How unhappy of a person must you be if bad news makes you happy?

Well now that Pacolli is no longer dealing in Russia the Kremlin can finally claim all corruption to have stoped. Because really - there is no corruption in Russia - that's the daily Komersant reporter was so apolled by the scandalous corrupt Pacolli! The Russian and Serbian media outlets are something else! I mean seriously, you have to really underestimate the intellegence of the people you write/report for to be able to produce the kind of information you do. I remember when B92 was a respectable media - now is qouting Komersant - next it will be Russia Today.

RE; Pacolli the businessman

So let me get this straight; Pacolli is a great businessman because he got a contract with Boris Yeltsin. Yelstin the alchoholic who bombed his own parliament buildings and to top it off, collect bribes from Pacolli to rebuild them and put money in his own pocket. Sounds to me the only reason Pacolli got the contract is he was willing to give the biggest kickback(s) to Yeltsin.

Why doesnt' Pacolli try to cut the same deal with Putin or Medeeyev on Southstream and see what the results are. His mickey mouse company is a drop in a bucket to Gazprom.
(Jugslavija, 16 February 2011 21:47) You got to remember gazprom is nothing as pacolli enterprise the gazprom got to the point with the russian taxpayers and the land but pacolli got his own with own talent as a billionaire businessman as starting from Bill Gates and counting down so there is a big difference between smart and rip of dude...

I found the comparison of cars with local politicians hilarious.

I wonder what would happened if Pacolli really become President.

Time for Serbia to move too elect a funny clown as President. Then we both will be ready for dialogue. (Don't get me wrong, Tadic is a clown too, but a sad one and there is no fun in that).

However things were handled in Russia, Carla del Ponte looked at the accusations in Switzerland and didn't see anything worth following. She has a reputation for not being afraid of getting into cases, so if she decided not to follow up, I'd say there probably wasn't much worth following. That the prosecutor brought the case in Russia and then was fired can mean all kinds of things - although I admit it doesn't sound good. Pacolli presented himself as a Yugoslav and bribed corrupt Russian officials into giving him contracts back in the early 90's.Nothing impressive about that.Putin will throw him in prison if he ever shows up in Moscow. On the other hand bribing officials in order to get contracts is nothing new in Russia or Chicago and pales in comparison to the snake feasting on peoples organs.

As for Carla Delponte, she was after him just because he was an albanian, but in the end she was unable to cook up some phony charges against him , and she finally gave up.
Regardless, what we are reading in this artice is no news, becasue we and everybody else knows about Pacolli's capabilities as a bussniss man.

The Kosovars always have the right man for the right job! Before it was Thaci who helped the Kosovars beat Serbia in battle. Now Pacolli is going to subvert and undermine Serbias relationship with Russia and many more countries. Once again an intelligent Kosovar is going to out smart, out maneuver and out fox Serbia. Pacolli talks the talk and walks the walk. Pacolli is a businessman and humanitarian and quite successful at it and speaks fluent Russian unlike his Serbian counterparts. We all know what talks in this world... Money. Russia will sell out Serbia just like they sell out everyone they have ever become "friends" with.

Mabetex which is Pacolli's company was given several important contracts to reconstruct, renovate and refurbish the former Russian Federation Parliament, the Russian Opera House, State Duma and the Moscow Kremlin. I have a feeling that Moscow will take a different approach with My. Pacolli due to his valued work in Moscow. Whats Serbia done for Russia? I know! They sent all of their war criminals to hide like roaches in Russia. Pacolli brings to the table the kind of power each individual Serbian politican doesnt have...wealth, brains and connections. The man is a hero and a real humanitarian. In 2004 he travelled to Afghanistan to free several United Nations workers that were being held hostage. He freed them after 1 month of intense negotiations. If that wasn't enough, two years later he freed a new round of hostages.

What has Vuk done? What has Tadic done? What has Kostunica done? Serbian politicians are only known for their inneffectiveness in fixing Serbia and of being pencil pushers. They cant even "free" their own people and improve living conditions in Serbia let alone hostages in Afghanistan.

This will be the next chapter in Kosovar history that i've been talking about for some time. As I've said many times before... Politics change and so do the politicians. Behgjet Pacolli will be a valuable asset to Kosova and he will be well received by world leaders.

I have a feeling that Moscow will take a different approach with My. Pacolli due to his valued work in Moscow. Whats Serbia done for Russia?
=======================

I'm assuming he was paid very well for that. He has done NOTHING for Russia. He was contracted to work and got paid.
You make it sound like a huge favour.

Kosova is bringing out the heavy hitters to which Serbia has no counter to.

Be ready to be checkmated once again Siberia or Serbia...whatever you guys call yourselves! Its all the same:)

Comedy gold! Of all the dim comments on this thread, this one stands out. So you've appointed a dodgy builder from Russia as president and this represents an unstoppable big hitter. Well congratulations, you must be very proud, almost as proud as you are of the illiterate terrorist who is your prime minister and the real power in the land. Give up now Serbia, there can be no outwitting such brilliant minds!

Agim Kelmendi

With this media report from russia, Pacolli is coming out much powerfull than all construction companies that Russian empire. If they did not have a credible company to restore Kremlin and other state building damaged during USSR fall, than Pacolli deserved all those billions of USD that he received for his crafty work.

Pacoli already brings a criminal record to the table, money laundering and the rest.

If you have seen a picture, he bears a striking resemblance Skender Hyseni who is incompetent to say the least.

Let's see if Pacoli is a bud or a dud but unfortuantely the KLA terrrorist Thaci is still part of the government and yields more power.

Yes, everything is relative. I especially liked the sentence: "Voice of Russia Radio has assessed that Pacolli is “simply an angel” compared to Kosovo Albanian Prime Minister Hashim Thaci."

(which doesn't say much about Pacolli, but more about Thaci).

Quality is relative, too. If they would be cars, Thaci could be a Lada, Pacolli could be a Dacia, and there are no Mercedes or Porsches in Kosovo, not even Fiats and Volkswagens.

It could have been some other case entirely that got him in trouble.

I wonder what would happened if Pacolli really become President.

Time for Serbia to move too elect a funny clown as President. Then we both will be ready for dialogue. (Don't get me wrong, Tadic is a clown too, but a sad one and there is no fun in that).

well, I am sure Pacolli is better than Thaci and company. Sure he is pragmatic and can build better relations with Serbia. As regards his background... the choice in Kosovo is just among criminals so maybe the criminal Pacolli will be better than the criminal Haradinaj.
