Oman recognizes Kosovo

Kosovo Albanian authorities in Priština have announced on Friday that the Middle Eastern state of Oman has recognized Kosovo.

Firstly, I have never lived in Serbia so I have no home there to "return" to.
Australia is my home. It's a place where all my childhood memories are and my family is. I really don't have to justify why I don't "return" to Serbia but it seems you can't imagine why someone of Serbian blood chooses to live in another country. This is my home, this is where my memories are and my children are.
Is this enough for you? Do I need another reason?
I don't have to live in Kosovo to be logical. All people are the same. We all want peace and a better life. Now if that means accepting Serbia as my country, as a K-Albanian I am sure I would do that. What has this fake independence given you or offering your children?
The reason Snake killed so many of his own is because that is precisely how some K-Albanians felt. Don't tell me then there are none left who feel this way. They are simply too scared to express it openly but give them time.

Bad guys v good guys? Typical Hollywood movie.
Civil wars are brutal and bloody. Everyone kills and gets killed. Everyone has their share of crimes committed and Albanians are certainly no exception.
Just because media war was won by paid propaganda and therefore Serbs looked like the only bad guys don't think that the world has not woken up now? Everyone committed crimes back then and if you think that the world is so naive to believe your propaganda that Serbs are so powerful they could actually fight three sides and commit such genocide then you are very silly.
Croatians killed Muslims in Bosnia, Muslims killed Croatians too. Not all non Serbs were killed by the Serbs you know and Serbs were also victims in many crimes committed against them.
Operation Storm and Medek are just two. How about organ harvesting being looked into now?
You are not the good guys you like to portray yourselves as. Actually the real victims were the Serbs in all this. The fact that they were good enough to give you a run for your money is the only thing that saved them, while you had to cry to NATO and hide under their skirts.

A few quick points about the Croatian "Storm." If it wasn't for the US funding the Croatians and putting A NO FLY ZONE over the Balkans, do you think the Croats could have pulled that off? Once again, only stating things you want others to know...

Second, I was born and raised in the US. What should I do? Give up all this and go back to the homeland like some you have been trained to do and provide for the ENTIRE extended family? Get a clue...

And finally, Russia was weak back in 1998, things have changed and most of it is not in your favor. Grow up Albanians...

"Kosovo" will never enter the UN(thanks China,Russia) nor NATO or EU (thanks Spain,Romania etc.)!
This will stay until the day x comes,when illegal Albanians will be flushed out once and for all (and I don`t care if they want to or don`t want to,they are living on Serbian land,they will have to)of our Serbian province by force together with all their international "humanitarians" a la roberto,biserko etc.(who is in fact nothing less but a pro albanian fascist who denies the Marty report adopted even by the EU and the US!

B92, do you care to ask Vuk even once about these recognition? After all, he is working on behalf of Serbian people and someone should ask him whether those commitments he "won" against Kosovo's independence are real. Just a suggestion.

Serbia should be a little concerned because Kosovo is being recognized at time when it has faced great challenges with no government and the dick report.
I remember 3 years ago Serbs here were betting their chests saying Kosovo will be unrecognized by some of these countries. Not a single such "un- reconnection" yet. Anyone care to reflect on their thoughts from 3 years ago?

Remember, the UN came into existence in 1945. And guess who created the UN...Some entities called USA, Republic of China (modern Taiwan), England, etc etc. Would you call these entities in 1945 "real countries" or "fake countries"? Basically, all those countries that existed before the UN are an exception to your theory. History is full of them, some are still alive some are long gone. Not just a handful.

I'm talking about the situation nowadays, and not 50 years ago, or 100 years ago, or about the good old times of the Illyrians 200 years ago.

A current list of the non-UN Member 'countries' is: Vatican (not really a state), Palestine, Western Sahara(split-off of Morocco), Nothern Cyprus (Split-off of Cyprus), Taiwan (Split-off of China) and Cook Islands and Niue (two island states, associated with New Zealand, with a population of about 10,000 not worth to mention as a country). And, of course, Kosovo.

