Its seems that you can lead the horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. As per usual, denial, diversion and fluffly comments in reponse. No links to official organizations contradicting what I posted. Fortunately, I don't care what these illiterates write, but I put the links up for those many silent readers on B92 who want to know what the hell has been going on so that they can make their own minds up. No point preaching to the converted or those of extreme limited intellect!

Here's a nice series of recent articles from the GlobalPost on Thaci's criminal network:

@Ben

I understand where you are coming from, but as a news organization B92 is giving their patrons what they want to hear, not the unbiased facts and truth. B92 wont make any money or get contributions from shady people unless they publish what the money wants them to publish. With no money, B92 wont exist. Truth or no truth, B92 has to feed themselves and if they were "fair and balanced" then they would get no money and would go out of business. Whenever B92 attempts to put out unbiased journalism like the Kolubara mines story, they get posters with death threats posted around town. Thats the kind of country Serbia is these days. Nothing has changed. Even there was some nonsense about this whole Ceca thing where B92 people were being threatened. Have you ever noticed how they refer to the KLA as "the so called..." Theres nothing "so called" about the KLA. You dont have to love them, you can believe that they are terrorists, but you cannot deny the fact that they are called the Kosova Liberation Army. Journalism is supposed to express the news which isnt always what you want to hear. The KLA existed and they were called the Kosova Liberation Army. Theres no disputing that. The world referred to them as the KLA and not "the so called KLA". Thats crummy journalism and shows their bias, and shows how they try to smear the name of anything that goes against Serbia.

B92 is the equivalent of Fox News in America. NOT fair and balanced.

Sorry to break it to you, but B92 is one of the most neutral news sources in the world, Even RT is extreme by B92 standards. You can see this because it allows your extreme views to make it onto this site, while others wouldnt, If I went onto "NewKosovaDaily" and made a comment regarding the truth, it wouldnt get through, If you want biased oppinions though, then go to Serbianna.

It's like this, when I researched Albanian and or Kosovar-Albanian people on You Tube I stumbled upon some videos featuring the Albanian and or Kosovar-Albanian community (whether a substantial community or not)residing in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania,U.S.A. So my question is is there an Albanian mafia or criminal organization residing in "Philly?"(Philadelphia for short.)

Reason I ask such a question is because I didn't know that Philadelphia has an Albanian and or Kosovar community another reason to ask is because later this month or in early May,we're some supposed to travel to a Midwestern U.S. state and we may have a connecting flight out of Philadelphia though we're not planning to visit this city. Finally it should be imperative to note that (especially to Albanians) that my question is NOT to imply that every Philadelphia area Albanian is involved in crime because I'm sure most of them are law abiding citizens and besides it's NOT like I'm nervous to be in the presence of a potential Albanian passenger(s) or person(s) employed at Philadelphia International Airport.

Brazil seized 1.1 tons of cocaine form the Serbian mafia.

Argentina sized 2 ton of cocaine from the Serbian mafia.

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes-article.php?yyyy=2011&mm=04&dd=01&nav_id=73561

Some years ago Macedonian police sized 500kg of cocaine from the Serbian mafia.

And B92 “explores” the crime in Kosova.

I don’t want to say that there is no crime in Kosova but definitively not even close to what crime structure has Serbia which is international and has such a deep roots that was able to kill your PM and control huge amount of the economy. Just few months ago the Serbian mafia was able to sett the political agenda (the cases of the football game in Genoa) where even Tadic admitted that the battle with the Serbian mafia and politics is more than ever open.

Anyhow the entire civilized world knows very well that the Serbian aggression on Kosova has not finished in 1999 it just took another form. B92 it just gambling her fragile reputation with such rubbish propaganda. It's your problem.

If B92 wants to make serious investigation journalism on this theme it should at least take a regional perspective of the crime network as the crime is regional and global while leave aside the nationalistic propaganda approach.

Of course then it will come up the truth: the seized tons of cocaine are real and much more important than reports without any judiciary evidence and of course this will spoil the propaganda mission... but hey that’s the life.

Great post, it highlights that the Albanians are one (1) link in the criminal chain which encompasses, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, FYROM, Turkey, China, Russia, Italy, etc, etc.
So it is pure and simple without the Albanians there is no problem--Right?

