============================

The war is not over yet. Serbia has plenty of time to win this one.
Yes, I do know all about the wars the US has started by not managed to win.
Not one war since WW2 has America managed to win. Perhaps winning the war is not important to them. What is important is that they cause trouble and suffering and the longer it goes on the more they benefit.

You are just another profitable venture to them.

It's cruel to "liberate" people from colonial rule too quickly - you see the results in Africa and you see them just the same in the Balkans.

...and in some other cases those "liberated" people end up becoming your "daddy".

Kosova History 101: Independence Day Special

The Serbs, or rather their Slav ancestors, poured into the Balkan Peninsula in vast hordes in the sixth and seventh centuries. They overwhelmed the original inhabitant, the Albanian. But though they tried hard, they did not succeed in exterminating him. The original inhabitant, we may almost say, never is exterminated. The Albanian was a peculiarly tough customer. He withdrew to the fastnesses of the mountains, fought with his back to the wall, so to speak, and in defiance of efforts to Serbize him, retained his language and remained persistently attached to the Church of Rome.

Happy Independence Day Kosova!

The KLA won the war, using a combination of fighting and diplomatic techniques. You get nowhere by denying the obvious, and do nothing to increase your own credibility.

In any case, Happy Independence Day to the people of Kosovo!

Ataman,

1) I don’t care to find one – that does not stop me from shooting down ridiculous theories such as yours.
2) No, you did not. However, that is already obvious (even common knowledge in these threads) of your stance. Not a secret really, so I do not see why this point matters.
3) This is not about one’s belief. I really do not care what your beliefs are – all I was pointing out that incriminating a person based on how many hits they get on google, is downright pathetic. And no, I cannot prove either of those people’s innocence, since I am not an investigator, even though I do not have to be one to point an accusation based on a ridiculous basis, when I see one. And believe you me, this one is ridiculous, big time.
4) I am quite relaxed, so worry not (this nice local German brewer’s scotch ale is definitely helping in that regard). I am certainly not offended by your terrible choice of metrics in trying to imply culpability of two people, whom I neither like or dislike, or could not possibly care any less for. And their nationality has absolutely nothing to do with anything. If you are trying to throw mud at the wall and see what sticks, I must say that that is disappointing. I would expect more from you.

The rest of the fluff – I just won’t bother with. Too good of a brew and too good of a night to waste any more bandwidth or brain cycles on.

However, we can all rejoice and celebrate to mark the occasion, and you can join me in saying; "Urime 17 shkurti!" :-)

Cheers.

The Kosovars mastered the concept and won. It wouldnt make much sense for the Kosovars to fight how Serbia would want them to fight would it? If you look at the objectives of the Kosovars...they accomplished all of them

While I cannot see the reliability of your experiment you are missing one big flaw.
You are comparing 2 months of allegations for Marty to over 3 years of allegations against Ahtisaari. So if you wanted to compare the hits accurately you would multiply 18 times Marty's hits which would give youover 136,000 hits compared to Ahtisaari's 31,000.
However that would not be accurate either, to use your method you would have to compare the first 2 months of Marty to the first to months of Ahtisaari.
Even then it would prove pretty much nothing, so in reality your research was not even worth your time.

The only way Kosovo will have a UN seat in November 2011 is being part of Serbia.

# The Kosovars always have the right man for the right job! Before it was Thaci who helped the Kosovars beat Serbia in battle. Now Pacolli is going to subvert and undermine Serbias relationship with Russia and many more countries. Once again an intelligent Kosovar is going to out smart, out maneuver and out fox Serbia. Pacolli talks the talk and walks the walk. Pacolli is a businessman and humanitarian and quite successful at it and speaks fluent Russian unlike his Serbian counterparts. We all know what talks in this world... Money. Russia will sell out Serbia just like they sell out everyone they have ever become "friends" with.

The Truth Chicago

As I've said before, Serbia is its own worst enemy. The current "democratic" leaders are about to be ousted for failing at improving the lives of everyday Serbians.

The protests in Serbia have completely shattered the governments attempt to paint an optimistic picture of Serbia. Teachers and police are on strike: health workers will soon join. Unemployement stands at 19%. The ruling party is fighting amongst themselves.

Now, radical people like Tomislav Nikolic have a voice. Serbia is going back to its roots soon....in voting for the same people like Milosevic, Seselj etc. How will this end for Serbia? The same way that it always does...failure.

Serbia does not know now and never has known how to work together with one another and that is why there will always be turmoil there.

Serbs only know what they are against, but it is less clear about what they are for. Until Serbs can figure out what they are for, they will never accomplish anything.

