@Pijetro

"free speech" usually refers to the ability to express political views without interference from the government.

It doesn't include threats to life and limb, which is a crime.

It shouldn't really amaze me how one has to explain the simplest things to simpletons, but it does.

The people who did it will never be found, because the cops much rather sip coffee and watch tv than do their job! Typical Serbia, upholding of the law/protecting the good is rare.

@ Everybody on these boards...

Yes, it's tacky.
Yes, i think it's disrespectful.
Yes, it's the price you pay for a society that's becoming democratic.
It's called freedom of speech.
What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.

A death notice on the wall is called sarcasm or cynicism . In my opinion, the message is fair game.

Of course, a more clear picture, so i could better read the posters would only be fair...I can't make it out..

Zoran,

Your apologism for serbian primitivism is getting increasingly pathetic.

In a region where people DO KILL reporters they disagree with, this is clearly not some kind of benign "protest"

When criminal Serbs get away with this kind of behaviour it reflects badly on Serbia in the world. I hope they are caught and punished. If they have a case to make, they should make it through democratic channels. They should show respect to the people of Serbian by standing openly and not act as corrupt criminals hiding in the dark.

B92 is a credit to journalism and B92 should be supported by all the citizens of Serbia - not because of what it says, but because it is right that it should be able to say it. Courage and determination from journalists comes at a cost to them - and those journalists deserve recognition and praise for taking the rubbish they have to put up with.

B92 please do continue to challenge the government and the politics and to challenge the corrupt criminals who degrade the lives of Serbian citizens.

I do hope that the bigots who put up the posters are caught. They should not feel big or proud, they should know that they are despised as cowards. Incitement to violence is a very dangerous act and deserves very very heavy prison sentences.

“There’s no doubt that the death notices are a blunt threat to the journalists, but also a warning to potential witnesses about what could happen to them if they openly spoke about the abuses in the Kolubara mines,” NUNS Deputy President Jelka Jovanović.

Well, I have doubt as putting up death notices could mean many things. Like death to impartial reporting and not just a death threat to a particular person. B92 has its editorial slant that doesn't always resonate well with others. This can be seen as a form of protest.