Aleks,

don't make search for links to thousands of sources that mention freely about Serbian being a hub of heroin / drugs in Europe/SE Europe/Balkans.

Get real....nothing produced so far is hard-core evidence. Where are the organs? The bodies of the ones killed..........show me physical proof I can touch and put on a court table to sue/arrest or hold responsible a person.

Get back me on that,

I think that BE92 is clearly showing us, by constantly painting albanians as crmininals (and serbs as victims), how they are diligently serving the Serbian propaganda machine. In my opinion, the Serbian media, and Serbian society in general, hasn't changed much since Milosevic was in rule in the 1990's. Serbian society is still sucked in that same collective psychosis as during the 90's and, since BE92 has a large Serbian public, the propaganda is aimed at inculcating and reinforcing the neurotic and psychotic syndromes in the Serbian society.

And who are the bright sparks who insist on posting comments then? Nul points, you are not going to the Olympics.

More accurately:

B92 + albanans = a lot of nonsense, far too many words and in extremely rare cases, backing up their claims (or as they call them 'facts') with internet links that are not a rehash of 10 year old propaganda.

Maybe the albo commenters here should sue B92, after all isn't it an attack on the 'albanian nation'/anti-albanian and against you human rights? I suggest you go straight to the European Court of Human Rights. Or, why don't you cancel your 'subscription' to the B92 comments pages or won't you get paid for your most thoughtful, analytical and pointed comments? Freedom of speech is clearly for loosers.

So far from god and even further away from Brussels.

As for moderation of comments, considering that B92 has had 'cuts' by its new owners, I seriously doubt they will be employ someone full time to read through hundreds of brainless comments for bigotry and racism. It would be enough to put such a person into a severe depression!

On the actual subject of the article, I've posted before links to EUROPOL's ОCTA annual report which put albanian criminals in the center. Maybe you could send them a stiff email?

"The South East criminal hub is very active in both producing various commodities and acting as a busy transit, warehousing and re-packaging zone. There are at least three main feeders and relevant routes directly influencing the South East criminal hub:North (the Ukraine and Moldova),Centre (Western Balkans) and South (Turkey).

The significance of the port of Constanta in the cocaine traffic is growing, and cocaine seems to be increasingly arriving in the EU through Turkey and/or the Balkans. This may be due to the increased involvement of Turkish and ethnic Albanian groups in the cocaine distribution chain, but may also be the effect of the already well-established role of West Africa as a transit zone."

P.23

"The most active OC groups involved in trafficking human beings in the EU are Bulgarian, Nigerian and Romanian. Groups from other Balkan countries, China, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Vietnam are also frequently reported. Albanian OC groups tend to exploit victims trafficked by other groups."

P.33

"There are at least three main feeders and relevant routes directly influencing the South East criminal hub: ...

Centre (the Balkans):Albania,Kosovo/Serbia, Montenegro and FYROM Origin and/or transit point for cannabis products, illegal immigrants/victims of trafficking, heroin, cocaine, cigarettes, synthetic drugs and precursors, counterfeit Euros and arms into the EU."

P.34

"Regional distribution in South East Europe seems however still to be in the hands of ethnic Albanian groups, with Albania serving as a pre-gathering and transport centre for the distribution of
heroin into the EU....The South East criminal hub also impacts strongly upon the Southern hub. The links between Albania, the Kosovo region and Italy remain strong in trafficking in human beings,
heroin, cannabis products and increasingly also cocaine while Romania is an important gateway..."

P.37

"The Turkish groups are using Romania and Bulgaria as entry points for heroin into the EU, and are co-operating with ethnic Albanian and Serbian groups who often handle at least certain parts
of the final distribution starting from Albania and the Kosovo region and proceeding via Austria into Western Europe."

P.46

"There are indications suggesting the possibility that IN-SO strategies have been adopted by OCGs run by criminals with Albanian ethnicity or originating from the Caucasus region."

