Oki do asked:
"Can i ask when is last time you been to Kosovo since you own it?"
==================================

I never said I own it. Serbia does. I haven't been to Perth either but I will declare that Perth belongs to Australia. So your argument here is stupid.
As far as your Serbian room mate is concerned, that is his/her opinion and they are entitled to it but it doesn't make it true.
I keep asking this all the time but there is not one person out there who has actually provided an answer. I wonder why.
The question is this.

Show us some proof that Albanians were legal owners or Kosovo before Serbs settled in that area. What points to that? Where are the artifacts, maps etc, anything that points in that direction?

When Serbs settled there, was there a resistance a war an argument, anything like that? If Serbs invaded, did they come with an army to cleanse the Albanians out and did Albanians defend Kosovo?
I haven't read about any of this anywhere. So when Serbs settled, were they settlers or soldiers?
If Serbs came to vacant land, (show me proof if this is not true) how did they get rid of Albanians and take over?

Peggy

pre 13 godina

miri, what a ridiculous argument you have. You have absolutely no proof that Albanians ever owned the land called Kosovo. You have nothing to show that you were ever on that land in any significant numbers. Serbs, however, have plenty of proof of their existence there and in strong enough numbers to be able to be the rightful owners.
Please, I would love you to provide some proof here.
Serbs settled on that land which was vacant. How could the Serbs settle on a land which was already inhabited by someone else? Was there a war and Serbs cleansed you out and took your land? If there was, please provide some evidence.
What happened? Where were you when Serbs were settling there? Was there a shepherd or two scattered in those mountains and this proves your ownership?

Please do explain all this to us. What exactly happened during Serbian settlement there?

miri

pre 13 godina

Yes, just look around Kosovo and you will see all the beautiful examples of Serbia's ownership of Kosovo.
What did you father leave to you? Anything concrete or just a bunch of myths about Illyria?
(Peggy, 28 April 2011 23:08)

Oki do pretty much summarized what the answer to your question is.

I believe you or your parents own a home. Did you built it yourselves? If not, is the previous owner claiming ownership on the premises that he built the house that later sold it to you?
If you built the house yourselves, do you also claim ownership on the entire neighborhood just because that neighborhood has a house in it that your parents built?

I am not going to go into the ridiculous argument who was there first so let's make it simple. No-one is taking your churches away, they are still property of Serbian church. As for the rest, Serbs sold everything else to K-Albanians and then moved out of the region. I guess later they changed their mind and thought they could take it all back by cannons because they had some churches laying around here and there. If you Serbs of diaspora are serous about Kosova, why don't you buy it back?
In today's world, everything has a prize. How about you Peggy start buying property in Pristina, I'm sure for the right prize you can buy it all back instead of spewing b.s how some churches consist of ownership.
Vatican has built and owns churches all around the world.

Serbia is a small, unimportant and a poor country and as is usually the case, it tries to bully the one that are smaller, poorer that itself.

By the way you can keep your churches that your ancestors left you, I keep the house that my father left me, that either built it himself or bought it from a Serb.

Trust me, thats not true, A Serb doesnt have to be a nationalist to protest Kosovo's indepence (If someone protested the Iraqi war, does that make him an Iraqi Nationalist?) One doesnt even have to be Serbian to oppose Kosovo's indepence (see: Myself), Those in Serbia who think they should let Kosovo go have no morals, and care only about money.

(ben, 28 April 2011 11:46)

Isn't it more like exactly that would qualify someone for working in Kosovo - enough experience with those things? A person from Austria, for example, on the other hand, has no idea how to deal with corrupt ministers who prefer to spend public money by giving projects to companies belonging to some of their clan members, how to deal with perties who think manipulating elections is the way to become prime minister, and so on, and so on...

Urlike Lunacek is very good politician, very well informed about the politics and history of the region.

She is coming from a genuine democratic state which is not in political conflict with Kosova- as it has recognized her independence.

I am against any appointments in EULEX (or any other EU mission) even in low levels of an EU personnel form the countries that have not recognized Kosova.

Their political position with regards to Kosova and the region is destructive thus they cannot be part (and moreover have leading positions) of a constructive missions such as EULEX. Beside they would come from countries that are economical misery, with very weak judiciary, high corruption and high levels of the organised crime (with exception of Spain) - so what positive experience they could bring???

Leave fathers and mothers out next time !!!

Did you father leave it to you in his will?

No, I got it from your mother.

Yes, just look around Kosovo and you will see all the beautiful examples of Serbia's ownership of Kosovo.
What did you father leave to you? Anything concrete or just a bunch of myths about Illyria?

good point.

But I argue that if they were good they would have had better society for themselves and then perhaps help others. So, in meantime they have a lot of homework to do (and the word home stands there for a good purpose) :)

This might actually be a good thing, as the woman in question has stated in the past that those who manipulated the elections need to be held responsinble http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2011&mm=01&dd=11&nav_id=72057 Bad for Thaci normally means good for humanity in general

"Beside they would come from countries that are economical misery, with very weak judiciary, high corruption and high levels of the organised crime (with exception of Spain) - so what positive experience they could bring???"
(ben, 28 April 2011 11:46)

Isn't it more like exactly that would qualify someone for working in Kosovo - enough experience with those things? A person from Austria, for example, on the other hand, has no idea how to deal with corrupt ministers who prefer to spend public money by giving projects to companies belonging to some of their clan members, how to deal with perties who think manipulating elections is the way to become prime minister, and so on, and so on...

miri, what a ridiculous argument you have.

Oki do asked:
"Can i ask when is last time you been to Kosovo since you own it?"
==================================

I don't think we need this kind of primitive post here, do we b92?

Dear B92,

Please keep this comment for a thousand years or make it the last one you delete when the day comes. It is literally priceless! From lower-case 'ben' no less, head of the Pristina space program!
