Hooligan in attempted policeman murder case to be freed

A hooligan found guilty of attempting to murder a police officer at a stadium in Belgrade and sent to jail for ten years could be free as soon as this summer.

It certainly sounds like it was attempted murder. What did he think was going to happen if he shoved that lit flare in his mouth?
I am so disappointed with Serbian judiciary after reading this. It seems to be copying our own here in Australia and this one is a laughing stock.
We just heard a man has been jailed for the third time for murder. How on earth does he get out after the first murder, let alone a second in order to kill one more time?
What sort of a system allows this to happen? It looks like in order to be "civilized" these days and up to EU and the rest of the west standards you must be very lenient on criminals, especially murderers or attempted murderers.
Shame on Serbia. Get away from EU system as fast as you can or your country will become a lawless society. We have to live with the ridiculous sentences and early releases over her. Do you want the same?

This young gentleman shouldn't be spending any time in jail at all...rather he should be taken out to a nice field and filled with as many bullets as possible :)
