I didn't know that Serbia already recognized Russian ownership of these islands. Anyway Japan herself is not exactly having an economic boom at the moment to be giving any lavish aid to anyone.
Belgrade should now consider recognizing China's sovereignty over the Sensaku islands (Diaoyu in Chinese) disputed between Beijing and Tokyo.
Serbia should formally announce her recognition of the southern Kuriles as Russian territory! And also declare her abhorrence towards hunting endangered whales for food!
