In order to gather evidence, investigators had installed computers equipped with cameras and microphones, the AFP said. Cool but some people in the top levels of government will be pissed off their big cut is getting smaller. Its more of a show that Romania is doing something about corruption to get EU money flowing back again. I wont be surprised all those arrested will be back next month at their posts and back to the usual business.

Six months ago our sons visited Serbia and Romania. They took a train from Timisoara to Belgrade. Just as they crossed the border into Serbia, they were asked to move to another train car by an employee. Before they could move, men entered and right in front of them, these men began to quickly remove the train’s interior walls and ceiling and crammed goods inside these spaces. They then replaced the material and screwed it back into place.
Our sons now tell this story with humor but admit they were really uncomfortable when they were sitting in that train car.