All other states are UN-member countries. Get it?

--What I do know is that I've claimed consistently since day one that Kosova will continue to win recognitions despite Serbias best efforts to STOP them, while each and every one of you Serb supporters said the recognitions would stop, not just today, but yesterday and the day before that, and the day before that one, and the month before that and the year before that one.

despite the recent and ongoing smear campaign (it really cannot be described as anything but) and the non-stop frenzy of their media (organ trafficking -- organ trafficking -- organ trafficking!!!)kosova continues to move on, to progress. no demise. no implosion. no falling to its knees... of course problems, plenty of challenges, nothing unique to the balkans, to the world during a major "recession." but considering everything, doing pretty well.

really i appreciate greatly! all of our kosovar collegues, and allies, who have stayed strong, continued to look forward, continued to see the long view. never to be too distracted or distressed by all of the lies, the hate,the racist attacks, etc. here is to all of you, cheers!

just one more point. in this forum there is that constant tension, "you k-albos -- you serbs, bla bla..." i've always objected to such aggressive generalizations and i continue to. not ALL serbs are joining in with the smear campaign. certainly not the blgd dissident intellectuals. sonia biserko has long been a strong supporter of an independent kosova, long maintained direct contact with kosova's citizens, albanians, serbs, whoever. she and her colleagues are among the best and the brightest, bar none, and should be recognized as such.

it's not their fault, not our fault, that they are utterly silenced and marginalized in the media there.

anyway thank you, oman, and alway thanks to our frnds and allies around the world, whatever their religion or ethnicty, who cares!

To all the 'greater serbian' myht makers and fantasists who keep saying no UN recognition, no EU membership , no this , no that and so on. Lets play out your little theatrics shall we.

Ok - given that it is unlikely that Russia and China will recognise Kosovo , and by vitue of self interest as opposed to principle , some EU states will act the same , far from Kosovo being in some form of limbo where everyone will cut off aid and no one will invest and then Kosovo will apperently have to "reintergrate' with mother serbia , the following is far more likely to happen-

No UN seat or EU membership - after prolonged theatrics by all sides , everyone , including the Kosovo leadership will realise options will be limited ....
Conclusion - the only logical conclusion that allows the EU to maintain a united face , remove the endless aid , and allow political mnouvering by the bigger powers , as well as perfectly serving the aspirations of the Kosovo Albabinas is an inevitable UNION with Albania proper. This simple act will allow everyone to extracate themselves from a very difficult situation - i.e. no recognition of any UDI , and allow any political deal to gain the legitimacy from the Kosovo Albanians - which is the only absolute in this whole complex saga.

Given all the options that will opposed by one side or the other and the ongoing cost associated with a stalemate ; this seems to be an unrecognised but very realistic final scenario.

Whatever happens one thing is CERTAIN. Serbia has lost Kosovo. Its gone , its not coming back - deal with it.

U said Kosovo is Dependent on other EU countries and US. Who is not dependent on other countries last time I checked Serbia was taking loans from IMF and much much needed free cash from EU. Its not like Serbia is a Germany and is giving to others.

Slowly they will reach majority of the world and maybe not in UN right away so what its ok Taiwan is doing just fine and China is much stronger than Serbia.

So relax enjoy your new home in USA and as u know u are dependent on other people every day.

Dependent or independent, we don't want to be ruled by Serbia and don't want anything to do with that country. Kosovo is independent and in couple of years will be recognized by majority UN members. Let's see how long Russia can hold on to it's veto and at the same time be taken seriously by other ''major players''. And don't be worried about the economy of Kosovo because Kosovo will make it and one day in near future will be economical independent. Investor will come to Kosovo because Kosovo is in the heart of Europe with a young and strong educated labour force. A country needs only two things to attrack foreign investors and that is good roads and reliable 24 hour enercy supply. This two things are being dealt with so in 2 to 4 years Kosovo will be ready for all foreign investors.


Kosovo will not be what you serbs hope it to be ,an ''black whole'' of Europe. Kosovo will blossom and nobody can stop that.

