Feith can 'extend his mandate' by buying little blue diamond shaped pills. Apparently they also extend 'reputation'.

What benefit is there to extending this failure? He is partisan, first port of call when local institutions fail to deal with their own problems. The sooner he goes the sooner the local corrupt politicians will have to take responsibility for their own actions (apart from blaming foreigners/others).

Only in the Balkans an entity such as EU has abundant bureaucrats without formal mandates and clear responsibilities. Feith, Ashton, Kemb(something), etc.

ICO, Troika, EULEX, Special office of affairs...

There is such a thing as TOO much plurality.

To be fair though, the success or failure of Feith's mandate is to be measured by EULEX which certainly has a different perspective than does either Kosovo or Serbia. Afterall, it is EULEX that is still ultimatly in charge of the situation in Kosovo.
If Europe wants an extended mandate, than who are Serbia and Kosovo to say anything. Afterall, it was both Kosovo and Serbia that agreed to this situation.