1. See Vojislav Seselj.
2. Only one known Albanian has turned himself in, thats Hardinaj
3. Theres no way Mladic is in Serbia, if he was in Serbia, then the EU wouldnt of Started membership talks until his arrest. Theres also no way he could go around unseen with thousands of people on the lookout for him.
4. Ceku, Limaj, and that Dr Mengele you've got there (Thaci) didnt hand themselves in
5. Serbia is the only country in the Balkans that has not distinglished between the ethnicities of its suspects, being the only one to arrest and trial all war criminals, regardless of their ethnicities, And if the Croats/Muslims/Albanians arent going to arrest their war criminals, then who is?
(John, 4 April 2011 21:28)

1)Impressive.....Vojislav Seselj. Does Serbia want a Plazma Keks for that? 1 scumbag down....thousands of more to go.

2)Haradinaj turned himself in because there was a "warrant for his arrest" and he honorably turned himself not once, but twice! There is no other warrant currently out there for any Kosovar Albanians so theres no need for anybody to turn themselves in. What a silly point you made. People dont turn themselves in if they arent wanted.

3)Mladic can hide as long as he wants with State protection! Thats the natural and most logical conclusion to come to. Thats why the international community is appalled with Serbia's neglect to find him and arrest him. Hes so well known that its impossible without help from the inside to hide him. Secondly, if he was out of the country...I think the world has better resources to know this than you do.

4)These hero's that you are attempting to smear their good name have no warrants for their arrest. Again, there is no arrest warrant for them. If the time comes that there is a warrant for their arrest, they will turn themselves in unlike Mladic the head of the snake of Serbian genocide team who is still on the loose sipping Cognac at a military base somewhere watching Ceca perform for him.

5)Serbia arrests a few of their own and put them on trial to give the world the illusion that they have "changed" as a country. They haven't however, because they are still shielding Mladic. Its all smoke and mirrors. Its not rocket science my friend. Serbia is holding out with Mladic so they can use him as a powerful bargaining chip when push comes to shove. He will live out most of his life in freedom, and then when the fat cats in Belgrade think he is going to die of old age, they will give him up and collect on the benefits.

The world knows Serbian tricks all too well John. Maybe your own people eat up this nonsense, but the world doesnt.

Normal people would think twice when they read that four or five western intelligency agencies independently created files about connections of Kosovo politicians with mafia structures. Some other people still want to believe in conspiracy theories, on the other hand, and think that 9/11 was a staged deal by the US, others believe in the innocence of Thaci.

There is an investigative show called "To Catch A Predator" in the USA that deals with online child molestation. I would like to see the investigative series titled "To Catch A Serbian War Criminal" and have it focus on who is hiding war criminals in Serbia and Where are they hiding and why arent they being brought to justice. Serbia seems to be very good at "finding" Albanian, Bosnian Muslim, Croation alleged "criminals", but they cant seem to find such high profile war criminals like Mladic who are right in their backyards. That shows that Serbia has a selective process for capturing and investigating alleged "criminals". However, knowing how Serbs always betray themselves time and time again....Im sure they are waiting for the right offer to hand off Mladic to the Hague just like they did with Milosevic and others.

Have you noticed that if an Albanian is accused of war crimes nobody needs to go find him and put a bounty on his head? Albanian's just turn themselves in because its the honorable thing to do. Let justice run its course. If you are innocent then you will be found innocent. If you are guilty you will be found guilty. However, Mladic is an animal that needs to be caught and needs to pay for what he did. Give it time....he will be caught and turn over by his fellow Serbs as long as the price is right.

The bigger issue here is that the crimes committed by the Albanian mafia are being hidden by the US/UK/Germany and others to cover up their own involvement. It is good that B92 is covering these issues and hopefully it will put more pressure on some countries to allow a proper investigation to occur. I'll be watching it.

Apparently the Albanian groupthinkers here have no clue about a news site they frequent every day to pose dim-witted comments. B92 did two pieces of journalism on crime in Serbia. The first was called "See you in the Obituaries", which documented the organized crime in Milosevic's Serbia as afterwards. The second was called "Vukovar: The Final Cut" which interviewed Serbs and Croats who fought in and were affected by that campaign.

Funny how B92 is lauded for professional journalism when it investigates its own side (and is derided by its nationalists as Soros funded), but is regarded as "Milosevic propaganda" the minute it looks at Albanian organized crime centered in and around Kosovo - especially when it reports on things already well known. I wonder then why a number of people come here if they regard this site as nothing more than a disseminator of Serbian nationalism.