The best part about all of this is that despite Serb propoganda and manipulation, Kosova independence recognitions continue to go UP as of this very exact day and the Serbian living standards continue to go DOWN!

Continue to go up? Continue to diminish with every year that passes. Look at the figures a different way round. 117 still havent recognised. Last year's recognitions numbered less than one every month. You talk of Serbia's living standards falling despite the reports of the upturn in the strength of the currency and an increasingly strong position moving forward into the EU. I would hardly consider the situation in Kosovo to be strong by any measure. Run by ex terrorists (allegedly) the "prime minister" implicated in a variety of crimes and the economy totally destroyed. I can see no immediate or even long term improvement in this situation if things remain as they are.

Im half Montenegrin and half Albanian and I think both sides offer something special. I was never brainwashed into identifying with one side or the other. Rather, I was raised to know what is wrong and what is right. Honestly, the Balkan macho-bravado attitude is pretty irritating. I like to think that im a pretty reasonable man..I just like to say some outlandish stuff on B92 because..well...thats what gets the thumbs up or down. In the end...i get my message across.

You speak of yourself as if you're dressed up in your best tweed jacket smoking a pipe attending Harvard with comments like "but I and other Serbs in Academia are ripping apart any arguments you may throw at the impressionable minds of Canadians and Albanians." I find it hard to believe that you're somehow bumping into groups of Albanians that are swinging bats at you and making threats on your life because they disagree with your half baked arguements.

You're right, most of the KLA were not professionally trained fighters. Does that discredit their amazing achievement of kicking out the Serb army and building the strongest alliances with the most powerfull countries in the world? If you would stop thinking of battle as just muscles and guns, you would realize that the Serbs were outfoxed on every level from building alliances, to making the RIGHT friends, to fighting "smartly". If dressing up as a woman to sneak thru enemy territory is a cowardly act...then im not sure how you feel about spies and special forces that use deception as the mainstay of their combat tactics? The idea is to not get caught and cause damage where you can and to live to fight another day. Again, you're so full of Balkan Macho-Bravado that you fail to realize this.

The KLA was comprised of the people! Villagers, doctors, farmers, teenagers, school kids and even women! They had something the biggest bullet or bomb cannot get you....COURAGE. They fought the way that they could with what they had. According to you, SErbian soldiers have the best army. Why didnt they win then?

The whole idea behind Yugoslav territorial defence was to win a war of attrition...meaning to last until there can be a lasting political settlement. Every person of Yugolsavia was a soldier in the event of war. Their aim was not to destroy every last enemy soldier. Its your mindset that was exhibited by most Serbians during these wars and by the Government and the military that cost you dearly. Its easier to have a fantasy in your head thn realize the reality on the ground.

You told me to not let the "facts" fool me. I wont let the facts fool me...Ill actually believe AND enjoy them because its looking pretty good for the Kosovars in the long run.. Until then, YOU can disregard the facts and believe your "unproven theory" about where things are going.

Im proud of what the Kosovars have done. They serve as an example to everyone else in the world that is repressed on what can be acheived with determination, courage, friendships and intelligence.

Thankfully, Kosovo hasnt been recognised by any nation of significance since April 09. Oman was simply following Qatar and Saudi Arabia, who recognised it simply on the fact that it is an Islamic republic in Europe, Yemen is also likely to recognise, but what does it matter, I cant see Oman or Yemen holding much power in the world It wont change the fact that Kosovos declaration is Illegal, Immoral and just plain sickening.

On March 15th last year he has visited Oman and called to the government of this country not to recognize Kosovo. Just to let you know that you can feel all confident about this, but I and other Serbs in Academia are ripping apart any arguments you may throw at the impressionable minds of Canadians and Albanians. So you may have won the battle, but you will ultimately lose the war because many of your brethren over here are nowhere to be found in Academia. And when we do run into some of you on these college campuses, many revert to the typical threats and bullying when they cannot argue in any constructive manner to retort our views about Kosovo.

