HighDuke is right, our time will come again. Straining relations with the people directly would not be of benefit. Straining them with government and encouraging the people to vote for friendly parties in parliament would be a more rational way to react to the behavior of the regime in Podgorica.

I do agree with you in spirit but why do we need to encourage people to vote for parties which include friendship and cooperation with Serbia? Shouldn't these people already have this in the hearts and minds?
These are the same people who keep electing an unfriendly party over and over. What does this tell you?
It's automatic from Bosnian Serbs so why not from Montenegrin Serbs? Maybe be we are giving them more credit that they deserve.

Sorry, but Serbia is the regional Superpower in the West Balkans, Its got the most money, biggest army, highest predicted growth and best outlook for the future, cant ask for any more then that.
(John, 4 April 2011 06:33)
The problem is day to day most of you get on here and criticize how bad everyone else is in the region. So when you are saying that Serbia is the "best" in what you catagorize as the arm pit of the world, what is it you are actually saying? Are you saying that Serbia is less of a black hole for foreign handouts???

When tearing others down in order to make yourself look good, you do not want it to seem like there is no competition.

Serbia can never be the superpower in the region, but a troublemaker yes, its easier to cause trouble then to do good.
Anyway, I can see that you are the only person in the world hung up with this B.S. superpower due to s.stream. Luts of luck on your dreams body.

When will Serbia stop allowing "montenegrin citizens" free access to our schools and health care?! When will we stop allowing them the use of our diplomatic missions around the world free of charge?!

We are wasting money building a highway and rail line towards Montenegro when we should be building them towards Republika Srpska!
(Echo base, 3 April 2011 23:46)

You need to understand this is the Montenegro government, not the people we should punish. Montenegro broke off by a very slim margin. About half the country wanted to remain with Serbia. Along with the fact that the Serbian Orthodox is the most influental institution in the country means there is alot of Serbian influence there.

Montenegro is an ungrateful, hypocritical, little backstabber of a "country”. I’m tired of hearing how close we are and should have the best relations possible. Their actions (violating our sovereignty, inventing a language etc) speak entirely opposite of that.

highduke,

Awhile ago, you stated Serbia was already a regional superpower. Why the backtracking? I think you have realized that Russia may disappoint Serbia once again. Where was Russia when NATO bombed Serbia with impunity. And, when the Russians did act by attempting to take the airport in Prishtina in June of 1999, all they accomplished was to disappoint the Serbs and embarrass themselves. The Russians couldn't hold the airport for even a day! Highduke, you are betting on the wrong horse.

Hah ! Regional superpower ? It maight take longer than you think.Albanians have way better chance to become superpower of the region. They have everything they need and if you give them few more years they will help you find your kolevku zemlju.

CG independence is like bell-bottom pants: a fad that will go away once Serbia becomes the regional superpower after the S.Stream as Putin predicted. Dual citizenship covertly undermines CG independence for obvious reasons but they wont be able to stop the inevitable Serb re-awakening in CG by the mid-2010s

@ Highduke. That's a very radical comment and the very reason why CG is cautious of dual citizenship. It's independent and is recognized by the UN. Kosovo isn't a UN member and is technically not an independent state. It would be better for the Serb camp to focus on that. There are a great many Montenegrins with family in Serbia and vice versa. The bond should be stronger. Consider this, Montenegro was tired of being shunned during the Yugo days and watch Croatia and Slovenia have all the industry being developed there. Only after independence are the citizens realizing what little was done for them.
