would UEFA ever threaten the English or Italian fans this way....heck no!
(Bryan, 25 February 2011 14:28)

Heck yes, actually. English clubs were banned from all European competitions for 5 years following the Heysel stadium disaster in 1995, which is still by far the most draconian penalty imposed on any footballing country.

Agree with you about UEFA though -completely disproportionate reaction and it does stink of an attempts to fix the group in favour of the Italians.

Platini played in in the final of 1985 during the Heizel drama in Brussels when 38 Juve supporters died. I think he even scored the winning goal. Why did he play?
And other European countries don't have problems with hooligans?

How about they start by cleaning up all the graffiti plastered everywhere by these "football fans" and making our cities look ugly!?!?!

90% of ALL graffiti on the wall is by football hooligans!!

With the state of affairs with Serbian soccer, I too would be a hooligan.

Soccer sucks in Serbia these days. I remember when I moved briefly to Montenegro from Chicago in 1987 and had the pleasure of watching some of Dragan Stojkovic's games. I was about 7 yrs old, but I remember I was completely taken with his performances. He was definitly the best player in Yugoslav history if you ask me.

Too bad the country went to hell in a handbasket though. How can you not miss the days of well played Yugoslavian soccer and YU Rock?

UEFA=Mafia!

What about whats happening in Greece week in and week out with their soccer fans? What about Croatian nationalists and their hooligans koriographing the swastika symbol at games? I say who needs Europe when they treat the Serbian populace like this...would UEFA ever threaten the English or Italian fans this way....heck no!

Savo Milosevic was right when he crticized UEFA...their goal was to make sure at all costs that Italy goes through in the group (Euro 2012). They are fully aware that Italy's side has been weakened and that Slovenia and Serbia are right there challenging for one of two if not both spots. Hopefully karma comes back to bite UEFA in the behind and Serbia and Slovenia go through.
