to john c:

don´t be stupid John, "the longer it takes, the..." you know that kind of nonsense.

do you fear something to be unveiled that wouldn´t suit you?

the kind of accusations is so grave and serious that this must not be done too quick and without securing that nothing is withhold or gets manipulated, and the seriousness of the accusations is also relevant for the status-question at all, even if the k-albanians will not admit it and just reitarete their usual "done deal" or "status question closed"...

unfortunately we have seen that K-albanians who were willing to testify, were all killed, before they did so.

that all is of course only a stupid coincidence, right? I don´t think so. and I think that exactly that is the reason why THIS time there is some body needed that is capable of protecting those Albanians who are willing to say the truth.

but with comments like yours, you are only displaying k-albanian nervousness and fear.

I hope you got my point.

The first allegations didnt even come from Serbia, they came from an American journalist, They were investigated by the UN, all without Serbia's knowledge, and the results turned up positive. And when Serbia says independent investigators, she doesnt mean Russian/Chinese ones ect. She wants them from states who dont have an active interest in the province, for the majority of the EU states its in their interests that the organ trafficking isnt true, which is why EULEX is unfit to investigate.
(New Zealander, 29 April 2011 02:15)
The problem with living within the UN system is you have to trust the system. You want the UN to investigate but you do not want the "UN" to investigate. What is the difference in EULEX and representatives from the EU, or what is the difference in UN judges and prosecutors from the ICTY and the appointment of a new set of UN judges and prosecutors.
It is obvious that it is only in the interest of Serbia to delay any investigation so as to keep it in the spotlight. Should an investigation come up empty it will be gone for good.
To date I have not seen any kind of suggestion from a Serb or anyone else as to what they consider an independent investigation, you keep saying a UN appointed one but both ICTY and EULEX have UN mandates. So you want the UN or the EU to say EULEX is capable of handling all justice of Kosovo with the exception of those of Serbian interests? We could start a process where once a year the UN puts together a list of investigators and then Serbia will look over it and reject it and then the next year we do it all over for say 120 years.
You either trust the EU or not, I think that the govt of Serbia is not going to say we do not trust the EU and continue to try and accelerate their membership.
I wonder which states with the capability of supplying judges and prosecutors you can name that do not have an alliance with the US or Russia or have the interest of pleasing one or the other.

What are you waiting for? Start the darn investigation and don't bore us to death. It is anyway very strange that ever since that big Tamtam nothing happened. Where the frag is Marty, anyway?

The more nothing happens the more it gets confirmed that the liars were in fact the accusers.

For serbian side "Independet" means prosecutors from Russia,China,Venezuela or Iran, since Lybia and Syria are leaving Russian umbrella.
Today,EULEX stated that even though Dick Marty have submitted the raport 4 months ago he hasn't send any proofs yet.EULEX have contacted Marty 4 times in 4 month and Marty have given nothing.
Honestly, Marty have done his job by sabotaging albanians and as I have heard he will retired soon, probably with a fat check from Gasprom.
If I was a victim's relative I would have urged Marty not to play games and to bring the evidence and see Thaci&co behind bars.
But since Marty is NOT going to bring any proof or evidence,as an albanian I have a right to say to him:Go to hell,Dick Marty!

Lets put it this way. If the Albanians dont want an independent investigation it shows they have something to hide, thus admitting that either organ trafficking or worse crimes took place.
(New Zealander, 28 April 2011 14:11)
I am sure you were thinking exactly that when Serbia allowed internationals to "observe" Serbia taking samples at the suspected mass grave near Raska in August but would not allow them to take samples, nor conduct any "indpendent" tests on the samples nor observe the testing of the samples. If Serbia had nothing to hide, why no independent investigation allowed?? Guilty until proven innocent as you propose??

If you feel that an independent investigation cannot not be conducted by those who support Indpendence you have to agree that it cannot be done by those who oppose it either.
I say extend the mandate of the ICTY to continue to investigate and prosecute allegations of war crimes in the balkans irregardless of ethniticity.
(pss, 28 April 2011 14:26)

Thanks, pss, it's a strong and thoughtful posting. ALL serious war crimes need to be investigated, no question. some of us have been pushing this for a long time. But it seems belgrade and moscow are not interested in investigating war crimes or establishing the truth unless they think it can help them politically.help strengthen their position in the negotiations. otherwise nada.

as for the dick marty SMEAR report, cooked up in conjunction with moscow, belgrade, marty and the white witch(dell ponte), there is a possibility that it contains some truth. but certainly not about the organ trafficking -- that is pure hysteria. and it has been pushed and pushed and pushed, by the milosevic media here, at one point, 3 times per day! and an ugly and racist hysteria was created and fomented, again! just like in 2008. the media bears tremendous responsibility for that.

and the real truth, about the mass graves (think raska) and the body burnings of albananians at trepca and mackatica -- all of that remains distressingly silent. the silence, in fact, is deafening.