Kosova on the otherhand is about to be graced with a true leader, Mr. Pacolli. The ship doesnt steer itself which is why its important to have good and effective leaders. Serbia has not had a great leader since................ :)

The Truth Chicago

We all know what talks in this world... Money. Russia will sell out Serbia just like they sell out everyone they have ever become "friends" with.

Mabetex which is Pacolli's company was given several important contracts to reconstruct, renovate and refurbish the former Russian Federation Parliament, the Russian Opera House, State Duma and the Moscow Kremlin. I have a feeling that Moscow will take a different approach with My. Pacolli due to his valued work in Moscow. Whats Serbia done for Russia? I know! They sent all of their war criminals to hide like roaches in Russia. Pacolli brings to the table the kind of power each individual Serbian politican doesnt have...wealth, brains and connections. The man is a hero and a real humanitarian. In 2004 he travelled to Afghanistan to free several United Nations workers that were being held hostage. He freed them after 1 month of intense negotiations. If that wasn't enough, two years later he freed a new round of hostages.

What has Vuk done? What has Tadic done? What has Kostunica done? Serbian politicians are only known for their inneffectiveness in fixing Serbia and of being pencil pushers. They cant even "free" their own people and improve living conditions in Serbia let alone hostages in Afghanistan.

This will be the next chapter in Kosovar history that i've been talking about for some time. As I've said many times before... Politics change and so do the politicians. Behgjet Pacolli will be a valuable asset to Kosova and he will be well received by world leaders.

Kosova is bringing out the heavy hitters to which Serbia has no counter to.

Be ready to be checkmated once again Siberia or Serbia...whatever you guys call yourselves! Its all the same:)

Ataman,

You used the number of hits you got on those keywords on google, to draw up a theory of the probability of Ahtisaari's and Marty's guilt!? I am stupefied. Very revealing at the same time.
(Jetoni, US, 16 February 2011 15:55)

1) Find a better one!
2) Did I ever say I am impartial if it is about politics?
3) I believe what I believe. You can't force me to believe that Ahtisaari is not guilty of being bribed but Dick Marty is guilty unless you prove either beyond doubt. I am not a court and I have my own measures which from your point of view could be fair or not.
4) Relax - no need to be offended if I call certain politicians ugly names. Besides, Ahtisaari is not even Albanian.

If he was bribed by Pacolli - who is more guilty: Pacolli (who allegedly bribed, but never pretended to be impartial and he wasn't set up by a world's authority, U.N.) - or the U.N. envoy who allegedly did a poor job because he accepted the bribe?

Of course, who pays always gets lesser punishment compared with who accepts the bribe.

I don't think this is somewhat we should really debate that much because at this point you won't convince me regarding Dick Marty or Ahtisaari and I won't convince you - and it is not even the topic. All I say, I have nothing against Pacolli even if he - as I believe - did bribe Ahtisaari. This is not a prelude to a new quarrel about Ahtisaari or Dick Marty and I really have no mood to go into one, let's see in few years.

Notice his division of the world into Brits and animals. Notice his "sorrow" for the animals. Notice the double quotes he uses on the word "liberate", when he tries to be sarcastic. This species of 18th century Brit is almost extinct today but you can still find it in forums online mingling with those he despises in a sort of "I'm so naughty" way.

Marty has been bribed, Ahtissari has been bribed - the full program of a conspiracy theory. Guys, these men are honorable people and cannot be bribed that easily. It's not like with politicians in Kosovo, or, to some extent, Serbia. The only politicians Pacclli bribed are the ones from corrupt African kingdoms or tropical island states. And you don't even need to find proof for it: Pacolli was so proud of having 'lobbied' these recognitions that he was bragging about it in public.

The Brit

pre 13 godina

I love the Serbian point of view, Ahtisaari's plan was not what Serbia wanted so he must have been bribed. However, Marty did exactly what Serbia wanted but (so) it was impossible for him to have been bribed?
(pss, 16 February 2011 13:31)

It's not the Serbian point of view, it's the Balkan point of view. Remember all those Albanian simpletons queueing up to tell us that Marty had been bribed by Russia, Serbia, even that anti-independence conspirator Switzerland? (obviously, the Kosovan government, being sophisticated diplomatic types, put it down to "Nazi propaganda" instead, ho ho)

Poor sad creatures, bribery's the only motivation you understand, isn't it? Principle? Even pragmatism? Nah, you can't eat it, mate. It's cruel to "liberate" people from colonial rule too quickly - you see the results in Africa and you see them just the same in the Balkans.

