All this retoric is pure poison and hate. We are our own worst enemies. We let greater powers divide us with made up religions and false nations. While we hate and kill ourselves, the wealthy elite buy all our land and enslave us. Divide and conquer, and we are all willing to play this stupid game at the expense of our children and future generations. Shame on us all.

Seselj is in the same camp as Milosevic, Karadzic, Plavsic, and others who ordered war crimes during yearss in Bosnia.

I wonder how they missed your expertise. If only they would seek advice from people as knowledgeable as you they would not need years of imprisoning this man and still not being able to get a conviction.

Up untill a couple of months ago, everyone was OK with Ghadaffi.

Wake up Amer, there's more to this than what meets the eye.

There is no question Dr. Seselj is entitled to damages for false imprisonment, abuse of legal process, prosecutorial misconduct and extrajudicial kidnapping. There is no other explanation for this travesty of international law - there was no case against Dr. Seselj and no result. He should be freed and compensated.

Quick! To the Hague! Your evidence is desperately needed! Full marks on everything written being completely and utterly wrong! Pat your self on the back and lay off the coffees.

Nuck, my man - you're speaking my language! Decent point, as it goes, and one I'd agree with. You're selling yourselves short with Bangor City too, Anderlecht or Ajax would be much better. Likewise, the 70 days holding out against NATO was far more than ANYONE expected (and I do have some first hand knowledge of this). The Serbs are definitely top of that Balkan league (and I include the Greeks in that) and, for most of our history, were good allies of the Brits. Hopefully that will be the case again.

Speaking seriously, where you let yourselves down is with the whining, the sulking, knocking one off over "Brother Gadaffi", and waiting for Russia to ride to the rescue, sometime in the 23rd century presumably. It's ridiculous and it's not in the Serbian fighting tradition. Then again, none of the real Serbs I've met are like that. Gadaffi's brother and his ilk all seem to live in Canada or Australia or whatever and are clearly under the influence of "decadent Western thinking" haha.

Good result on Sunday, by the way :-)

If they can't convict someone in eight years they should be set free. If they had good evidence he'd be convicted already. The ICTY is very biased against Serbs and gives accusers the advantage, yet still they haven't got him on anything.
Plus there have been actual murderers who've served less than 8 years.

to brit, though your analogy is close (and i am a liverpool fan... but heh, where was everyone else in the 80's?), but not spot on chap.
see, it's not so much like loosing to every team in your league and claiming you're awesome. it's like loosing to the world's top 11 side and claiming that you're awesome.
imagine the red devils, or barca playing a collection of the best footballers of the time. have those top top footballers practices for a while, get in tune with eachother and then play manu... we'll see rooney (who would stay on the manu squad) watching his team (the best in english football-- no doubt) loose their everything...
when nato a 20+ nation military block battles a single nation it is a little lop sided. when nato takes 70+ days to make 7+mill people call uncle it doesn't inspire greatness out of it...
but i do like the football analogy...
one last way to see it...
bangor city may be the best team in the great land of wales... (who? the rest of us ask...) that's right... the welsh league doesn't stack up to even the belgian league (shame/shame really) yet they are the best... but if somehow port talbot town had the chance to get ronaldo, messi, torres, gerrard, lampard, ibrhimovic, etc, etc... they'd destroy good old bangor city, but see, that wouldn't be the port talbot town side really now would it...

Seselj's trial was worth it alone just to watch how a spiritualy superior Orthodox Slav mind triumphs over the corrupt Western mind. Seselj made ALL SERBS proud at the Hague. I am all for the Hague - criminals should face trial.

But I do think eight years is far too long.

Can't these judges do better? Surely they can pick one aspect for which there is clear evidence and at least make one clear decision. What is the point of great minds if they work so slowly?

Aleks

I am sure you (Pacolli) are very proud of Gaddafi, too. Albanians forever throwing stones out of their own greenhouses!

Arresting people on trumped up charges is the ICTY's only triumph. REgardless of whether anything is proved and under the 'joint criminal enterprise' the prosecution can withdraw, add and amend the charges at will, it keeps people the west does not want to see in a position of power and influence out of the political system in the Balkans.

Anyone else find it funny how Seselj is rapidly dragged to the ICTY on the flimsiest of evidence yet the likes of Tomislav Mercep who organized neo-ustasa attacks on serbians in Croatia was effectively ignored until recently? That would be because Mercep is not a significant political figure in Croatia.

In the ICTY, the corruption goes all the way to the top.

Anyhow, I reckon you "great thinkers" should probably stick to that because you're not very good at fighting wars.
(The Brit, 8 March 2011 15:06)

Only someone completely ignorant of history would make such a statement. If you managed to open a history book and read it you would realize the Serbs have martial qualities and a very proud and successful history on all fronts.
Never mind WWI and WWII, it goes back centuries.
As for the 90's, even with Germany and the yanks trying to wipe us out while Russia was on its knees, we still got half of Bosnia and all of Kosovo (see UNSC Resolution 1244), so where is the loss?
As for Seselj, he is guilty of nothing and the NATO war criminals are keeping him there as long as possible at Tadic's request.

Šešelj argued that the proceedings had shown he was not in The Hague over the war crime charges, but rather because the Americans, the British and the European Union did not want him to be in Belgrade.
--
That is pretty much what all this is about. It had taken the NATO court three years to even start this trial and 8 years later it still hasn't completed (i.e. the prosecution presenting their case). Seselj hasn't even started his case and we know he isn't intending to. This just proves the NATO court is there to serve selective justice. What a farce!

Judging by the tone of last year's RTS 1's Raspakivanje program dedicated to Seselj, the Serbian state is preparing the people for his return.