You answered your own question, ben, by already dismissing KLA war crime allegations as fairy tales. That is why an independent inquiry is needed to investigate Marty's findings. You know that the US/EU would like nothing more than to have this matter go away, so please be honest and realistic. It is precisely because of people with your thinking, that KLA war crimes must be investigated by neutral sources, outside of Eulex. The UN must do this.
(JacobII, 28 April 2011 12:28)
Why does Ben's comment that the organ harvesting is a fairy tale mean that EULEX cannot conduct the investigation.
It seems that all the Serbians want an independent investigation--do not trust the US and EU, who are you proposing to conduct this investigation. You keep saying the UN, they already have the ICTY which did investigate, they also have given EULEX the mandate for justice and police in Kosovo.
Where is this independent panel to come from?? Would it be from countries that have not formed an opinion on the independence of Kosovo, but then Serbia takes the stand that all others than the 75 that have recognized Kosovo supports Serbia.
If you feel that an independent investigation cannot not be conducted by those who support Indpendence you have to agree that it cannot be done by those who oppose it either.

Serbia wants independent investigation.

Kosova as well.

Both Kosova and Serbia want to be part of EU.

EU has a law enforcment mission EULEX.

Where is the problem if EU investigates this fary tale????

the only problem is in the political desire of Serbia to place in same plane her crimes with alleged crimes of KAs. So one day they coud teach their childrens: we did that to them since they did this to us (invert the action-(suposed)reaction) and as proof to bring the fact that even UN Sec Council did see that there were huge crimes commited against Serbs and moraly justify what Serbia did in Kosova.

All these lies with organ stuff; the continuous denial of horendus crimes that you Serbs did in Kosova are gennuine proof that you do not regret for what you have done - thus give moral right to Kosova to ask from the civilized world to be accepted as independent country.

Of course you Serbs can still rely on your old crook frineds as Qedaffi but it seams they are loosing ground lately.

Of course the USA, Germany, Britain, etc., don't want an independent investigation into war crimes committed by the KLA - it would expose who they chose to back in the Balkans - and that would tarnish their world image. We can't have that. Better to be in bed with organ-harvestors to achieve your goals, than to tarnish your reputation.

as for the dick marty SMEAR report, cooked up in conjunction with moscow, belgrade, marty and the white witch(dell ponte), there is a possibility that it contains some truth. but certainly not about the organ trafficking -- that is pure hysteria. and it has been pushed and pushed and pushed, by the milosevic media here, at one point, 3 times per day! and an ugly and racist hysteria was created and fomented, again! just like in 2008. the media bears tremendous responsibility for that.

and the real truth, about the mass graves (think raska) and the body burnings of albananians at trepca and mackatica -- all of that remains distressingly silent. the silence, in fact, is deafening.

thanks! tung.roberto frisco

"Lets put it this way. If the Albanians dont want an independent investigation it shows they have something to hide, thus admitting that either organ trafficking or worse crimes took place.

LOL,

Think what you want, it is a free world, than go yap about it at your local cafe. How else do you think the "rainbow house" was invented?

Remember that you are on the Serb side, in international circles your lies and "accusations" have 0% influence.

Great link Fluid. Well done.

Strangely how this stories are not reported by b92 while they find time to report every single idiot that will want to through some dirt on Kosova.

Do you really think that after what happened in the Hardinaj trial he's going to reveal the names of witnesses until theres adequate witness protection?

The first allegations didnt even come from Serbia, they came from an American journalist, They were investigated by the UN, all without Serbia's knowledge, and the results turned up positive. And when Serbia says independent investigators, she doesnt mean Russian/Chinese ones ect. She wants them from states who dont have an active interest in the province, for the majority of the EU states its in their interests that the organ trafficking isnt true, which is why EULEX is unfit to investigate.

What are you waiting for? Start the darn investigation and don't bore us to death. It is anyway very strange that ever since that big Tamtam nothing happened. Where the frag is Marty, anyway?

The more nothing happens the more it gets confirmed that the liars were in fact the accusers.

to john c:

don´t be stupid John, "the longer it takes, the..." you know that kind of nonsense.

do you fear something to be unveiled that wouldn´t suit you?

the kind of accusations is so grave and serious that this must not be done too quick and without securing that nothing is withhold or gets manipulated, and the seriousness of the accusations is also relevant for the status-question at all, even if the k-albanians will not admit it and just reitarete their usual "done deal" or "status question closed"...

unfortunately we have seen that K-albanians who were willing to testify, were all killed, before they did so.

that all is of course only a stupid coincidence, right? I don´t think so. and I think that exactly that is the reason why THIS time there is some body needed that is capable of protecting those Albanians who are willing to say the truth.

but with comments like yours, you are only displaying k-albanian nervousness and fear.

I hope you got my point.
