The Yankee/Nato pilots couldn't differentiate Gaddafi's tanks from the rebels ..... and we are to believe that their troops will fare any better? And wouldn't sending ground troops to Libya be in flagrant violation of the UNSC resolution? Not that it would surprise me one bit if the Yankees went ahead to physically occupy Libya. But this latest Yankee line of thought does suggest that the fighting is not quite going the way the Yankees wanted.

I think there was an error in the text, rather than 'No fly zone' it was 'No flies zone'. Obviously the only way to get rid of flies is to have US ground troops running around Libya with giant pink fly swatters and handing out leaflets to join Al-Queda! Who's the creep? The 'mission' is the creep.

US should let Sarkozy send ground troops. He took a "leading role" in this Libya business.
And just when he started looking few centimeters taller....US wants to steal the show.
Boo-whoo! Not fair!

Wow - that's a jump from the original "no fly zone". Now they've started bombing it's got messy and they need an end to it. Of course they can't just stop the air war and go home (loss of face and looking weak) and sending in ground troops means a long commitment.

Do they not learn that muscling into the affairs of other countries (particulrly the ever-volatile muslim world) ends in tears.

No doubt Gaddafi will end up being replaced with a bunch of hardline muslims who are more oppressive and hate the US more than Gaddafi ever did.

NATO again interfering in internal affairs of a sovereign country. I personally don't have a like for any warring faction, be it Gaddafi, Al Qaeda or NATO but I am certain a push for peace talks would be far more constructive than maintaining the current conflict.
