Being an American I understand that I probably do not have the feel for Serbian politics as someone who lives there however he may be playing a very sophisticated game of confusing Americans so as to not have the Americans interfere with the elections as they did last time. In other create a false sense of security by creating the perception that whatever way it goes its OK with the USA.

I for one hope your right. I will be eligible to vote in my first elections when the next one comes around and I would be much more comfortable with voting for Toma if I knew Toma is trying to fool you and his views are similar to the 90's.

Your mind maybe in 2011 but the fact is that Nikolic and his mate Alexandar Vucic would sell out their own mothers for a dollar or two. Look at their history – both with the Radicals while they had power and a soon as that disappeared they saw the light and became democrats and very pro European. The answer is simple; they have drained one money well dry and now they see an even bigger opportunity by groveling to the US.
I’m not sure what you want to vote for but regardless Nikolic will not bring you any great joy – he is in this for himself.