Answer: none has proof. However repeat my experiment. I just googled on

Ahtisaari + bribing + BND keywords

and received over 31000 hits.

Than I googled on

Dick + Marty + bribing + Russia

and received 7560 hits.

Both are up in the air, one seem to be more likely than the other. Let be simple-minded or just simplify the case. According the "common knowledge" the likeliness of Ahtisaari being bribed is about 4 times higher than the likeliness of Dick Marty being bribed.

This closes this part of the case because like with the religion there is nothing to debate about the "likeliness", "probability" or "chances". You can bet on the sickest horse and it still can win, of course.

Of course everyone bets on own horse regardless how sick it is. The numbers above suggest some chances for the horse to win.

Presdinet's post is ceremonial and nothing else. In Serbia , the Oresident calls all the shots and your PM is nothing but a statue. It reimds of Swiss guards at Vatican City.
(Agim Kelmendi, 16 February 2011 08:39)

Yes, in quite some countries it is the way as in USA, Serbia, Russia, France: the President is the elected figure and PM (or VP) is kind of #2. Of course in Russia there is now some controversy because the PM is the powerful ex-president.

In Hungary, however is like in Albanian part of Kosovo: PM has the word and the president is largely symbolic.

That could change in both. Orbán is looking to cement is power probably by eying the presidency and increasing the power of the president later by constitution change (and because of 2/3 majority he can do it).

If Pacolli can deliver what he promises ( = jobs for South, jobs for North) - than he will have people behind him to do the same.

Now let's see, what Pacolli is good for - he already proved, he can pull some major reconstruction projects (see Kremlin). Of course, not without black money.

What really Kosovo needs is to refurbish the entire province, clean up the streets and the politics from the rubbish. As for streets and construction: here without slightest doubt Pacolli is the man. Not sure about the politics, here hoping is cheap, costs me nothing.

It is interesting to observe, some politicians we love to hate have actually very nice "better part" - and here "better" is really better. Not much is spoken about Ms. Çeku who is Serbian. Not much about Ms. Orbán either - but the few things I heard about her are all pretty nice.

Now there is ONE SINGLE exception to the case where husband is rotten and his wife is even more, hell waits for them impatiently. Hint: he was a president of a major country and she is in charge of the foreign politics of the same country now.

The Kosovars mastered the concept and won. It wouldnt make much sense for the Kosovars to fight how Serbia would want them to fight would it? If you look at the objectives of the Kosovars...they accomplished all of them

The Kosovars always have the right man for the right job!

It's not a matter of winning battles, but of winning the war. Australia was right there with us in Vietnam, don't you remember how we never lost a battle, but ended up losing the war? Everybody else certainly does.

(pss, 16 February 2011 13:31)

The Kosovars always have the right man for the right job!

Military Doctrine the KLA followed...

Clausewitz:
Superiority of numbers
Concentration of forces
Surprise
Defense has an advantage

People must support
Hit and Run tactics
Provoking reprisals against civilians builds popular support
Wear down will of regime

They fought a "Fourth Generation War"
-Their goal was political not military.
-Organize conflict so as to:
*Peel elites away from regime
*Build international support for insurgency
-"Battles" are P.R.

GOALS OF THE KLA's WAR:
-Defend our families
-Build popular support thru resistence "Slap them in the face" in Drencica
-Avoid annihilation
-Import arms thru Albania thru Dukagjini
-Interfere with lines of supply in Llapi
-Attract international intervention
-Retreat into guerrila warfare during NATO bombing

Folks, the KLA was one of the most successful insurgencies of the post-Cold War era. To the likes of Peggy and others....you dont grasp the concept of "asymmetric warfare". The Kosovars mastered the concept and won. It wouldnt make much sense for the Kosovars to fight how Serbia would want them to fight would it? If you look at the objectives of the Kosovars...they accomplished all of them

Ataman

---

I love the Serbian point of view, Ahtisaari's plan was not what Serbia wanted so he must have been bribed. However, Marty did exactly what Serbia wanted but (so) it was impossible for him to have been bribed?
(pss, 16 February 2011 13:31)

Here's more common knowledge to you:

Serbia alone is guilty of the latest Balkan wars; Serbs butchered 12 thousand Kosovo Albanians; Dick Marty is paid by Moscow and Belgrade.

I wrongly expected you being aware of what common knowledge is, namely arguments that appeal to people no matter are they true or not.

Your comment fell to same category as JohnBoy's comment "In real countries, the president is elected by the people".

According JohnBoy's knowledge Germany, Italy and Greece, for example, are not real countries.
