding? it's just ignorance, a very willing ignorance.

when we were just in blgd (PROVE it!!) after we (I) had my say, the "journalists" scattered in quiet terror. language barrier? a lack of clarity? i don't think so.

so what was the problem? oh, we are "dangerous." we were seen in the company of an albanian irre-dentist (whatever the hell that means.) we were publicly denounced by one of yr beloved milosevic journalists (probably not from b-92) who had spied me in Preseva with Orhan Rexhepi. yes, i spoke with him and interviewed him, shock! i didn't realize we were still living under commie-nism?

so despite this incredible new report we have on war crimes in 1999, not ONE "journalist" there approached us, and my pal's serbian journalist friend (so called) suddenly had a sick headache.

hey, who can blame them, him? who wants to end up with a bullet in the head, when you can continue yr nice, safe, decently-paying job, so long as you churn out all their crap, never-ending propaganda, and do their evil bidding.

and hey, you can even (sometimes) publish dissidents like myself, or the great sonia biserko (once in 3 yeARs) and feel somehow less guilty: oh, we print all sides. please!

Brankica and her colleagues deserve our highest respect; but yr media deserves a giant slap. wake up, "journalists"!

"The award for excellence in investigative reporting is awarded every year by the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) and the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade."

Soros & Co awarding themselves. It´s like FOX giving award to CNN for "free media", NOT so independent indeed...
