However, when Erdogan arrived for another rally in the nearby city of Amasya, he appeared to blame separatists.
"These vile hands, these dark minds that do not believe in democratic struggle, these terrorists, these separatist forces that know they cannot win at the ballot think they will reach their ends through such attacks,"

The PKK is a separatist and a terrorist organization only because Erdogan say so."What ever happened to one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter".
The truth is that since its political inception in the 1920s, Turkey has always been an authoritarian state, at times more brutal in suppressing dissent and dealing with the Kurds who have really suffered massacre and genocide from the Turkish authorities.

Erdogan's ten year tenure in office has done nothing to abolish the police state apparatus in Turkey.Instead Erdogan has been rather successful in his attempts to convert the nature of the Turkish political discourse into an islamic one.

There is nothing more sinister than "the State" requiring the criminalisation of dissent to protect itself (Kurds)- and that includes not just "slander" but also its symbols (i.e. flag, national anthem, etc). Turkey, that can charge you with "Slandering the state" or "Insulting Turkish Identity" is not a free state.

Time is with the 20 million+ Kurds mr Erdogan and not with Turkey.
