Being living there for 6 years, believe me, don't put all your eggs in their hands...., EU is also certainly not the ultimate paradise, but still a better choice. Surely Serbia has a an interest card to play, however should not play too much with the fire !

The EU is not the land of milk and honey some seem to think. I believe most in the UK would vote to get out if we had our promised referendum, but we haven't had one, why do you think that is. There is a simple solution to that. Serbia should stop trying to become an EU member and see if it can become a Russian province.
Again, this is only in response to your comment about good old Russia not making demands to Serbia. It's not really my opinon.

Diana I belive Serbia should chose its own path but not just Serbia any one, however Russias history is a lot darker in dealing with its interests ask Polish people or Rumanians or Maldova or ...
Not Saying EU are saints but trust me they are much better than Russia.
But hey if this is the path Serbia chooses lets hope it does not turn like it did for East Germany.

Diana actually 'allowing you to choose your own path' and telling you that Russian missiles will be pointed at you if you join NATO (as Putin did to Serbia) are not entirely the same thing.
Don't get me wrong I'm not a supporter of Serbia in NATO, but lets not believe in fairy tales about Russia any more than those about the EU.
Serbia must persue its own best interest, just as EU countries and just as Russia does.
