Wow, how the worm has turned. For “who is not with us then they are against us” to the US now “negotiating with the Taliban”.

How the times are changing at a faster pace than even I thought would happen. A friend explained it easily – no more money so its cut and run, but nicely masked as a win, ha, ha, ha.

"He had it all worked out. Because he knew exactly how they think, how they react, how predictable and brainwashed and uninformed their responses are. How imprisoned they are by their little ME "ally" and the kings and princes of Saudi Arabia."

Here is a kind suggestion. Go take a look at the nationalities of the victims of 11 September 2001. Who knows, you might find Greeks and Cypriots who were working inside the twin towers that day. How many Greeks were in New York that day?

i don't know what countries you guys from but here in moscow we're no buddies with taliban and we know from our own military failures in afghanistan just how hard it is to win war there.

and what do i know, but i think lot of countries across whole world would acknowledge that terrorists who kill innocent people in any country should be regarded as 'enemy'. maybe american military strategy and tactics not so good but i know if muslim fanatics flew jetliners into buildings in moscow i would call on putin and medvedev to show forceful response. after all, what you think we're doing in chechyna? and by the way, we been fighting a long time there and still, problems linger (obviously - look what happened at our airport last month).

and what makes you so sure that whole world fixates on american wrongs? people want to work, to eat, to practise their lives in peace and freedom. as a russian serb, do i blame americans when my jewish neighbor next-door get harrassed by anti-semitics in our apartment bloc? do i blame americans when i read that russia is tenth-ranked financial donor to chernobyl clean-up projekt in ukraine?

ok, america maybe not so great country but come on, you can't blame her for all problems in world. you can't assume that most countries want her to fail in afghanistan.

and you can't tell me you know what osama bin laden's whole strategy was, and that everything happening these past nine years goes completely according to his master plan. i must assume you weren't in his camp with him while plotting downfall of america.

Holbrooke lived long enough to see the US State Dept. talk directly with violent muslim terrorists, just like he achieved in Kosovo, when the US dealt directly with the terrorist KLA, and countless others in So. and Central America, and around the world. Good work, America, the world can always count on you to aide and abet the enemies of the free world.

"Earlier Friday, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the Taliban could not defeat or outlast U.S. military pressure and needed to break with al-Qaida and reconcile with the Afghan government."

And I suppose the Yankees, for all their grossly superior military power and expenditure, could defeat the Talaban? And after over a decade of fighting? Then why bother to seek negotiation? Guess who is really throwing in the towel?

"In a speech at the Asia Society in New York, Clinton said the Taliban faced being labeled "an enemy of the international community" if it refused to break with al-Qaida. "

Really? An enemy of "the international community"? An enemy of the Yankees defintely. An enemy of the major West European countries -- probably true.

But are you so sure that the rest of the some 192 nations of the world (ie. the REAL international community) would agree with that sweeping statement?

Wouldn't surprise me if it turns out that, if you could inject a truth serum into the veins of polite diplomats, that quite a number of these countries actually see the US as the real enemy of the international community!

Judging by the results of the ten year old war in Afganistan one will conclude that FOS Clinton will hardly find anybody in her audience that believes a word she utters.

The truth is that Bin Laden's strategic foresight has outfoxed the US and its allies. He had every move America would make calculated to perfection.

His strategy was to grind America down, hit them - wait for the retaliation, draw them in, wear them down. Watch their geopolitical position collapse as they become overstretched and banlrupt.

He had it all worked out. Because he knew exactly how they think, how they react, how predictable and brainwashed and uninformed their responses are. How imprisoned they are by their little ME "ally" and the kings and princes of Saudi Arabia.

The Afganistan adventure is coming to a close Hillary.Get the welcome party ready.
