Right Lazar, obviously you lack the understanding to see my point.

I'll state it more clearly, so because of your obsession with Oct 2000, Ilic should be found guilty of corruption charges?

To be honest if you are so biased against all the politicians who supported / benefited from getting rid of Milosevic, we are fortunate you are not in charge, otherwise you would be conducting political trials against them.

And you might try to post on the subject rather than to remeniss about the good old days of the regime of Milosevic / sanctions / economic catastrophe / war.

bganon, please do not waste time with your OTPOR lies. We all know that the anti-milosevic campaign was financed by the West, and hence was not democratic. Pump in tens of millions into an opposition party in any election in the world, and see how skewed the results turn out. Hence, the 2000 election was not democratic. Even worse, there should have been a run-off election, but thanks to Ilic and other pro-western, we had regime change and colonization of serbia by western corporations.

Lazar that reminds me of the kind of argument by some against Milosevic at the Hague.

'SPS / JUL stole from the people and were anti democratic so therefore I hope he is found guilty of war crimes'.

Clearly this case against Ilic should be about the matter in hand, and not a political trial.

BTW most people in Serbia knew that this character Jocic was corrupt and a key part of the road mafia. Ilic at the very least must have known about the allegations, whether he was involved and to what extent remains to be seen.

The dude did what he could to assist upheaval against Milosevic in 2000. Because of that, the actions against the state, I have no respect for him.
