Really, since Saturday???? Is this really happening??? This has to be the most ridiculous story ever to have appeared on B92. Nikolic is making an absolute fool of himself. Does he seriously think anyone will take him seriously after this. I think Tadic wont be able to stop laughing let alone even consider calling early elections. To go on hunger strike is laughable enough, but to release a statement that he is stable and surrounded by medical staff after just 24 hours is bordering on slapstick. Please, grow up and act like an adult politician if you wish to be treated as such.

I agree. Some young girls sometime do crazy things to get attention and possible advencment in career. But a grown-up man, who apparently wishes to become PM? Playing "prima dona" makes him ridiculous beyond belief.

I hope all of Serbia realizes that if this is picked up by the outside press, Serbia will become the laughing stock of the country. There is nothing you can say to belittle Kosovo any longer.

Taken to hospital after a couple of days compared to Seselj's 30 days of Hunger proves Nikolic isn't even 5% the man that Seselj is. What a humiliation for Toma. He wants his break with Seselj to be worth it by forcing & winning elections befor Seselj's return brings back a huge chunk of voters back to the SRS in the new anti-EU climate but revenge by Seselj is inevitable. Toma is Humiliated.

I think its pretty clear Tadic isnt going to call elections. Nikolic should really start an Egypt/Yemen style revolution. Also if he wanted votes; two election promises would be to Bring back some form of the Monarchy, and promise to arrest Thaci

What can Nikolic give us that Tadic can't. I just got back from Belgrade and we need the EU whether we like it or not, and now. People can't feed their families for God's sake. Can't eat pride. Let's build our strength and then fight for what we believe in. A strong Serbia with Kosovo (or a part of it) at it's heart. What we need now is a smiling hand shaker, and Tadic fits the bill perfectly.

He hasn't lasted one day and is trying to dramatize a trip to the hospital so that he will,'under the direction of his doctor, but against his will, and ofr the good of Serbia' stop his hunger strike so he can lead in the future. Well that would make no difference, the fact is he is representing Serbia, however if he were representing Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Russia etc the message would be the same.
Irregardless of his ethniticity it is a totally stupid melodramatic stunt. The key is whether a nation would cave to such a stunt, will Serbia?? It would also be different if he were an ordinary citizen, and not someone who has a following and aspires to lead the country.
I am not balkan, so I do not think along bloodlines.

Yeah right,Tadic and his DS indebts the nation which is going towards bankrupcy,he allows predatory loans from banks to go with interests of up to 20% to be given to the citizens,he is doing nothing to revive Serbias industry ,he is protecting the parasitical burocrats by selling state assets to keep up their unrealistic wages for very low prices while ignoring investment in infrastructure and eduacation!

One of many examples is I have a cousin in Serbia which now is 33 years old he cant even pay to register is car so he could drive let alone pay to own a house. The only hope he has is to inharit a home from his parents. Today in Serbia if you start your life with 0 dollars you have no dam! chance to make it in life which means having A house ,family Job!! marriage, kids basic things etc.. My point is why the hell is Serbia's goverment so commited to the EU while it population is beyond suffuring but deminishing to dust. 90% of Serbia's population would leave for a better life. Nicolic made it clear : lets fix our house FIRST!! then focus on other priorities which the EU will maybe come 8th on a scale of 10. It is sad that it came to this.I blame the population for being so nieve to belive that EU is the only way to fix Serbia.
