- What's your gripe with Frisco?
You should respect a person who speaks the truth...even if you disagree with him.
(metrod, 19 February 2011 15:30)

The problem with both Roberto and Joe (the in-limbo quasi-Hungarian not-American) is not their view - but that they come here with an unacceptable attitude.

And both share the same: they do not want to learn anything - instead, they want to lecture. The style worth a slap in the face and kick in the rear (Joe) and the hair-raising grammar + being the biggest hypocrite (Roberto) is a free bonus.

I disagree with close to the 100% what Johnny, Village-Bey writes and close to the 70% what Amer writes. Ever seen a personal attack? My biggest "problem" with Johnny is that since he is from Vucitrn area (predominantly muslim) - is it an offense if I bring wine or a pack of Impra tea is a safer bet?

Wish, the same "problem" would be with Roberto or Joe.

But: the Albanian denial about Yellow House is nothing compared with what we see from Frisco Lobotomy.... who is not even Albanian.

What the heck? Probably the air in "Frisco" is not as healthy as in Santa Clara?

“Since Kosovo is a European problem, let them bang their heads against the wall how to clean it from all possible forms of crime and war crimes because Kosovo will otherwise become a bottomless pit in which Europe will keep throwing money,” Simić pointed out.

No kidding.... Fortunately Mr Marty is around and will make sure that this place gets cleaned once for all.
Of course neither the United State of Arrogance nor the EU have any intention that someone spoils their party and uncover their mess.
The same scenario happened with the CIA secret prisons with the result we know today....
Good luck and bravo Mr Marty

Zoran, the problem is that EULEX may very well be appointed to spearhead this investigation, and like all other investigations either come up empty handed, throw out evidence on technicalities, or let the investigation indefinitely linger in the inbox.
(Mike, 18 February 2011 17:12)

Mike, I don't think Marty is going to hand over evidence to EULEX, at least not in its current form. He has hinted as such already.

This isn't up to the EU, US, EULEX or UN. Essentially, it is up to Marty himself as he holds the key so unless he is satisfied that competent investigators are in place with a proper witness protection system I doubt very much he is going to put his witnesses at risk. Everyone is aware of this so we continue to wait until some competent authority is formed.

Ideally, this should come from the UN as it spans many countries. EULEX is limited geographically. Personally, I think Serbia should force the issue at the UN so at least the US, UK and others are forced to reveal their hand or to compromise. At the moment they are dragging their feet and attempting to derail the investigation.

Having said all that, I think Marty will spring some more surprises. The guy seems very clued up with how things work.

Mark

Marty can try to delay and drag this thing but in the end he will have to answer and provide the evidence. Also Serbia very soon will be hit with different suits form familiy members of victims in the crimes alredy confirmed by Hague but also by the serbian justice system. Also there is word that after the Kosovo government is being formed they will lobby in passing a EP resolution on 2 thousand albanian victims. You will get what you asked for.

I cannot believe my ears. EU wants evidence to do an investigation, who do they think they are?
Here is a better investigating procedure. Let them go at random. Let them get out of their building in Pristina, go to the first bus stop and ask people there:
What's your name?
Bekim?
Bekim, do you know anything about organ trafficking?
No?
Do you know anybody who might know something?
No?
Ok, next person.
What's your name?
Afrim?
Afrim, do you know anything about organ trafficking?
No?
Do you know anybody who might know something?
What, we should ask Dick Marty you say?
no no no no no, that is a no go. we already asked him twice. Didn't work, so we are going with the only option left to us, asking people at random. We don't really care, you know, whatever we do here, we get paid anyway. Yes yes, we get paid with the Brit's tax money to go to the bus stop and ask you Afrim about organ trafficking.
Is that your bus?"

Jeremic has a better idea instead. Let's form a totally new investigating team, at the UN this time. No doubt, they will be paid by the Swiss's tax money but contrary to EULEX they will do better.

First of all, they will solve the problem of the translators. they will find people who can speak the strict Kosovar dialect of the Albanian language, but who are not Kosovar Albanian themselves. they will find such people in Russia or China, Gabon and Lybia also offered their help. (But Lybia might not be able to help right now, Gheddafi is having some street trouble)

Second, since the Swiss's tax money is better than the Brit's tax money they will be able to buy a ticket to the witnesses to get them out of Kosovo. EULEX does not know how or does not have money to buy tickets to witnesses. After all, really, what do you expect from people who do investigations at the bus stop.