Funny! It was not so long ago when I read a B92 report about directors from Serbian public companies donating money to obscure polital groups and Serbian Orthodox church for bizarre projects and journeys. The relationships between Belgrade mafia an certain political parties has been investigated before, too.

What has been the latest discovery of Kosovo media? Some investigations on how Thaci's buddies get well payed jobs in Kosovo public companies, for example? ;-)

I am perplexed at both the allegations of Albanian criminals running Kosovo and the fact that the international community is looking the other way. Maybe the real reason why the international community is pushing Serbia to "release" Kosovo is so that Kosovo can then be dealt with as an independent territory, by the international community, including Serbia.
At present the situation is too opaque, because Serbia is still officially responsible for Kosovo, while the criminals have a free hand. On the other side this whole story could well be fabricated in order to smooth the path for an easy transition into independence for Kosovo, because with this kind of news who would want to be associated with them. Not even the Serbs.
(T, 4 April 2011 14:45)
# Comment link

If KLA leaders were involved in criminal activities in order to finance the war in Kosovo is one thing, if they are still engaged in illegal activities is another.
Opposition forces in Libya are armed, there is no legal way they have obtained those arms and if they lose they will probably be harshly punished by the Libyan regime, however if they win the international community will not forever ostracize them for what they have done.
That is why the supposed link between Kosovo rebels and the mafia are somewhat overlooked. Are they still connected, I don't know.

As far as your comment "Serbia is officially responsible for Kosovo" could not be further than the truth. In what ways? Disregarding the DOI and its acceptance, the UN removed all responsibilities of Serbia over Kosovo in 1999. The World Bank and IMF have released Serbia from any debt considered to be due to Kosovo. Serbia cannot represent Kosovo in any International setting. Serbia's whole EU ascension plan is without consideration of Kosovo.

iliri,
"ruso-serbian maphia" is infecting your population?

You do a very poor job of making excuses.
NO, it is not the Serbs, Russians nor Italians. It is the criminals, it is organized crime that is responsible. They take their own for slave trade and even kill their own for money from traffic meters.
Excuses don't stop the crimes and criminals know no nationality.

All over the internet as an example ...
"Mafia bosses rapidly filled in the power vacuum created by the fall of communism in Albania. Their primary trade is prostitution and trafficking of illegal immigrants. Today, all over Europe there are an estimated 30,000 Albanian or Kosovo Albanian prostitutes walking the streets.

"The crime network often lures poor Albanian girls into believing they will enjoy a better life abroad, only to be thrown into a web of drugs, sex and slavery. Stories of abductions of girls as young as 14 abound in Albanian villages. These girls are kidnapped and transported to other European countries, primarily Italy, where they are sold to pimps."

"Shooting that exposed how gangs coined it in from parking meters

When the Blairs set their hearts on a house in Connaught Square they had no idea that they were relocating from Britain’s most secure address to one at the centre of a gangland turf war.

Even as a police protection team was assessing security at the former Prime Minister’s new home, Albanian criminals were fighting over who had the right to rob the parking meters outside his front door.

The Albanian gangs devised a lucrative, systematic and ingeniously simple scam that netted £1.25 million in £1 coins last year from meters in the City of Westminster alone...."

OR

London Mafia Controlled by Albanians with Bulgaria Ties

The Albanian mafia that runs the largest criminal gangs in London has ties to the Bulgarian mafia, according to The London Daily News.

In a report Monday the London newspaper revealed that the Drenica group whose main profit is drugs, weapons, stolen automobiles, white slavery, cigarettes and alcohol has links with the Albanian, Macedonian, Bulgarian and Czech mafias.

In an under cover investigation into criminal gangs operating in north London Albanians who fought in the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) during the bloody Balkans conflict against Serbia, now have now established themselves as formidable figures in the London’s underworld.

One leading Albanian gangster who spoke to the London Daily News said:

“We can use guns, we control the prostitutes in Soho and we are investing in London heavily. We fear no one and the law cannot do anything to stop us.”

The newspaper discovered that to have someone “taken out” according to the unwritten laws in London’s criminal underworld, the going rate is around GBP 5 000 with Albanian’s using either guns or knives to eliminate the target."

What a load of BS, Serbian media talking about Albanian mafia.