And as one person already pointed out, as someone who saw it first-hand (even saw Geraldo Rivera being used as target practice by Serb gunners on the border- priceless), many of your "mighty" UCK fighters fled like little women into Albania as the US and others fought your battles. Oh yes, training the “professional” UCK fighters to use rocket launchers was hysterical too as a few were injured in the process of training in Kukes. I could go on but I’ll save it for a later date…
Well, you are beholden to them and now that they are out of money.... guess who's going to be watching it fall apart???? But don’t let the facts fool you….enjoy your recognitions...

As I pointed out a while back, when Kosovo gets recognized the pro-KosovO side come out in force on an English-Serb site to act jubilant as if something mythical happened. Amazing the time and effort some of you have (not to mention a few of you are probably paid hacks to boot). Let me reiterate to you Albanians a few things, AGAIN:

No Chinese and Russian approval means no UN seat and no major loans from the IMF and World Bank.

No Spain, Slovakia, Greece, Cyprus and Romania means no EU seat, which a few of you seem oblivious to.

Besides those obvious facts... no one with any economic sense will invest in Kosovo, and when the Europeans and the US cut off the handouts, then what? OOOHHHH, but feeling "independent" feels so good though. Ratchet up that butter …mmmmm… Many of you have no clue just how DEPENDENT you will be on others for your own survival in the very near future, but hey- your “independent”!!!!

So here's some tips- roll up your sleeves and try to get some work for the relatives back home because it is, and will continue to be, one giant welfare state for the "cause” that will continue to be a burden financially to many of you (but then again, you’ve been taught that it’s OK). Instead of spending your vast amount of spare time chiming in on this site and others, do something productive instead of acting like a bunch of petulant children with a smug smile like you have accomplished something. Just some food for thought....

I'm Sorry to dissapoint you but Mubarak wouldnt of lasted 30 years without the USA's backing. The chances of new, anti-american rulers recognising a state that was based on an illegal military operation, Ethnic cleansing and Organ theft. Hopefully the Russian influenced block of the middle-east countries will crack down.

Muslim countries of the middle-east and all around the world have responsibility to give an adequate answer to the country that deliberately destroyed thousands of mosques and killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims.

It is in their shame that they are hesitating and refusing in doing the right thing:

Recognize the sufferances of the martyr Kosova that they saw with their own eyes.

Kosova could and should be a starting point where the middle-eastern countries will meet the west and start normal relations.

Kosova won the military battle, and now they are going to win the techinical political battles every step of the way...slowly but surely.

Hopefully the Russian influenced block of the middle-east countries will crack down.

Muslim countries of the middle-east and all around the world have responsibility to give an adequate answer to the country that deliberately destroyed thousands of mosques and killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims.

Thankfully, Kosovo hasnt been recognised by any nation of significance since April 09. The only major battle the UCK tried on the Serb Army back in 1998/99 was at Orahovac and I don't think I have to remind you how that turned out do I? As I pointed out a while back, when Kosovo gets recognized the pro-KosovO side come out in force on an English-Serb site to act jubilant as if something mythical happened. Amazing the time and effort some of you have (not to mention a few of you are probably paid hacks to boot). Let me reiterate to you Albanians a few things, AGAIN:

No Chinese and Russian approval means no UN seat and no major loans from the IMF and World Bank.

No Spain, Slovakia, Greece, Cyprus and Romania means no EU seat, which a few of you seem oblivious to.

Besides those obvious facts... no one with any economic sense will invest in Kosovo, and when the Europeans and the US cut off the handouts, then what? OOOHHHH, but feeling "independent" feels so good though. Ratchet up that butter …mmmmm… Many of you have no clue just how DEPENDENT you will be on others for your own survival in the very near future, but hey- your “independent”!!!!

So here's some tips- roll up your sleeves and try to get some work for the relatives back home because it is, and will continue to be, one giant welfare state for the "cause” that will continue to be a burden financially to many of you (but then again, you’ve been taught that it’s OK). Instead of spending your vast amount of spare time chiming in on this site and others, do something productive instead of acting like a bunch of petulant children with a smug smile like you have accomplished something. Just some food for thought....

