Looking at the attached link from the BBC website that shows the demonstrations in Kosovo, it is interesting to see the "Kosovars" proudly displaying their "Kosovo flag"....One question, it does seem to be very similar in colour, design and overall layout to that of the Albanian flag. A coincedence I am sure.

they are neither exklas, nor veterans:they were, are and will be KOSOVO FREEDOM FIGHTERS!
they stop serbian genocide over albanian population and will always be honored for that by all albanians!

That logic makes members of the SS who invaded Poland where there was a small german minority "FREEDOM FIGHTERS"

"Kosovo assembly Speaker and former KLA Commander Jakup Krasniqi has stated that EULEX prosecutors should withdraw the warrant for Limaj’s arrest, claiming that the arrest warrant is “contrary to Kosovo Constitution and laws”."

Must be funny 'country' with a very interesting kind of constitution that preserves war criminal from being prosecuted. It says a lot about Kosovo, doesn't it?

"How many times must you be told , "supervised independence" will ALWAYS be better than "serbian sovereignty". Do you not get that yet?

Do you think the more you belittle the Kosovo Albanians the more you want them to come back and join Serbia.

Ok heres is a hint - if you want the Kosovars to work with you , adress their respective ethnic needs/aspirations. You would have thought after Milosevic made such a mess of things in the 80's and 90's you would have learnt somehting by now.

Obviouslly not! perhaps in serbia , when it comes to the extrmisit camp , its definately a case of "the blind leading the blind".
(truthiness, 24 March 2011 02:02) "

And how many times need I repeat to all and sundry (yourself especially) that I'm not Serb nor from the Balkans as you seemed to think from the wordings of your post?

By all means enjoy your "supervised independence". To me it is really EU neocolonialism.

You see me as belittling the K-Albanians. I see myself as just stating a stark albeit unpalatable truth .... you guys are really not your own masters in the current situation ..... ironical that your pseudonym should be "truthiness" when you are unable to stomach the truth of what I wrote! Really, if anyone is belittling you guys, it is those bureaucrats in the EU and EULEX in my opinion!

Just found this Bill Clinton speech from 1999, found it quite interesting

The NATO allies support the desire of the Serbian people to maintain Kosovo as part of your country. With our Russian partners we insisted on that at the peace talks. The result was a fair and balanced agreement that would guarantee the rights of all people in Kosovo, ethnic Serbs and Albanians alike, within Serbia.

Kosovo is Serbia, even Bill Clinton agrees.

Are these Kosovo officials that naive? Apparently so. The EU, via Eulex, are Kosovo's new masters now. That's what "supervised independence" really means .... just do as you are told but you may pretend that you rule yourselves!

Ha-we are just months away from eurocrats sending thaci to jail for organ harvesting, and this must be a warning from kla not to "mess" with them..
Too late-justice is sometimes blind and slow, but days of kla are numbered.

He believes that EULEX should probe corruption, organized crime and smuggling instead of investigating war crimes.

Kosovo assembly Speaker and former KLA Commander Jakup Krasniqi has stated that EULEX prosecutors should withdraw the warrant for Limaj’s arrest, claiming that the arrest warrant is “contrary to Kosovo Constitution and laws”.

But of course, why should Eulex investigate war crimes in dream land, no need, only others have to comply with this !
So warrant on criminals is contrary to kosovo constitution, well, quiet interesting, wondering who drafted this master piece !

Let's see what God frisco and Agim and alike have to say to this, doubtfully will they gift us with a doctorate on this issue....

Remember what I said some months earlier. This is just the beginning. About 350 K Albanians will go to prison in the coming 10-15 years for war crimes, org crime etc. Thats why Eulex are there for God sake ! Wait and see.

It seems protest took place in a few more towns: I found that at http://kosnews.tk
In 26 towns of Kosovo today occurred protest rejecting the arrest of former members of the KLA Brigade 121 by EULEX. About 200 NGOs make up the Coalition for Democracy. Protesters claimed EULEX arrests would intent damaging the reputation of Kosovo as well as supporting Serbia in ongoing negotiations. The main request – expressed by KLA veterans spokesman Krasniqi – was: "… the removal of executive powers from EULEX, declaring the mission proved … failed; release of all fighters from prisons as proceedings … were politically motivated, asking the Assembly of Kosovo to protect KLA and its fighters by law …”. According to Kosovo police spokesman Baki Kelani, in general all protests passed peacefully and without incident. Veterans Organizations announced repeated protest in Prishtina on March 29. "EULEX has also been criticized by Kosovo officials who claim that EULEX’s mission is not to persecute and arrest former KLA members."

No, but EULEX mission is to establish some basic rule of law in the corrupt state of Kosovo, which includes to prosecute criminals, including war criminals. Simple and easy.
