Kosovo has NOT been recognised by the EU, the UN or any international organisation.

And NEVER will be... for the simple reason that EU, UN or any international organisation can't recognize. Only states do (or do not) recognize states

They must be among the 18,000 Yugo. army troops that deserted, including many officers, during the war in 1999 in Kosova.

Serbia can continue to drag its heals whilst appearing to be compliant.
However the Kosovo albanians do not have the luxury of waiting for Serbia to be pressured into changing its position.

Kosovo has NOT been recognised by the EU, the UN or any international organisation.
It has an extremely unstable and corrupt government that is run by former criminals, gangsters and accused war criminals.
It also has a terrible history in regards to treatment of its ethnic minorities and basic human rights which has created a partition in the province.
This instability and uncertainty has destroyed any chance for foreign investment.
Kosovo has an unemployment rate of over 50% (63.6% for women while 40.8% for men)
Its economy relies on foreign aid and humanitarian assistance from the EU.
Its biggest supplier and importer is Serbia (Which is a great boost for the Serbian economy)
Its biggest export is scrap metal (If you don’t include drugs and human organs)
Kosovo is in economic ruin!
Please tell me, what future does Kosovo possibly have?

It is very easy for the rich and corrupt Albanian politicians and the Diaspora to make defiant nationalistic declarations and demands. But the reality for the local population is very different.

The albanians have a choice.
Continue to live in poverty and isolation, or choose to move forward and improve your life and standard or living.
The only way of achieving this through status negotiations with Serbia.

I’m personally against status negotiations as i would much rather see the K-albanians kept isolated from the rest of the civilised world.

--If the Constitution doesn't allow serbs to make compromise, than as I have said before those talks are doomed to fail. What is the possible compromise for the custom seals for instance, because is either you accept the Kosovo seals or not.
Or the diplomas from University of Prishtina.Or the Kosova's passports. There is no room for compromise,is either you will accept as they are issued or not.
Sorry but before you came in Brussels, you guys should change the preamble of Constitution.

Thanks, Mirel, i quite appreciate your very direct style, not to mention substance. but then, they are always telling me, "go to your albanian brothers!" (presumably meaning brothers and sistahs). and i do appreciate our albanian colleagues, with some pleasure. Keep it up, sis. felamendarit.

I live in Kosova, and K-Alb. are majority(over 93%), therefore I don't care to be ruled by anybody else, since a samll minority cannot rule majority. If you don't like it, move where majority Serbs live.
(Agim Kelmendi, 3 May 2011 21:44)

You live in a province of Serbia and you are 17% minority in Serbia. Minority of Albanians in Serbia cannot rule the majority and decide on the state borders. If you dont't like it, move where majority Albanians live. To Republic of Albania, your national state.

Since a partition of Kosova is not a solution, according to Bogdanovic, which one is a good solution?
I don't know any albanian who wants to live under serbian umbrella, serve in serbian military or fight for Serbia.Predident Tadic said that and everyone who has IQ more than 50 knows it.
Either Bogdanovic is laughing at us,or he is really mentally challenged.

Notice all discussions are geared toward marking the difference between the north and the rest of Kosovo. The Serbian approach seems to be try to salvage something. Some deal on the north is all Serbia can hope for and that is the only chance Serbia has to come out with something to say "we won".
Success or not, it is too early to predict, but it is for sure that Kosovo is lost forever.

There is nothing burdening for the Albanians since their defend their freedom. But we understand that it burdens you that you start to realize that you will achieve nothing. In the contrary, the door to the EU closes more and more and your own government gets more unstable. Albanians have nothing to do other than to wait until you fall and that comes faster than you might expect, because the majority of Serbia doesn't want to be held hostage for a single (and solved) matter.

Agim Kelmendi

The burden is on the Albanians bc their allies gave up E.Europe for Middle Eastern interests and bc RUS has the green light to blackmail the Albanian narco-terrorist regime in Pristina with organ-trafficking convictions via the UN unless they re-integrate KiM with Serbia and transform themselves into responsible politicians.

It is really laughable to think that Bogdanovic thinks that the rest of the civilized world will realize that since Serbia says no and US, Germany etc will change their stance. Ad far as US changing their stance in eastern Europe please see today's news about US and Romania agreeing to install the missile defense system. Serbia has only two choices 1) Recognise Kosovo 2) talk partition along ethnic lines and risk to losse Presevo Valley along with Sandjak and maybe Vojvodina. So in some time the choice will be theirs and so the ball is in their court.
