Minister says government "lost authority"

The Serbian government has lost its authority, says one of the deputy PMs and the country's economy minister, Mlađan Dinkić.

Unless Tadic wants to end up like that other puppet ruler currently in Egypt, he would have the decency to call elections. First we were promised EU candidate by 2009, then 2010, now not until the end of 2011, by which time the EU has gone bankrupt, And Serbia's economy has gone down.

Its fairly obvious to most that Tadic was only elected in the first place because it was the alternative was a party run by Seselj. However, that alternative has been replaced by the far better SNS, which, should elections be called, they would win in a landslide.

So we continue to witness certain government parties positioning themselves for an early election campaign.

The other week we had Dacic complaining about an alleged 2 party system being created, now G17 are suggesting that government parties are not doing a good enough job.

If governing parties think that they can tap into public discontent they will be disappointed. Of course its to be understood that some of them are as afraid of losing their deposits as they are of losing 'authority'...