What I do know is that I've claimed consistently since day one that Kosova will continue to win recognitions despite Serbias best efforts to STOP them, while each and every one of you Serb supporters said the recognitions would stop, not just today, but yesterday and the day before that, and the day before that one, and the month before that and the year before that one.

To all the 'greater serbian' myht makers and fantasists who keep saying no UN recognition, no EU membership , no this , no that and so on. Lets play out your little theatrics shall we.

Ok - given that it is unlikely that Russia and China will recognise Kosovo , and by vitue of self interest as opposed to principle , some EU states will act the same , far from Kosovo being in some form of limbo where everyone will cut off aid and no one will invest and then Kosovo will apperently have to "reintergrate' with mother serbia , the following is far more likely to happen-

No UN seat or EU membership - after prolonged theatrics by all sides , everyone , including the Kosovo leadership will realise options will be limited ....
Conclusion - the only logical conclusion that allows the EU to maintain a united face , remove the endless aid , and allow political mnouvering by the bigger powers , as well as perfectly serving the aspirations of the Kosovo Albabinas is an inevitable UNION with Albania proper. This simple act will allow everyone to extracate themselves from a very difficult situation - i.e. no recognition of any UDI , and allow any political deal to gain the legitimacy from the Kosovo Albanians - which is the only absolute in this whole complex saga.

Given all the options that will opposed by one side or the other and the ongoing cost associated with a stalemate ; this seems to be an unrecognised but very realistic final scenario.

Whatever happens one thing is CERTAIN. Serbia has lost Kosovo. Its gone , its not coming back - deal with it.

Its easier to have a fantasy in your head thn realize the reality on the ground.

Just to let you know that you can feel all confident about this, but I and other Serbs in Academia are ripping apart any arguments you may throw at the impressionable minds of Canadians and Albanians. So you may have won the battle, but you will ultimately lose the war because many of your brethren over here are nowhere to be found in Academia. And when we do run into some of you on these college campuses, many revert to the typical threats and bullying when they cannot argue in any constructive manner to retort our views about Kosovo.

And as one person already pointed out, as someone who saw it first-hand (even saw Geraldo Rivera being used as target practice by Serb gunners on the border- priceless), many of your "mighty" UCK fighters fled like little women into Albania as the US and others fought your battles. Oh yes, training the “professional” UCK fighters to use rocket launchers was hysterical too as a few were injured in the process of training in Kukes. I could go on but I’ll save it for a later date…

despite the recent and ongoing smear campaign (it really cannot be described as anything but) and the non-stop frenzy of their media (organ trafficking -- organ trafficking -- organ trafficking!!!)kosova continues to move on, to progress. no demise. no implosion. no falling to its knees... of course problems, plenty of challenges, nothing unique to the balkans, to the world during a major "recession." but considering everything, doing pretty well.

B92, do you care to ask Vuk even once about these recognition? After all, he is working on behalf of Serbian people and someone should ask him whether those commitments he "won" against Kosovo's independence are real. Just a suggestion.

Serbia should be a little concerned because Kosovo is being recognized at time when it has faced great challenges with no government and the dick report.
I remember 3 years ago Serbs here were betting their chests saying Kosovo will be unrecognized by some of these countries. Not a single such "un- reconnection" yet. Anyone care to reflect on their thoughts from 3 years ago?

Dependent or independent, we don't want to be ruled by Serbia and don't want anything to do with that country. Kosovo is independent and in couple of years will be recognized by majority UN members. Let's see how long Russia can hold on to it's veto and at the same time be taken seriously by other ''major players''. And don't be worried about the economy of Kosovo because Kosovo will make it and one day in near future will be economical independent. Investor will come to Kosovo because Kosovo is in the heart of Europe with a young and strong educated labour force. A country needs only two things to attrack foreign investors and that is good roads and reliable 24 hour enercy supply. This two things are being dealt with so in 2 to 4 years Kosovo will be ready for all foreign investors.