I can't believe how hungry people are for this trash in Serbia. How many decades will have to pass for Serbia to find a different way of "defending its integrity" other that feeding trash to its population. I was living in Albania, 25 years ago, and I still remember the same rhetoric coming from Yugoslav television on how K-Albanians were sucking Serbian blood with their syringes of heroin. 25 years and I still hear the same and the same.
It's so ridiculous to even start a discussion on which is worse Albanian Mafia or Serbia Mafia but for the kind of people that are so fascinated by this news, here is a web page that is worthy for this article:

http://www.crystalkiss.com/top-10-biggest-mafias-around-the-world/

For the sake of "brotherhood" it seems that Albanian Mafia and Serbian Mafia occupy respectively place number 9 and 10 in this list, with Russian Mafia being number 1.

The most horrible fact is that Serbian public still craves for these kind of news. Its very unfortunate that the new generation that was born after 99's war is put under the spell of Serbian nationalism of the worse kind, the one that is based in such obscure propaganda and ill intended.
Get over it. The criminal state enterprise that Serbia built in the 90, is the culprit of 4 terrible wars, including Kosovo war, where hundreds of thousands innocent civilians died in vain.

Mafia has no nationality, in UK ,Europe etc, every police reports states that ''eastern'' europeans are mostly involved in criminal activities...wether these eastern are former yugoslavs, soviets, eastern block, it does not matter, the reality is that Estern Europe has the same problems, directing finger to Albanians does not solve the problem, no matter how strong this ''Albanian'' maphia might be, it is no match for zemun clan in serbia, which kills prime ministers, if a clan can kill a prime minister, than this clan has ties with secret service, and that is a grave problem, in Albania, secret service is not better though, or at least i think so ... the ''Albanian Maphia '' myth exists because Albanians in the 90s were probably the poorest of Esteren Europeans but, it is more of a propaganda, especially by italians, who, in order to cover the ties of italian gov with maphia, simply blamed Albanians. And i don't need to go through why we were the poorest nation in Europe...we have ecxperienced several revolutions and wars, wether the instability happened in Kosovo and Fyrom or in Albania, Albanian people were mostly affected...this because we are divided in 5 countries...as long as we don't have a single state which protects our national interests, our people will always be spread like jews in the desert and will be affected by international crime organisations, the solution would be an organic state. When we finally unite, then, diaspora Albanians can finally turn back to their lands and there will be no way ruso-serbian maphia infects our population...if B92 wants to contribute against maphia, they should start with Serbia. In Albania (includes Kosovo) , if there is maphia , is our problem .

However, Mladic is an animal that needs to be caught and needs to pay for what he did. Give it time....he will be caught and turn over by his fellow Serbs as long as the price is right.

2 Million people is easily overpassed by criminal behaviour by a larger country with 7.5 million people such as Serbia.

iliri,
"ruso-serbian maphia" is infecting your population?

Nothing new, B92 is doing what Serbs usually do, point fingers at others while they themselves are far from being angels. I would like to see something from B92 telling us how it was possible for Ratko Mladic to hide all these years?

John

2 Million people is easily overpassed by criminal behaviour by a larger country with 7.5 million people such as Serbia.

Politicians (= maffia) when they claim to invest 100's of million of euro in Kosova. None of this money is seen in any investment. You should better check the pocket of Tadic and Company.

Of course then it will come up the truth: the seized tons of cocaine are real and much more important than reports without any judiciary evidence and of course this will spoil the propaganda mission... but hey that’s the life.

iliri,
"ruso-serbian maphia" is infecting your population?

Zoran

pre 13 godina

The bigger issue here is that the crimes committed by the Albanian mafia are being hidden by the US/UK/Germany and others to cover up their own involvement. It is good that B92 is covering these issues and hopefully it will put more pressure on some countries to allow a proper investigation to occur. I'll be watching it.

Maybe the albo commenters here should sue B92, after all isn't it an attack on the 'albanian nation'/anti-albanian and against you human rights? The significance of the port of Constanta in the cocaine traffic is growing, and cocaine seems to be increasingly arriving in the EU through Turkey and/or the Balkans. This may be due to the increased involvement of Turkish and ethnic Albanian groups in the cocaine distribution chain, but may also be the effect of the already well-established role of West Africa as a transit zone."
