Isn't that what the goverments of Greece,Ireland and Portugal said before the've asked the EU and IMF for a bailout? Spain has 20% unemployment (30+% in the South), a youth unemployment rate of about 40-45% and not a snowball's chance in hell to get out of its crisis by staying in the Euro.

There is no doubt that Spain bears a lot of blame as far as its regulatory policies on the banking and property sectors are concerned.
But this crisis was sparked by banking fraud in the US, corporate greed, and the largest transfer of wealth from the rich to the poor, which in turn triggered all of the financial crises the world is seeing. The European social model developed after the second war world is definitely coming to an end.
