Fascist nationalist fanatics continue to embarrass the Croatian people. I don't agree with the Hague either but using Ustashi symbols doesn't advance the cause or to help to change opinions of people around the world. You make all Croatians look like Nazis lovers. Pavelic was traitor to his people and a puppet of Nazis Germany. Nothing to be proud of. The Ustashi and Cetniks are brothers in arms they represent no one but themselves. They represent a sick mentality that wants political power and doesn't care about Croatia or Serbia or their peoples.

I thought it timely to return here in light of designer John Galliano's remarks on Hitler, fascism & killing. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCQupzwXS0A) Is he British? French? Would there be cries of ingrained fascism within these nations? Does anyone, anywhere have any Croat citing anything like this in the past decades? Yet, it happens rather routinely within other "nations." Would it be "alive and well" like so many on these pages like to ascertain, in Croatia? It is truly amazing the delusional and skewed world that so many people exist in, be it a heaping of past propaganda, or fed it currently from the biased pages of this site. It's a study in psychology, it is. And yet 10+ million visit Croatia yearly, yet reading these pages one receives quite different views. Some truth and soul searching is truly required, but hope for change is little IMO. And another interesting tidbit, I don't believe this same article was run on the Serbian language side of this site. Just another heaping of things that make you go hmmm. You never know, someone might be reading, and chances are they might have some doubt in the site's professionalism. Best regards.

Ok that’s fine, but what are you doing on a Serbian-based news website if you don’t like what you read???
Oh it was HTV that broadcast Thompson singing Ustashi songs at the rally not RTS.

Dear Sir/Madam
I have spent ther best part of the last hour trying to find evedience from other news sources that can confirm "Ustasha" or other ww2 symbols that were present at this rally , or that it was a "fascist" rally. Let me be clear here and say - i have found none.

You have just lowered your standrds to tabliod sensationalism / untruths in order to sell your product.
It seems to me that what was reportedly said is nothing more than what some serb poster argue on this site every single day.

You once had a high reputation of fair journalism based on facts and truth. After reading your report in relation to this story , seems you may have reverted to a primitive Balkan hate mentality.

Such a shame.

I wonder how long Croatia,a future member of EU will minimize the escapades that some guys call memorable shows, why EU representatives sidestep the most pointed question, reappearing of fascism in Croatia. Their response to the fascist events in that country has always been tepid. They should not forget that the International Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, also known as the Genocide Convention condemned the independent state of Croatia which committed genocide during World War Two killing an estimated 600,000 to 700,000 Serbian citizens. I know that Croatia exercises democratic system of government , and those groups make up a minority of the population ,but public expression of hatred and favouritism of fascism is unacceptable and should be prosecuted. In EU country there is a ban of fascist ideology ,they don,t wear swastika and insignia and they are prosecuted if they publicly make and carry out threats to the citizens of their countries.

(bganon, 26 February 2011 20:26) For the most part it was peaceful protests until the football hooligans showed their ugly faces. To make a show of what bunch of retards that they are any ways every one already knows. Im glad that the police gave the foot ball hooligans a good nightstick beating maybe it will knock some sense into their retarded brains. The EU jib this is what Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor called for the end of the protests, warning that instability could undermine Croatia's efforts to join the European Union. Nobody is interested in her nonsense like most politicians she is far removed from the citizens reality.

"The rally of some 10,000 people, who carried WW2 puppet Nazi Croatian Ustasha regime flags and insignia..."

Where are the cries of ultra-nationalism and facism?

There isn't any photos/evidence ANYWHERE of any "Croatian Ustasha regime flags and insignia" being carried by those 10,000 protesters. That's a shameful lie!

The report reads "The rally of some 10,000 people, who carried WW2 puppet Nazi Croatian Ustasha regime flags and insignia..." What Ustasha icongraphy? Why is the word "Nazi" used in the report? Why is "puppet" added? What icongraphy was present? The Croatian flag? Did all 10,000 people have it? Was it 9,820 that were Ustashas? Was it 12 ? Funny, I was there and I saw absolutely none. But, no matter to you. There were 58 retards arrested - why didn't you report that? Much like any gov't protest in any land, anarchists & thugs ruin it. I'll blog it regardless. - that's why we have the web. Cheers.

Where do you see Ustasha regime flags and insignia? I would ask of you to stop twist the truth.
Respect the people and
places you write about.
And don’t fall into the trap
of writing sensationalism.
There are enough politicians
out there twist the truth
and tell us lies.

Strange thing that Lenard is not here to comment. I guess he was attending the rally, singing a duet with Thompson.
Funny thought how both albs, bosnjaks and croats go into hiding when their native countries/people make a fool out of themselves. Cowards!

Fascism is alive and well in today's Croatia.Nice to see the symbols and insignia on full display which define the Croatian identity.Glad to see Thompson was able to pull himself away from camping out at his idol Pavelic's grave long enough to go and inspire the people at the rally.Thompson please keep up the good work of showing the rest of Europe how proud Croatia is to be such a fascistic society.Any Jews or Serbs in the crowd for you to harass would be icing on your cake. The EU should allow Croatia immediate entry in order to strengthen its neo nazi parties.

Imagine demonstrators wearing SS uniforms and waving swastika flags being allowed to march through downtown Berlin. Or pop stars singing the Horst Wessel song in Vienna. The ustashe were responsible for unimaginable savagery in the name of Croatia. And this is the country that's on the cusp of joining the EU. Where are Croat politicians condemning these lunatics. Some even attend this idiot Thompson's gigs. A sick joke.
