The rest of the world? The rest of the world could not care less about serbian orthodox ultranationalism, and balkan sectarianism in general...slavs lean their identity on religion, Albanians do not, there are plenty of orthodox churchs in Albania, no one harms them. The only problem is with serbian orthodoxy, because these two churches sponsor anti albanianism . As long as three finger salute is shared by both serbian orthodoxs and nationaists, churchs in Kosovo will be viewed as buildings which spread cetnic plague.

Well, the article fails to mention that Albanians were moved out of serbian dominated areas as well during the 2004 riots...yet, nothing is as sad and as unremediable as lost lives, you can rebuilt a church, a mosque or a home, people can start new lives in some other place, but a dead person can not be turned back to life, and the drowinig of two children which i believe that serbs are guilty for, is unforgivable...and anyone would turn mad in such tragic event, not just the albanian ''hotheads'' as serbian propaganda likes to portray... this day is not exclusively ''serbian day'' ...just think of those 19 albanian families as well..RIP

Yet i don't understand why serbs burned churches in Nish and Belgrade. As far as i know Albanians don't live there, i know that albanians burned churches because they see them as serbian institutions...anyway.

"I don't think you are from Kosova , becasue out of 23 deaths, 19 were Albanians.
(Agim Kelmendi, 18 March 2011 07:21)"

Just to clarify, there were 19 deaths, 11 Albanians and 8 Serbs.

However, it was thousands of Serb homes and 35 Serb churches that were destroyed, not Albanian. It was KFOR and KPS that kept the number of actual Serb deaths fairly small, so don't fool yourself.

However again, Korab_Prishtina made a wonderful post frankly condemning these pogroms. So I wonder if any Serb on the list will rise to his challenge to also condemn, unambiguously like him, the massive crimes of the serbian army in 1998-99, including killing 10,000, driving 850,000 out of Kosovo, destroying 120,000 houses and destroying 215 mosques.

When Tadic was asked, in his otherwise rather reconciliatory talk (another B92 article tonight), we just waffled the usual platitudes on that one. Very sad.

Anyway, the anniversary is March 17-18. RIP to the innocent victims of this bloody pogrom.

Nenad, I am a Kosovo Albanian from Prishtina and I agree that the actions of 17th March riots should be condemned and not ever repeated. It was lives of both Albanians and Serbs that were taken, and frankly nationality is the least of my worries on this matter - it's the human life.

But, can the Serbs be brave and condemn all the human right violations that were instigated by Serbia on the Albanian population in Kosovo during 1998-99?

First, I would like to say....ROLANDI for Kosova President! I agree with you completely.

After what Serbia did to the Kosovars, its completely understandable that they expressed their rage and anguish by rioting against the very same people that put their mothers, fathers, children, grandparents into mass graves.

Lets not forget about the stories from the Kosova conflict and even further back to the Bosnia conflict. What about the little girl that was tied to the top of a Serb tank for over a month and raped repeatedly over and over and then murdered? How about entire families being rounded up and locked into barns and homes then setting it on fire?

RIP to the innocent victims of this bloody pogrom.

, i know that albanians burned churches because they see them as serbian institutions...anyway.

Better get your eyes checked because the rest of the world sees them as churches.