Kosovo will not be what you serbs hope it to be ,an ''black whole'' of Europe. Kosovo will blossom and nobody can stop that.

Civil wars are brutal and bloody. Everyone kills and gets killed. Everyone has their share of crimes committed and Albanians are certainly no exception.

"Kosovo" will never enter the UN(thanks China,Russia) nor NATO or EU (thanks Spain,Romania etc.)!

The best part about all of this is that despite Serb propoganda and manipulation, Kosova independence recognitions continue to go UP as of this very exact day and the Serbian living standards continue to go DOWN!

Continue to go up? Continue to diminish with every year that passes. Look at the figures a different way round. 117 still havent recognised. Last year's recognitions numbered less than one every month. You talk of Serbia's living standards falling despite the reports of the upturn in the strength of the currency and an increasingly strong position moving forward into the EU. I would hardly consider the situation in Kosovo to be strong by any measure. Run by ex terrorists (allegedly) the "prime minister" implicated in a variety of crimes and the economy totally destroyed. I can see no immediate or even long term improvement in this situation if things remain as they are.

Australia is my home. It's a place where all my childhood memories are and my family is. I really don't have to justify why I don't "return" to Serbia but it seems you can't imagine why someone of Serbian blood chooses to live in another country. I don't have to live in Kosovo to be logical. All people are the same. We all want peace and a better life. Now if that means accepting Serbia as my country, as a K-Albanian I am sure I would do that. What has this fake independence given you or offering your children?
The reason Snake killed so many of his own is because that is precisely how some K-Albanians felt. Don't tell me then there are none left who feel this way. They are simply too scared to express it openly but give them time.

Just to let you know that you can feel all confident about this, but I and other Serbs in Academia are ripping apart any arguments you may throw at the impressionable minds of Canadians and Albanians. So you may have won the battle, but you will ultimately lose the war because many of your brethren over here are nowhere to be found in Academia. And when we do run into some of you on these college campuses, many revert to the typical threats and bullying when they cannot argue in any constructive manner to retort our views about Kosovo.

And as one person already pointed out, as someone who saw it first-hand (even saw Geraldo Rivera being used as target practice by Serb gunners on the border- priceless), many of your "mighty" UCK fighters fled like little women into Albania as the US and others fought your battles. Oh yes, training the “professional” UCK fighters to use rocket launchers was hysterical too as a few were injured in the process of training in Kukes. I could go on but I’ll save it for a later date…
Well, you are beholden to them and now that they are out of money.... guess who's going to be watching it fall apart???? But don’t let the facts fool you….enjoy your recognitions...

Muslim countries of the middle-east and all around the world have responsibility to give an adequate answer to the country that deliberately destroyed thousands of mosques and killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims.

As I pointed out a while back, when Kosovo gets recognized the pro-KosovO side come out in force on an English-Serb site to act jubilant as if something mythical happened. Amazing the time and effort some of you have (not to mention a few of you are probably paid hacks to boot). Let me reiterate to you Albanians a few things, AGAIN:

No Chinese and Russian approval means no UN seat and no major loans from the IMF and World Bank.

No Spain, Slovakia, Greece, Cyprus and Romania means no EU seat, which a few of you seem oblivious to.

Besides those obvious facts... no one with any economic sense will invest in Kosovo, and when the Europeans and the US cut off the handouts, then what? OOOHHHH, but feeling "independent" feels so good though. Ratchet up that butter …mmmmm… Many of you have no clue just how DEPENDENT you will be on others for your own survival in the very near future, but hey- your “independent”!!!!

So here's some tips- roll up your sleeves and try to get some work for the relatives back home because it is, and will continue to be, one giant welfare state for the "cause” that will continue to be a burden financially to many of you (but then again, you’ve been taught that it’s OK). Instead of spending your vast amount of spare time chiming in on this site and others, do something productive instead of acting like a bunch of petulant children with a smug smile like you have accomplished something. Just some food for thought....