Third, they will live in the Hague, not in Pristina, like EULEX. Sure, life costs 10 times more in the Hague than in Pristina, but who cares, it is the Swiss's tax money. (Plus, prostitution is legal in the Netherlands.) But it is all good because they will be safer this way. They will not live close to the criminals they are investigating. They will not even go to Kosovo for investigations, otherwise they would be in the same danger as EULEX people who are physically there. they will investigate by phone calls from the Hague. Or go to Kosovo in incognito, sun glasses and hats and furtive looks and encoded messages and all.

The eu cannot investigate itself. The eu is equally guilty in these crimes because it covered them up for 12 years. In america, whenever there is a political scandal, the government always calls for independent prosecutors to investigate the scandal. This us opposition to a UN investigation just shows the hypocrisy in us foreign policy - we are fair to ourselves but we screw the rest of the world. What makes me laugh now are some of these Middle Eastern protests are against dictators who are friends with the us and american "journalists" are getting assaulted in the countries. About time. The tadic government has thrown all of its marbles in the eu basket - if Serbia does not become an "official" eu candidate this year, they are out of power.

Mike

pre 13 godina

Zoran, the problem is that EULEX may very well be appointed to spearhead this investigation, and like all other investigations either come up empty handed, throw out evidence on technicalities, or let the investigation indefinitely linger in the inbox. Both Serbs and Albanians are coming to regard EULEX as USELEX since they have been largely, if not altogether completely, unable to solve any of the cases backlogged since 1999 and even before. Serbs complain that EULEX is pro-Albanian because of it inability in finding any suspects who committed crimes against Serbs (the case of the Gorazdevac shootings being the most recent). And Albanians accuse EULEX of being pro-Serb for not lifting a finger on northern Kosovo and designing Kosovo as a EU-protectorate. So EULEX is an equal-opportunity disappointer.

So the US and its allies key on keeping the lid on Kosovo's dysfunctionality and criminal foundations may get their way by feigning an image of pro-activity on the Marty Report by delegating responsibility to EULEX, then making sure any inspectors are led around in circles while evidence is either contaminated or destroyed. I personally don't think we're ever going to see justice in the form we want because no definitive justice has ever been reached for any side stemming from the Yugoslav conflicts when an outside country played a heavy role in the conflict. If Thaci is thrown under the bus, so too will someone like Kouchner, and we can't have someone with his reputation be soiled, right? I really believe evidence was covered up not to protect KLA leaders but Western officials who made Faustian deals with them. Albanians can cheer because evidence was thrown out and enough doubt was raised to keep the case cold, but they won't be able to shake off the stigma already placed on Kosovo. Serbs will be disappointed justice was blocked, but will know that it was because the entire process was manipulated from the start - not because there was no evidence. Result: all around disappointment and a continuation of misery and mistrust in the name of Western-backed stability in the region.

It seems fairly obvious the joint criminal enterprise wants to sweep this under the carpet and hand responsibility to USELESX. I suspect the evidence is in the form of witnesses that some people are very keen to know for obvious reasons. Marty is doing a fine job but witness protection is essential here. Again, the joint criminal enterprise know what's needed but are resisting at all costs. At least they are sweating over it and hopefully they will be exposed soon.

All these people constantly barking "where's the evidence, where's the evidence?" know exactly that it will come once witness protection is established. We also know USELESX is not competent as Marty has already established:
--
Speaking about EULEX, the CoE rapporteur said that there were several highly professional people there but that conditions they worked in were horrible and unacceptable.

“There is no secrecy. All translators are local, there are many local staff. That is why even the most confidential information has been systematically leaking,” he said, adding that if he were a lawyer of a witness in Kosovo he would never advise them to testify before EULEX, “primarily because they cannot protect the witnesses”.
--
Once that problem is resolved then the evidence will magically appear. Enough of the barking my friends, "where's the evidence, where's the evidence" will get you nowhere.

“The EU stands by what is already known and that it that EULEX should deal with the investigation into the alleged organ trafficking in Kosovo and that Mr. Marty should provide evidence for the allegations he made in the report. If he has any. EULEX needs to work based on evidence and Marty was asked twice in writing to produce evidence. Therefore, Brussels only supports EULEX,”
--
It seems fairly obvious the joint criminal enterprise wants to sweep this under the carpet and hand responsibility to USELESX.

Zoran, the problem is that EULEX may very well be appointed to spearhead this investigation, and like all other investigations either come up empty handed, throw out evidence on technicalities, or let the investigation indefinitely linger in the inbox.

But: the Albanian denial about Yellow House is nothing compared with what we see from Frisco Lobotomy.... who is not even Albanian.

What the heck? Probably the air in "Frisco" is not as healthy as in Santa Clara?

- What's your gripe with Frisco?
You should respect a person who speaks the truth...even if you disagree with him.
This thing about the Yellow House is like a low budget horror flick out of Hollywood. It will flop since there's no truth behind it.
