It looks like Marty took a page from comunist system how to investigate cases. all eastern block countries during comunist era, they had the investigating judge do what ever they wanted, such as; planting evidence, making evidence desapir, and so on.
In democratic countries the system is very clear, and the prosecutor handling the case works hand in hand with few investigators from the very beggining of the case till th end, and the prosecutor will present the case in court room , where the jury will decide the case. There are speedy trial where three judges preside and they decide the faith of deafendent.

I have no idea what Serbia has to worry about because the so called Stealth technology is more propaganda than reality. In 1999, after several stealth fighters were shot down by the Serbs these US superior aircraft were only used as background during press briefings.

Why should Serbia worry? The Chinese compensated some farmers for collecting some high-tech souvenirs on their property. Remember it was a French NATO officer, somebody with a conscious, who communicated NATO flight routes to the Yugoslav army and they shot down the
F-117 fair and square (maybe with some luck, but who cares). I am sure that the Russians also got their share and now have their stealth fighter as well. The balance in air domination will be restored and nobody is going to start WWIII because of this incident. Espionage and stealing are quite common. Personally I think those Serbian farmers are heroes and I hope they and their families enjoyed, enjoy, and will enjoy the hopefully generous compensations that were paid. Finally, I am 100% sure they will do it again if the opportunity would arise and because of that they should have 0% regret.
