so, they agreed to run Kosovo the next four years, hum?

...as if it was a drugstore, right? =)

this will have an end, and these clowns will either end their lives behind bars or be killed by their very own thugs...

oh, by the way, has anyone taken notice of the discussions in Switzerland to revoke the socalled "recognition" ?

it needs only one such decision, and others would follow. keep that in mind, my dear k-albanian friends...

Pacolli's diplomatic "triumphs" were achieved by paying his own money to the leaders of tiny impoverished specks of land like Palau in exchange for recognition. I'm sure Russia and China do have their price, but suspect it is higher than even an oligarch like Pacolli can afford.

Another funny comment, beyond me. Can I just ask you how could you make fun of that if you really belive the accusations or you don't belive them and now you make jokes on every article about kidneys?

Can you show me even one article of mine in which I declared Marty's accusations to be definitely true? I willl tell you now that you can't because I never did so. I have been saying all along that these accusations need to be investigated by impartial judges. It did seem strange to me that Marty would sully his own reputation by making wild accusations in public unless he believes in them. That's why we need objective judges to investigate and decide the truth.

Yes, I did make a joke about Thaci. If that displeases you, well, this is a free forum and you can always disregard my posts.

I am against big business owners having political power in such a direct way, it generates conflicts of interest and does not usually go well, but maybe that would be too ideal and after all Pacolli got some votes and as long as he plays by the rules it is ok. Man, that was a long sentence. It also looks like he has been somewhat successful in lobbying for recognitions for Kosovo, so to take Ataman's line of thought one step further: could we expect recognition from Russia, or a softening of Russia's stance in the near future ;)? Just pointing out that "friendship" usually works in two directions. Also one maybe should highlight his strong ties with Switzerland.

How anyone can form a coalition with Thaci is beyond me and he even has the backing of at least 20+ minority seats, 12 of them being K-Serbs.

The answer is probably in these words:

"“A condition to enter coalition with the PDK has been met. President Pacolli will run the country until conditions have been met for the people to choose the president,” said one of the AKR deputy leaders. "

I.e. crook or not, organic hashish or not - but politics is politics obviously.
Why? Do you think Obama had so much love for Hillary who only few month before she was chosen to run for the Dept. of Sate called Obama names?

He was judging, it could benefit his goals... So did Pacolli. Morale and politics meet only as an exception. In most cases we, the voters judge not who is the best but vote merely for the lesser evil.

I still think, Pacolli is one of the lesser evils - time will tell, am I wrong or not.
Also have to admit, his good relations with Russia does play for me a certain role.

Mr Q, what with Marty, the Russians, certain countries of the EU, Amnesty and HRW all working for Serbia and now Pacolli / Thaci...

In fact probably none of them are working for Serbia at all. Each have their own interests after all. It is strange I must admit, that all of a sudden things seem to be going right for the Serbian position. Then again things were going so bad for so long yang has to catch up to ying.

But I agree with you to some extent. From Kos Albanian perspective Thaci needs to be in opposition (or arrested, depending on your viewpoint). He is compromised and (ironically) for that reason he will compromise too much. Pacolli is delighted to be in this position as the senior partner will not be able to excercise power. Pacolli will then have power but without having to take much blame if things go wrong. In the end Pacolli hopes to take the crown by himself.

Koso speaking for myself I think the allegations of an extreme crime are not a laughing matter.

Mr Q

This coalition is the best outcome that Serbia has hoped for. Neither of them cares for Kosova and its people, all they care are the power and their positions. Thaqi is uneducated crook and Pacolli is power monger.
The absolute worst combination that could had happened, it looks as if it was designed by Serbia.

Don't forget that the Bosnian members and Turkish counterparts formed a coalition today taking up 6 seats.

to the Serb: for someone who believes in these allegations, aren't you laughing at innocent dead souls?
