Perhaps you care to refresh our memories and let us know who mentioned what you claimed above, when and on which treads. Just point 1 or 2 instances will do.

It is so convenient to make claims on things that happen so long ago that no one remembers or can easily trace, is it not? I would bet you can't!

LOL!

Last year when I was posting that the ICJ could only offer an advisory opinion to an impotent UN body, people were jumping all over me saying "no no, it's not so; I know it!"

Now that Serbia got an answer from the ICJ that they don't like, Serbs are very quick, suddenly, to point out that the ICJ can only offer advisory opinion.

that serb apologists dont seem to be intelligent enough to not be embarrassed by continuing to use the term "illegal" regarding kosovo is pitiable.
(AdamNYC, 14 February 2011 04:04)

RE; A,B,C.....

You certainly have reading and comprehension problems; the ICJ offered an advisory position which in the first place is not binding. Notwithstanding that is not legally binding, the ICJ opinion is not clear cut at all about the independance of Kosovo.

UN Resolution 1244 still stands and if ICJ was a "legal opinion" as you understand it, than it needs to be confirmed with a new UN resolution which has not happened. The new UN resolution calls for technical negotiations and nothing more or less.

I'm confused now. If the Kosovan state is so legal and recognised, surely it should have a seat at the UN. Can anyone explain this?

I see what you joke about. Hopefully the participants on both sides will be people who aren't suspected to be involved in anything ugly - so that kit won't be necessary.

This is an other case to demonstrate to Amer that saying about "shirts". As long as the "shirt" is not theirs (i.e. as long as they weren't involved) there won't be a reason to put it on (i.e. display any emotion related to organ trafficking).

These talks need at least show some success - because there is currently no dialogue of any form.

Serbia can submit its resolution on the illegal kosovo UDI to the UNGA this fall with no problems.
(JohnBoy, 13 February 2011 19:24)

sigh...

serbia has already done so.

serbia already spoke loud and clear at the UN... Its official response to kosovos independence and the icj ruling... has been to not only refuse to make any further legal challenge, but to sit down with the very same people they insist do not exist.

I can never decide to laugh or cry at the poor souls that cling to such empty hopes for no reason.

The UNGA has no power. It can not achieve anything. The most it can do is make a recommendation to the UN Security Council.

(JohnBoy, 13 February 2011 19:24)
Never heard of a planned resolution on the UDI of Kosovo at the UNGA. Probably for good reason. The bulk of the world in fence riding on the issue right now. As long as they have not made a a committment one way or the other on the recognition of Kosovo, they have not upset the ones on either side of the fence.
Also Serbia can claim that they do not support an independent Kosovo, Which is totally different to the claims of many here that they support Serbia.
Serbia has spent all their energy trying to delay more recognitions, such a move would only speed up the process and I do not think Serbia nor you would be happy with the results.
Once 50% of the UNGA has been attained there will be no need of further lobbying of other countries and then the only obstacles in the way are Russia and to a lesser degree China.
Do you really have the naive arrogance to believe that there is nothing in this world Russia and China wants more than to stand behind Serbia. All govts operate under the premise of taking care of No 1 before number 25 or 30.
So expect no resolution on the UDI at the UNGA.

Thaci will not be at the talks, neither will Tadic, The talks, at least initially will involve low level govt officials that have no power and no authority.
Look at the head of the Serbian team, an unknown until his name surfaced. The head of the Kosovo team will be an "assistant" minister of some department and not even a full minister, same as in Serbia.
(pss, 13 February 2011 19:41)

I am well aware of that pss, but just the idea that any team from Kosova is representing PM Thaci, and that is the same as Serbian team representing Tadic, and Tadic has no choice but to talk to Zmija. Ops, I almost forgot that Thaci was indited, charged and convicted by Serbian cangooro court long ago. What now for Serbian officials?

Serbia does not recognize 'Kosovo' and therefore will not have minister to minister meetings or (further) undermine it's position. Not read the news then?
