Nikolic is not the real story. It is the fact that he is (trying) or being put up to shake the ruling party's cozy relationship with Brussels as 'favored' partner. Remember that Tadic's coalition bearly squeaked in to power and only after a lot of heavy lobbying and guest appearances of a number of high profile western ministers supporting him and his peoples.

His legitimacy is weak even is he is fully endorsed by Brussels. It might even be a put up job by Tadic and co. to give them more leverage and 'wriggle room' against Brussels, i.e. "If you don't let up on the pressure and unreasonable demands on Serbia, you'll have much less cooperative people in power in Belgrade and where would you precious balkan stability pact be?". I say keep on shaking until Brussels backs off, particularly with their 'unofficial' demands...

A farce & a failure by a man who couldnt chalk up the unelectability of the SRS to the minority vote and took it all too personally, made it all about his own ego and stabbed his Kum in the back. Either join the DS govt or re-join the SRS, just dont get mad at the Serb people when they stop voting for pro-EU parties, Tomo.

Nikolic is a fool. He manages to get a high rating for his party by keeping his mouth shut and then goes and does something stupid. I wonder whether he really wants to or is even capable of leading Serbia.