Continue to go up? Continue to diminish with every year that passes. Look at the figures a different way round. 117 still havent recognised. Last year's recognitions numbered less than one every month. You talk of Serbia's living standards falling despite the reports of the upturn in the strength of the currency and an increasingly strong position moving forward into the EU. I would hardly consider the situation in Kosovo to be strong by any measure. Run by ex terrorists (allegedly) the "prime minister" implicated in a variety of crimes and the economy totally destroyed. I can see no immediate or even long term improvement in this situation if things remain as they are.

Remember, the UN came into existence in 1945. And guess who created the UN...Some entities called USA, Republic of China (modern Taiwan), England, etc etc. Would you call these entities in 1945 "real countries" or "fake countries"? And, of course, Kosovo.

Dependent or independent, we don't want to be ruled by Serbia and don't want anything to do with that country. Kosovo is independent and in couple of years will be recognized by majority UN members. Let's see how long Russia can hold on to it's veto and at the same time be taken seriously by other ''major players''. And don't be worried about the economy of Kosovo because Kosovo will make it and one day in near future will be economical independent. Investor will come to Kosovo because Kosovo is in the heart of Europe with a young and strong educated labour force. A country needs only two things to attrack foreign investors and that is good roads and reliable 24 hour enercy supply. This two things are being dealt with so in 2 to 4 years Kosovo will be ready for all foreign investors.


Kosovo will not be what you serbs hope it to be ,an ''black whole'' of Europe. Kosovo will blossom and nobody can stop that.

Civil wars are brutal and bloody. Everyone kills and gets killed. Everyone has their share of crimes committed and Albanians are certainly no exception.
Just because media war was won by paid propaganda and therefore Serbs looked like the only bad guys don't think that the world has not woken up now? Everyone committed crimes back then and if you think that the world is so naive to believe your propaganda that Serbs are so powerful they could actually fight three sides and commit such genocide then you are very silly.
Croatians killed Muslims in Bosnia, Muslims killed Croatians too. Not all non Serbs were killed by the Serbs you know and Serbs were also victims in many crimes committed against them.
Operation Storm and Medek are just two. How about organ harvesting being looked into now?
You are not the good guys you like to portray yourselves as. Actually the real victims were the Serbs in all this. The fact that they were good enough to give you a run for your money is the only thing that saved them, while you had to cry to NATO and hide under their skirts.

Firstly, I have never lived in Serbia so I have no home there to "return" to.
Australia is my home. It's a place where all my childhood memories are and my family is. I really don't have to justify why I don't "return" to Serbia but it seems you can't imagine why someone of Serbian blood chooses to live in another country. This is my home, this is where my memories are and my children are.
Is this enough for you? Do I need another reason?
I don't have to live in Kosovo to be logical. All people are the same. We all want peace and a better life. Now if that means accepting Serbia as my country, as a K-Albanian I am sure I would do that. What has this fake independence given you or offering your children?
The reason Snake killed so many of his own is because that is precisely how some K-Albanians felt. Don't tell me then there are none left who feel this way. They are simply too scared to express it openly but give them time.

Every person of Yugolsavia was a soldier in the event of war. Their aim was not to destroy every last enemy soldier. Its your mindset that was exhibited by most Serbians during these wars and by the Government and the military that cost you dearly. Its easier to have a fantasy in your head thn realize the reality on the ground.

You told me to not let the "facts" fool me. I wont let the facts fool me...Ill actually believe AND enjoy them because its looking pretty good for the Kosovars in the long run.. Until then, YOU can disregard the facts and believe your "unproven theory" about where things are going.

U said Kosovo is Dependent on other EU countries and US. Who is not dependent on other countries last time I checked Serbia was taking loans from IMF and much much needed free cash from EU. Its not like Serbia is a Germany and is giving to others.

Slowly they will reach majority of the world and maybe not in UN right away so what its ok Taiwan is doing just fine and China is much stronger than Serbia.

Remember, the UN came into existence in 1945. And guess who created the UN...Some entities called USA, Republic of China (modern Taiwan), England, etc etc. Would you call these entities in 1945 "real countries" or "fake countries"? Basically, all those countries that existed before the UN are an exception to your theory. History is full of them, some are still alive some are long gone. Not just a handful.

