Dear Mr. Djelic,
Early elections ARE part of the reform. Considering how the ruling party has failed miserably, maybe early elections are Serbia's better chance? This is open to argument.
That said, Serbia is NOT going to get candidate status this year. There is too much corruption. Too much poverty. Too many stupid decisions over Kosovo. Too little transparency. Too many excuses over Mladic for far too long. But I suspect you know this.
The EU has been signaling both their desires and offers of help for quite a while, to no avail. For all we know, maybe they would be happy to see those less deaf in power? When Tadic attends Gadhafi's military parade in Libya, instead of being with the rest of European leaders in Poland for a WWII memorial, what really can be said? When the US says they are very disappointed you could not attend an economic conference with the rest of the Balkans, they really meant it. Completely stupid. Only to be equaled by a "reshuffled" government. Do you really think that impressed the EU?
What is not open to argument? What is verifiable? BT et al has failed. Tadic has proven himself to be a cowardly leader with little imagination or good sense. Early elections are not a coup, just an exercise in democracy. If the majority of citizens don't feel the way I do, then they will re-elect you "reshuffled" bunch. Such is democracy.
Stop with all the petty bribes and threats. Too little too late.
