No,no, and no to EULEX investigation! They knew everything and covered the criminals. Who do you want to bring in the investigation team, Couchner? Or Germans,Americans,Brits? They were the buyers and you think that they care about the slaughtered people for their organs? The investigation without Russians, Chinese and dutch will not be trustful.

“There is no secrecy. All translators are local, there are many local staff. That is why even the most confidential information has been systematically leaking,” he said, adding that if he were a lawyer of a witness in Kosovo he would never advise them to testify before EULEX, “primarily because they cannot protect the witnesses”.

We are all interested in the truth concerning the organ harvesting allegations brought forward against the KLA and Thaci. So if this truth is to be exposed, there can be zero chance for any kind of tampering within Eulex and the locals, including the Pristina authorities. I hope you understand this, Ben. You appear to be a relatively educated chap.

So lets use only people who do not speak the language to due the investigating, sounds like a great way to get to the truth to me.
The only Albanian translators are going to have ties to Albania or Kosovo, just like the only Serbian translators are going to have ties to Serbia.
So if you dismiss all the Albanians and all the Serbians why bother with an investigation.
Who did the translation for Marty, he does not impress me as someone who is fluent in both Serbian and Albanian.
Of course the point you are trying to make is that "NO" Albanian can be trusted, and I am sure that the Albanians concur that "NO" Serbian can be trusted. And isn't that exactly the reason the balkans are in such a mess today?
Of course in your mind I am sure you feel your views are warranted and theirs are not.

Albanians just cannot let go of the "victims" card. To do so, would expose the sham that the "humanitarian intervention" in KiM was. BTW, Flora, you and Pristina are in no position to dictate who, when, and how an investigation will be handled concerning the organ harvesting accusations against Thaci and the KLA. Actually, Eulex should be the last body to handle the investigation, as they are littered with local Albanians that would be a major security issue for any witness that came forward to present evidence in a "Innocent victims vs. KLA" trial.
(winston, 17 February 2011 16:57)
The thing is the Albanians have a right to play the victims card, but your problem is when Serbians play it no one listens, I wonder why.
Even in Marty's report he says the magnitude of atrocities that were committed against the Albanians by the Serbs are well documented and without doubt and this is why the world has viewed one side as the innocent victims. He does nothing in his report to cleanse the hands of Serbs.
Serbs will never be seen as the "innocents" you claim in any of the balkan conflicts, so you may as well accept it and move on, because this self denial is only hampering your own future.

No one is questioning the capabilities of the Eulex judges, Ben. It is Marty's evaluation of Eulex, which Zoran pointed out, that brings up problems:

“There is no secrecy. All translators are local, there are many local staff. So what did this august body decide? It's ok - the west can drag its posterior on this issue all it wants - the world is burning in their faces.

The one that are genuinely interested in the TRUTH will insist on EULEX to investigate this case.

EULEX judges are judges of the countries which judiciary system is a benchmark in the world.

You cannot be doubtful in the professionalism of judges of UK, Italy, France, Germany, Sweeden etc...

but be sure on the professionalism of judges from

Gambia; Russia; Gabon or whatever.

This fact should be made very clear to Serbia by EU.

EU cannot flirt with her reputation to spoil Serbia.

This rubbish must stop - or else Serbia's door to EU should be closed as she clearly says: I don't believe le alone share EU values - all I want is your €€€€

This is just one of the countless Serbian hypocrisies.

Regarding Marty’s “doubts” about EULEX stating that "all translators are local":

Well this guy is without any doubt an idiot.

According to this genius if the judges are say from Gabon they will speak Albanian or in the worst case they will bring their own translators from Gabon?????

Whille EULX cannot... there is not even one catedra of the Albanian language in EU universities but there are in Gabon

He is an idiot.

According to him EULEX must take local translators as I guess this genius think that it doesn't have resources to take translarots and other staff elswhere... while say Gabon will have resources and know-how...

let's be serious.

Flora Citaku said the government rejected all accusations found in the Marty report, but that it would not oppose an investigation, "which can be carried out only by EULEX".
--
Oh yes, we all know why Pristina insists this "can be carried out only by EULEX".

Here is what Marty has to say about it:

Speaking about EULEX, the CoE rapporteur said that there were several highly professional people there but that conditions they worked in were horrible and unacceptable.

“There is no secrecy. All translators are local, there are many local staff. That is why even the most confidential information has been systematically leaking,” he said, adding that if he were a lawyer of a witness in Kosovo he would never advise them to testify before EULEX, “primarily because they cannot protect the witnesses”.

Marty will not allow his 2 year investigation be sabotaged by participants of the joint criminal enterprise.

miles

pre 13 godina

Among the countries which supported an EULEX-led investigation were the U.S., Great Britain, France and Germany, while Russia, China, Gabon and the Republic of South Africa assessed that the Security Council should form an international investigating mechanism.

No surprises there then, nice to see South Africa's position, I think they have had plenty of experience in their not so distant past of judicial whitewashes based on racism.