There is no illegal albanian in Kosovo. You will never get to determine who has right to live in Kosovo and who has not.
Secondly: You will find many albanians that would not elect Thaci, but you will find zero albanians who will accept autonomy under Serbia.

To all the 'greater serbian' myht makers and fantasists who keep saying no UN recognition, no EU membership , no this , no that and so on. Lets play out your little theatrics shall we.

Ok - given that it is unlikely that Russia and China will recognise Kosovo , and by vitue of self interest as opposed to principle , some EU states will act the same , far from Kosovo being in some form of limbo where everyone will cut off aid and no one will invest and then Kosovo will apperently have to "reintergrate' with mother serbia , the following is far more likely to happen-

No UN seat or EU membership - after prolonged theatrics by all sides , everyone , including the Kosovo leadership will realise options will be limited ....
Conclusion - the only logical conclusion that allows the EU to maintain a united face , remove the endless aid , and allow political mnouvering by the bigger powers , as well as perfectly serving the aspirations of the Kosovo Albabinas is an inevitable UNION with Albania proper. This simple act will allow everyone to extracate themselves from a very difficult situation - i.e. no recognition of any UDI , and allow any political deal to gain the legitimacy from the Kosovo Albanians - which is the only absolute in this whole complex saga.

Given all the options that will opposed by one side or the other and the ongoing cost associated with a stalemate ; this seems to be an unrecognised but very realistic final scenario.

Whatever happens one thing is CERTAIN. Serbia has lost Kosovo. Its gone , its not coming back - deal with it.

Oman, once a great upholder of international law has now succumbed to the appeal of lawlessness. What a tragedy :)
B92, do you care to ask Vuk even once about these recognition? After all, he is working on behalf of Serbian people and someone should ask him whether those commitments he "won" against Kosovo's independence are real. Just a suggestion.

Serbia should be a little concerned because Kosovo is being recognized at time when it has faced great challenges with no government and the dick report.
I remember 3 years ago Serbs here were betting their chests saying Kosovo will be unrecognized by some of these countries. Not a single such "un- reconnection" yet. Anyone care to reflect on their thoughts from 3 years ago?

Yet the moment a country recognizes, it becomes a "quasi-statelet", not even "real".

Gosh, one has to wonder why serbia puts so much effort trying to sway these countries in the first place When they "obviously" dont matter.

What is "planned"... is serbias contempt for anyones intelligence by painting non-recognitions as having been "support" for serbia. and when these "friends" make a decision, well it seems serbs will be serbs and stick their heads in the sand in denial.

Independence is a Reality. Recognitions are Inevitable. Propaganda is irrelevant.

Every recognition is another nail in the coffin of serbias failure to use political propaganda in futile effort to stop the inevitable.

That`s not important.
"Kosovo" will never enter the UN(thanks China,Russia) nor NATO or EU (thanks Spain,Romania etc.)!
This will stay until the day x comes,when illegal Albanians will be flushed out once and for all (and I don`t care if they want to or don`t want to,they are living on Serbian land,they will have to)of our Serbian province by force together with all their international "humanitarians" a la roberto,biserko etc.(who is in fact nothing less but a pro albanian fascist who denies the Marty report adopted even by the EU and the US!
It is like me saying that the Holocaust is a smear campaign against the German people!
I think it is good that roberto is finally laying off his mask (hiding behind "humanitarian" babbling to impress naive Serbs)and showing his true face and nature...)

A few quick points about the Croatian "Storm." If it wasn't for the US funding the Croatians and putting A NO FLY ZONE over the Balkans, do you think the Croats could have pulled that off? Once again, only stating things you want others to know...

Second, I was born and raised in the US. What should I do? Give up all this and go back to the homeland like some you have been trained to do and provide for the ENTIRE extended family? Get a clue...

And finally, Russia was weak back in 1998, things have changed and most of it is not in your favor. Grow up Albanians...
