Bganon, that is the problem with you pro-EU DS and LDP thugs - you guys can not stand any opinion that differs from yours.

Milosevic won election after election. He was not a loser. He kept serbia independent. In his time serbia was more independent than it is today. Now we are a colony for the pursuits of western capital.

I find it disturbing how you vilify me by accusing me of being a young fool who does not know anything. But, what else can one expect from an intolerant person? So much for your double standards of what you like to call democracy - it is in fact you're going to support DS or the LDP or you will be ridiculed. Nice job man, really, nice job. It says a lot about you, more than I ever could in fact.

Lazar Milosevic was supported by a majority of people overall in the 90's. I never denied that fact. That does not make him a great leader as you claim.

And it doesn't change the fact that most Serbians today see him for what he was - basically a loser who was only ever interested in re-election.

I liked your ending as much as I liked your great leader nonsense. 'SRS is coming back to power'. Remember me when this doesn't happen because I'll be laughing at you.

You must be pretty young to not learn by getting it wrong so often, I guess even those completely out of touch will learn one day!

Danilo, you and Bganon pretend that Milosevic was not popular whatsoever. What a sad conclusion of totally uninformed people. But no, you guys are not that uninformed. You are trying to create your dreams into realities. Sorry, but reality and facts are against you. :)

bganon, your arrogance is amazing. You seem to not want to look at reality that Milosevic was supported by VERY many in Serbia. He won election after election. When you are ready to be a man and read what I wrote, then we can talk. Until then, go live in your fantasy dreams. DS is going out, SRS is coming back into power. Cheers!

"You do realise that the large majority of Serbs (never mind non Serbs) completely disagree with you? "

Bganon, Diaspora Serb Milosevic supporters easily explain this by "they were tricked by this bought-and-paid-for 'free' media".

Underlying this is the most peculiar fact - Diaspora Serb Milosevic supporters (of which there are many) actually hate Serbs, whether they realize it or not.

Lazar, sorry I stopped reading after your first sentence - Milosevic was a great leader.

Are you a comedian? You do realise that the large majority of Serbs (never mind non Serbs) completely disagree with you?

Lazar you are completely out of touch, in fact I'm not sure you have ever been in touch with whats really going on in Serbia. There is one way to resolve that - stop preaching from afar and see with your own eyes.

Milosevic was a great leader. He never lost in any election. In 2000 he did not lose - the opposition, funded by the West, got 48% in the first round, and refused the democratic process of going to the runoff elections.

Bganon, milosevic was very open to criticism and the media. In fact he was too open, and that's what brought about his downfall. The West pumped in tens of millions of dollars into the opposition and opposition media. That is what is called "free media", when it is in fact quite biased. When Milosevic did clamp down it was hopelessly too late. Know your facts before you spew lies.

As for Dacic, he's a disgrace to what Milosevic's party stands for. He's trying to recreate the party into something else. He's not a socialist. He's a social democrat and is trying to hijack the party and what it stands for.

I agree with bganon - Dacic shouldn't be mentioning his past allegiance to The Boss. Or maybe he just thinks the political landscape is so pathetic in Serbia right now that Milosevic actually looks good when compared to the current actors.

Anyway, easy for him to talk. Something tells me he doesn't care who's in power, as long as he gets to play king-maker again.

Yes, do as Milosevic. Form an alliance with the Radicals. Use the police force to beat the living daylights out of the opposition. Close down any media that doesn't support the government, or at the very least cut off its distrubution and block any signals of radio and telvision stations that criticise the government.

If all else fails fix the elections!

I think Dacic was stupid to remind us all of his dirty past.

Do as Milosevic would do - call early elections, fix them and then subvert the Serbian people with propaganda and fear into misguided violence to boost and hang onto his power.

Job done.
